A man has been taken to the Princess Alexandra (PA) hospital following a shooting incident at Capalaba this evening.

Around 7:25pm, police were called to a Denison Court residence in relation to a disturbance.

A man was injured when an officer discharged his firearm and he is currently being treated for his injuries at hospital.

If Sophie hammered him hard .. which it looks like she may have done .. I guess that may be why he decided to 'display' her after her murder. In his anger, maybe he wanted to 'humiliate' her.

And now he is hiding with his black eyes and swollen nose .....

That makes a lot of sense, SouthAussie. Good thinking :loveyou:

I know this is a pointless comment, but I just never cease to be amazed at why anyone even tries to run from the police after a murder. I can only imagine it's a pretty anxious time waiting for the police to catch up, especially when your picture is all over the news! But even people who think they can get away with it, how can they go about their daily business? Like Adrian Bayley trying to clean up the car and change the tires, that totally freaked me out. I don't understand how this Ben guy could just stand there at the rail station and hop on a train after what he apparently did. Yeah, I know he could have been on drugs and if he just committed murder then he's probably not high in the moral stakes anyway. I'm writing this rambling post because both my mum and I sometimes have nightmares where we have killed someone and the whole dream is about the guilt and extreme anxiety of being caught. We were talking about it the other day, and about how we would have to turn ourselves in immediately because the guilt and fear would be so overwhelming. I think I'd be totally catatonic. So I see these pictures of this guy just standing there smoking a cigarette, and he's still hiding out, and I just can't comprehend it. Ok, I'm just tired and that's my rant.

I wonder if this is our man? No way to tell yet, of course...but the report so far doesn't say if the man actually LIVED there, or was a guest (e.g. in hiding).

Someone like Milward isn't going to be feeling guilt and fear in the same way someone like you would, Brightbird :seeya:

This guy would be way beyond guilty feelings IMO......he'd have hardened long, long ago into someone lacking any conscience, I suspect.

BBM The other thing is, if Benny Boy is narcissistic ( as so many criminals are), he may well think he's in control of the situation and really clever. He may be gloating as he watches the investigation play out in MSM rather than feeling anxious the way a normal person would.

Although I hope he's totally freaking out right now!!!

But it does seem to be common amongst serial killers to gloat at outsmarting everyone. And Alex McEwan who killed poor Eunji Ban was following the manhunt online (until a friend dobbed him in).

Could be unrelated but hoping it is him...

A MAN is in hospital tonight after he was shot twice in the stomach when he charged at police when a Taser did not work.

Police swarmed the Denison Court, Capalaba home around 7.25pm.

It is understood the man was shot twice by a female police officer after he charged her partner, when a Taser did not work.

He reminds me a heck of a lot of pics I saw of Steven Hunter and Adrian Bayley. It's disturbing. They all seem to look similar and have the same stance. I believe they have their eyes on the right guy (especially after reading his Facebook comments-creepy!).

So sorry for Sophie. It could of been any one of us. Wrong place, wrong time and some psycho taking his frustrations out on someone he doesn't even know. I have no doubt whoever did this will jave a history of violence and drug abuse. They always do..

On another note about his accounts not being touched sinve Thursday, most centrelink payments go in on a Thursday on a fortnightly basis. He wont have money again and therefore no need to use his account till this Thursday.
Hope he is caught by the time I wake up tomorrow. I doubt he will hand himself in.

Yes, I suppose you're right. I hadn't really considered that anyone could be anything but anxious with the police after them like this. But I guess it could be a thrill for a narcissist/anti-social. Of course, we don't know much about him and maybe he is scared out of his wits somewhere. But obviously not scared enough to come forward and get it over and done with, and that's what stuns me every time. I have to say, I was also wondering if he suicided but then I read that police have new leads (which I just assumed are about his whereabouts).

Angry men. Assuming police have the right guy, I'm going to hazard a wild guess that Sophie rejected his advances. My gut sense with AB and SH, and possibly this guy, is that these men loathe themselves but are in denial. They compensate by working out and building muscles. But then they are rejected or humiliated by a woman (who is totally out of their league) and that makes the self-loathing come up to the surface. Murder is the ultimate denial of that, they take it all out on the woman instead of themselves. Both Jill Meagher and Sarah Cafferkey's bodies were discarded and Sophie was degraded by leaving her naked in public. It just screams contempt for their victim. I truly wish there was a way of identifying these men before it's too late. Granted, I'm making some generalisations here.

I couldn't agree more-you have said it perfectly and sadly, I think it is indeed another angry man who doesn't handle rejection too well. Oh I'm sure people closest too them could see something bad coming..not a lot that can be done about it till they hurt someone unfortunately :*(

Thanks for the Centrelink info!!:seeya:

Of course - he wouldn't have any money going in for another fortnight so why would he access his bank account?

I still wonder if he planned to do something that night as he withdrew ALL his money.......but maybe he always just took it all out straight away. Many unknowns :tantrum:

Thanks for that, MTBiker.:seeya:

From that article (BBM):

Benjamin James Milward was released from jail in December 2012 after serving time for assault, The Sunday Mail can reveal.

Milward went back to prison for breaching his parole over violence and was released around July last year.

The 25-year-old – who has referred on Facebook to serving time – also has a history of offences relating to drugs and robbery.

I know we've all said it a million times - but I can't believe they just let these guys out!!! Even after he'd breached parole for violence!!!:banghead:

Just like Jill:

http://m.couriermail.com.au/news/qu...n-south-brisbane/story-fnihsrf2-1226874064339

French student Sophie Collombet declined offer of lift home the night she was murdered in South Brisbane.

Just like Jill as well, I suspect that we will find she was raped. Judging by the comments on FB, it sounds like BJM (if he is guilty) had little to no respect for women and saw them as nothing but a way to scratch an itch.

He's probably dead anyway. It said in MSM that a friend had contact with him in the previous 24 hours, but no date was given for that contact and it was just after the police released his name and photo. After his details were released he probably did himself in.

I wonder if this is related: http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/...-street-brisbane/story-fnihsrf2-1226875865000

A MAN is in a serious condition in hospital after a coward punch at a Brisbane City bus stop.

Police say the man was standing at a bus stop on Roma St about 1.30am Sunday when the alleged attack occurred.

It is believed he was punched in the head by another man and then fell and hit his head on the ground.

He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries.

Police are search for a man who they describe as Caucasian, about 180cm tall and with a medium build and short blonde hair. He was wearing jeans and a light blue shirt at the time of the incident.
