Has it ever been mentioned that Stephanie was attacked at the school? Similarly was VS ever actually at the school when Stephanie was there? All I've read is that VS is a cleaner at the school. It could be that Stephanie picked up the keys from VS's house and dropped them back when she was finished at the school. He may have ambushed her at his home. There seems to have been a lot of forensic activity at VS's house, where there wasn't the same activity at the school. All this according to MSM of course. It was also mentioned that VS's family members had been away, so VS would have had the house to himself.

VS's neighbour said that VS had been cleaning up his backyard in the week before Stephanie disappeared. VS owns a ute with a black canopy. Did he load his ute up with the rubbish from his backyard ready to take to the landfill and recycling depot located in Corbie Hill Road? Did Stephanie end up in the back of that ute also? Blood was found in it. Chances are! VS could have easily taken the ute to the landfill depot and disposed of everything in the back of it. Perhaps he had a burn-off prior to leaving home or even at the landfill depot.

How Stephanie's car got to where it was found on Griffith Road is still a mystery though. From what I've read ^upthread^, it may well have been dumped there as late as Wednesday. If that is the case, how and where did VS conceal the car? It is interesting to note that the landfill depot in Corbie Hill Road is in the opposite direction to where Stephanie's car was found on Griffith Road. Was VS trying to use a bit of psychology by dumping her car in the opposite direction to where she actually was. Of course this is all speculation on my part.

Wow... Thank you for that whole new perspective! They haven't mentioned sign of struggle at the school and I think they would declare the school a crime scene if there was. Your theory could check out and would explain many things.

The car thing gets me, I mean it's not easy to camouflage a bright red car espeically in an open paddock. Everyone was looking for it including the helicopter, how could it have been missed!? It looks like it would be somewhat visible from the road and the people who own that property, wouldn't they have noticed it if it was there from Sunday?

Maybe he knew the police were closing in so he took it there thinking they had already searched around there so try wouldn't search again.

It really does sound like he didn't premeditate this because he's just done such a horrible job at covering his tracks!

How unusual ... they even held something up so that MSM could not get any pictures of Stanford as he was transferred into/out of the police station. I am not sure that I have seen that happen before, where police conceal him. I have only seen where perps try to cover their own face as they are led away.

The officer in the video at this link says that they have investigated a 'few areas' of the school .. but were looking at other crime scenes.

I remember reading in a news article that he lied about being at the school. It also said that he was not rostered on to clean on the day that Stephanie was there (nobody would have been, it was Easter Sunday), so it implied that he was there when he shouldn't have been.

A thought: perhaps he spoke to Stephanie when he was there, and said 'just drop the keys off at my house and I'll pass them on to X (whoever she borrowed them from) on the first day of school to save you the trip' ?

But Leeton is a small town and it wouldn't have been much of an effort for Stephanie to hand the keys back.

And it is so infuriating! I don't think VS has admitted a thing to the police, so he certainly wouldn't be telling them where Stephanie is. that he is! He's probably pleading his innocence to all and sundry. The forensics are going to prove otherwise. There is something to be said for capital punishment in cases like this!

Being being a cleaner he would have the equipment to clean any evidence. He had 3 days to hide 1) evidence 2) Stephanie 3) the Mazda 4) wash his clothes

He didn't clean his car because police found blood inside his car and found the keys. (Trophy?)

My thoughts of him being a loner he was 'high' on the thought of being alone with a woman who was polite. I'm betting he was into .

Some thoughts:

* It's interesting that the police contacted homicide and set up a task force almost immediately after she was reported missing. Is this normal or did they know Stephanie personally, being a small town? OR was there something that made them suspect foul play right away? I mean, everyone seemed to think she had an accident (but not police, it seems?)

* A Hilux 2WD is smaller than a 4WD. The 4WDs are bulky, if that helps.

* I too can't bear to look at photos of the fiancé. No one should be put through that sort of pain.

Police are still treating the disappearance as a missing persons case, though details of her case have been forwarded to the NSW Homicide Squad, which is routinely done in such cases.

His employers at Colin Joss & Co cleaning division said Mr Stanford was not supposed to be working but were still trying to clarify whether he had keys to the school.

Three days after Ms Scott vanished, police will allege they found holes in Mr Stanford's alibi and took him into Leeton police station for questioning on Wednesday night.

On Thursday night a team of forensic officers continued to scour Mr Stanford's backyard as the sun set on the small town of 7000.

Dressed in blue suits they packaged up more than a dozen brown paper evidence bags and placed yellow evidence markers near the back door of the house and in a garage.

Really does seem like something occurred in the backyard but how would the neighbours not notice anything? By the sounds of it they chatted often.. It seems unlikely that the neighbours on both sides were out or didn't hear anything at the time. Then taking into account if there is a house across the road or even people out walking/jogging they may have seen her car in the driveway or heard something. What about houses behind? It looks like they live on a decent sized block but you'd still be able to hear screaming or what looked like a struggle...

A school cleaner will be charged with the murder of missing bride-to-be Stephanie Scott after police allegedly found blood in his car and a photograph on a phone of what is believed to be a burnt body.

I think that is probably spot-on. It would be very difficult to have the same face as this alleged murderer, with the anger that most communities are feeling right now about this horrendous act of violence toward yet another woman. Particularly with some of the details we have heard about the photos.

They probably are trying to protect his innocent brother. And it could be that a court may suppress any photos that the media might dig up too.

Yeah, I wondered why the neighbours hadn't heard anything. One of the articles said something about him returning home and washing "piles of clothes".

The below makes me think he was out all Sunday and didn't return until Monday. Being an elderly couple next door they probably notice everything. They heard him come back.

Thanks to those who've posted new links and photos today as well - I know police take all sorts of items as potential evidence, and there sure are a lot of bags and markers visible in those pics of the search of VS's house.
