I visited Mackay this weekend and drove past where Shandee was murdered. So sad, still flowers on the edge of the footpath as a reminder. Boddington st is a mix of new units and old houses. I hope the police charge someone soon.
"I wanted to talk about my new relationship with Shandee,'' she said.
"I want people to know that it's still important to me to be Shandee's mum.
"I can't imagine life without her, so I'm doing things to make sure she is still in my life.''
After eight months, Ms Blackburn is still hopeful an arrest will come soon.
A march in north Queensland tonight will be held in honour of Mackay woman Shandee Blackburn, who was killed while walking home from work in February.
The annual Reclaim the Night march is held around the world every year to raise awareness about the rights of people to feel safe on the streets.
Tonight's march in Mackay will be lead by Shandee's mother Vicki Blackburn.
She says the march was something Shandee had wanted to do.

Police seek information on white car, Shandee Blackburn murder
Police are appealing for assistance from members of the public to identify the white vehicle pictured above as police believe the occupant/s of the vehicle may be able to assist the investigation.
That is a pretty distinctive looking vehicle. And it looks as though it has one of those extended side mirrors on it - the kind that people who tow a caravan sometimes have on their vehicle.

Looks more like a snorkel to me. Used to clear the water from the engine when your crossing water.

Is that what those things are that face away from the windscreen!? Always wondered what they were for (and obviously never asked  ). Those weren't invented when I lived in the outback years ago.
So this is probably a vehicle that spends most of its time in the outback, I would think. Needed to cross shallow creeks and flooding water at times. And Mackay is absolutely surrounded by outback.
I thought too that it was a snorkel. I struggled to identify make and model though... Even on computer screen. It would be helpful if LE had the vehicle correctly identified and released that info.
