My oh my...one on the right looks a hell of a lot like Ben..again being reminded of when all the similar sketches of Adrian Bayley started coming to the surface after he was caught. Might see something similar happening here. Maybe the police were already getting suspicious of Beeny boy which could explain why theyffocused on him so quick.

Sounds like his mother is already beginning to accept it was probably him "I am heartbroken, still in shock, just can't believe it...it's like a nightmare" and also " We're going to stand by him, he is still my son".
No protesting his innocence anymore. Maybe she has found out some more info ?

I have a feeling he's going to admit some level of guilt here, based on his mother visiting the memorial. Whether that means he'll agree to the Murder charge, or some lower level of culpability and try and make some kind of plea I'm not sure.

Depart Coffs 1.30 - No stops.

My guess is they will do it in about 3 hr 45 min - code clearance - and be at Roma street at around 5.00 pm.

It will not be a pleasant drive for BM.

Possibly get bored enough to do some confessing. Cops gain his confidence during the trip and he tells all.

Our cops are smart enough to utilise this time with him.

Voice record......ON

Hope we do hear how the police managed to catch him - was he in contact with mum who was going to bat for him no matter what or did he get followed from his last known destinations.

Milward's mother, Diane, on Tuesday visited the rotunda where Ms Collombet's body was found to pay respects and lay flowers.

'I am heartbroken,' she told News Corp Australia.

'We are all so sorry and sad and it shouldn't happen to anybody - and a beautiful girl like Sophie she's just gorgeous, it's just wrong.

'I'm still in denial I think just hoping for some glimmer of hope that it's all a big mistake.

'Were going to stand by him, he is still my son.'

:goodpost: so very wrong isn't it Amee.
Govt. lawyer and all the rights YOUR tax payer dollars can fork out.
All the rights under the sun....

Sophie was the student achiever with all the potential ahead of her., walking home from the uni.
(I think the uni students should have a safer route home)

Like water & oil these two don't mix.

Completely agree with you Amee!! :seeya: Don't apologise.

How cowardly the big man is now, huh? Now that he's surrounded by other men.

He makes me sick, attacking a woman like that. And now he tries to hide his face.

Please

I dont think I could do that. Ive never been in Dianne Milwards position and pray to God I never am. But I couldnt, not yet anyway .Maybe in time and in private.
I understand people do things different and Im probably more different than others but no.

Isis am I way off with this thinking?

honestly Aimee this is a special case I am sure you and I - a son of ours was implicated in any way with a murder and chose to run - we would never stop chasing him down -and I know if I caught him I would make him answerable to his actions. The public have a need to know what made him run. Maybe it was his guilt for committing a crime or fear of admitting to something he saw, or any alternative threat (maybe drugs) etc.....

But there is not way in the world I would stand in the way between him and his punishment - consequences are what shapes our behavior and the need to be 'saved' is never as important as making sure we are responsible for our actions.
