Very likely the shop will have cctv, and that security guy saw something. Maybe you will remember his number plate too, or at least car description. Definitely let the police know, this moron needs sorting out sooner rather than later. London cops are good, they will take care of you xx

Thankyou. Have reported to police and they will be getting back to me in 72 hours. Even if I am over reacting at least I know I've done the right thing. Just so shocked by the attitude some men have towards women, and vice versa I guess.. And now another 2 innocent girls have been taken in South Aus where I'm from! What is going on?!

Good girl :) You are not over-reacting, normal human beings don't behave like that creep did. Even if you're the first one to report him at least something is on file now. If a few more girls in Melbourne had reported certain goings on it's possible Jill M might be still with us.
Keep safe and WARM in London:seeya:

Hi Jmbr, glad you have reported this incident to the Police.
Be sure that you are not over reacting and you have done the right thing by reporting to the Police.

There are some very good sites on line which give good safety tips for women, I was reading them yesterday and there are some things which I would never have thought about doing if I was in certain situations, e.g. if you are walking along and a car pulls up along side you and you have a gut feeling something is not right etc. turn around and walk in the other direction and try to get into a store asap, it will take the car long to do a u turn to follow you. They also say for women (and men) to walk purposefully when out, head held high, the perpetrators are always out there scouting for a victim, we need to look confident and assertive, go out at times when there are lots of people around, never when it's dark on our own and never, never allow yourself to be taken to a secondary location.
Stay safe.

Absolutely DrWatson. SPECIAL REPORT:The demon inside Leslie Camilleri. DEPRAVED triple killer Leslie Alfred Camilleri might just be the devil incarnate behind three horrific murders. THE ACCOMPLICE:Sex predator's partner-in-crime SADISTIC rapist and killer Lindsay "Kiwi" Beckett gave chilling evidence against his partner-in-crime Leslie Camilleri. www.heraldsun.com.au IMO these two predators should never be released.

Everything has gone so quiet with Sarah's case, I wonder why? I wonder when we'll hear more?

Back when I was a spring chicken I used to pick up hitchhikers in Melbourne and drop them off half way/to their house etc...

Wow, thesedays I would NEVER do that. I used to drop them off when I just a lone driver (no passengers), when I was 18/19 and didn't know anything about them. I used to trust people a lot. Then I met a friend who's dad was a police officer and he told me all the horror stories possible to scare me off doing idiotic things like this, and of course I read about Ivan Milat.

After reading many true crime books and knowing a few officers I came up with my own motto of 'trust no-one.' Harsh, I know, but if you know me your trust has to be gained.

I heard about this case and Jill's case and my first instinct was an ex of mine. He was an aggressive man who never treated ANYONE with respect. It's sad the world is full of so many evil people.

We need stronger jail sentences, we need people put away for LONGER, if not for ever if they do such a terrible crime such as killing or raping someone. Maybe people would learn that crime is then not the way to go and they don't just get off so easily.

I hope this evil, evil man goes away for the rest of his rotten life.

Victorian Government to Toughen Parole System after ‘failure'
Matt Johnston From: Herald Sun February 05, 2013 4:04PM
Premier Ted Baillieu said: "Parole is a privilege, not a right, and community safety has to be the priority," he said. "Victorians have a right to go about their daily lives without facing threats from people who are already known to be dangerous. These changes give effect to that proposition."
Minister for Corrections Andrew McIntosh said the laws would bring parole practices in line with what Victorians want.

Nice to know that all these sex offenders could, up until now, reoffend with no consequences. Parole = Freedom.

Isn't the point of parole to release them on the condition that they do not reoffend, aren't they still serving out a sentence. What a joke. Too little too late.

Interesting article for Victorians from Alan Howe, Herald Sun, February 11, 2013 12:00AM
IN VICTORIA, justice can be a privilege rather than a right.
Murderers, paedophiles and fraudsters have rights - plenty of them. And their interests are assiduously attended to by the State. We are all innocent until proved guilty and that's as it must be. But the State is too ready to protect the rights - sometimes even the identity - of the yet-to-be-found-guilty and the already convicted.
