Yep. Thought it, just can't link it. The answer would be in the tech. On line activity that matched both parties, I imagine.

Not necessarily, if you draw a line between the three locations there's an eerie regularity to the distance between event's.
If a person has a particular 'type' it doesn't mean he initiated contact prior to abduction.
The pattern (?) , which if you accept begins in Sydney has a shocking amount of men who have completely vanished.
Maybe I'm crazy but I see some unusual cconnections that's hard to write off to 'coincidence.

This case was considered in this event, hope there will be some new clues!

A group of cyber sleuths from Adelaide has taken out the national missing persons "hackathon", finding nearly 100 new pieces of information for police to investigate.

Key points:350 cyber experts took part in the National Missing Persons Hackathon last weekThe Adelaide team from Saab Australia found 97 new pieces of informationIt's the first time the event has been held in Australia

The team from Saab Australia placed first out of 96 teams which took part in the National Missing Persons Hackathon last week.

The event was the first of its kind to be held in Australia and saw more than 350 "ethical hackers" gather at 10 locations around the country to generate leads for 12 of Australia's missing-person cold cases.

Has anyone explored the possibility there's a connection between Theo's disappearance and backpackers Hugo Palmer and Erwan Ferrieux the previous Feb?
I know it was vaguely mentioned over the summer months in some articles but it didn't develop.
Does anyone have any updates beyond bones found linked to Erwan Ferrieux? It would NOT be unfair to say there's a high incidence of Caucasian males both European and native registered as missing along NSW from early 2000. Previous to Hugo Palmer and Erwan Ferrieux, a British tourist Aaron Payne disappeared south of Sydney without a trace Oct 2018. A gap of 3/4 months between them all.

it's definitely interesting. another belgian backpacker is missing in australia, too. MOO.

Mystery surrounds missing Belgian backpacker, 22, in Sydney | Daily Mail Online

"A Belgian backpacker who mysteriously vanished while on holidays in Australia has been missing for four days.

Dorian Leonard, 22, was staying at Sydney Central Backpackers in Potts Point but has been missing since Saturday, according to panicked friends. "

This sounds really mysterious....I hope "40 kg" is a typo, that would be very, very skinny, wouldn't it?

On the verge of requiring hospitalisation if he was that weight and height I'd say.
The hair going grey and weight loss sounds very odd to me but it discloses that something else may have been going on beforehand.
The article is more about Theo but I'd like to see more on this missing person.
The links are Belgian and backpacker. The first thing I thought of was whether someone staying there had stayed at Wake Up. I doubt there's a connection due to the background.

Found this article while looking for more on Potts Point backpackers:

Police arrest foreign dealers in inner-Sydney drug sweep

The operation included a focus on the distribution of illegal narcotics within nightclubs and other entertainment venues.

The investigation was capped off last Friday night (15 March) with the arrests of a 28-year-old French national and a 23-year-old Irishman at a backpacker hostel in Potts Point in relation to the supply of MDMA (ecstasy).

Surrey Hills, RedFern, Rose Bay, Kings Cross, Renwick, all these boroughs in North Sydney have young men with similar profiles disappearing without a trace over the last decade. All nationalities, all from within miles of each other.

Randwick?

These are city fringe, and eastern suburbs of Sydney. They are not in North Sydney.

Yes, good news. I'm not Australian so not savvy on coordinates of city. Nonetheless, these areas are pretty much clustered together.

This is a good picture of Théo and a very good one of his cap. I just found it on the "General discussion FB" thread dated October 12th
Sorry if it has already been posted here.

This is the picture of Théo's cap after it was found. It appeared on theage.com.au on October 13th. I remember you dealt ideas about the state of the cap and of the place (leaves,dry....) but I can't find it any more. The colour looks the same as in the post #174 above. Would you think that this cap is the same ?

It is the same IMO but is it his?

Actually it is very hot and windy today in NSW.... I was wearing a cap myself outside, and a few times it almost got blown off. My hands were free so I could keep it on my head. But if I were busy climbing around, no, it would be lost. Just a thought.....

And if you were trekking through 'overgrown' tracks in the dark...it could be bumped off too. Be difficult to find if stumbling through bushland tracks in the dark of night around BB...IMO

I haven’t posted here in a while, but always check in for Theo.

Just want to say I think that is TOTALLY his hat! Look at the worn edge on the bill on both of them. The rest is the same IMO, but the bill seals it for me.

Let me pose a question. What's the chance, if you were trekking, bush walking etc (in daylight I hope), that you found a discarded cap or whatever, that matched one that you own? Eg. You have a red 'NY' cap, and you found an exact match discarded while you're bush walking.

I reckon that's about the chance that a random discarded cap found, matched a particular cap that belongs to a particular someone you know. And you know that someone was in the vicinity not too long ago.

I certainly have not found any such identical discarded item ever. Not even a broken umbrella. But then my umbrellas are usually not a common style :)

@Via Marble. And on top of that I read that Théo's cap (type/model/design) was not sold in Australia.

So what do y’all make of the hat then? Do you think it is his? Do you think he lost it or that it was planted?

Just curious and trying to read between the lines. :)
