Yes, he looks like he's just past where the girls with the pink skirts are in the picture you posted (in the picture I attached, it's the still on the left), and then just inside past the door where the guy with the backpack is. To me it looks like both these stills are from when he arrived at CM. Showing is ID and then walking in.

I agree with you. Do you remember initially when search started, was there not a still or CCTV shown of him actually inside at the desk. I thought I remember him being inside to the right of the desk if facing the desk. I was sure this was about early on but no record of it now?

In the right pic do you think his pants are dirty like the left pic?

I think it is just the lighting IMOO. His pants look tight in one and loose in the other but he is standing differently. When he is shown walking passed that van in the street his pants look clean,

I can't say that I do...sorry. I started looking at/for pictures and videos only quite recently.

I initially thought his jeans looked dirty or torn in one of the pics but on looking closely I think it's something else superimposed over his knee from the movement in the photos.

So, what is in the back part of Cheeky Monkey's? The part on Kingsley Street, through the open entry gates. Does anybody know? Is it just a delivery entrance, is it an informal entry back into the place, is it another way to get to the restrooms, are there chairs back there to sit and have a smoke?

I found this, I think the other image is the reception / entry inside CM where they walk in where you would normally pay an entry fee or leave your jacket etc. It looks like a curved reception desk? Note the timber frame also in that second photo similar. Wasnt there an initial image of him clearly inside CM at the reception desk I thought?

He can't have gone in tbis door because there are no lines on the road outside this door (door closest to Kingsley St.)

I don't think this was the door he went in because this door (door closest to Kingsley St.) has no lines on the road in line with the door. I still don't think that the other photo of him has angled parking. The line looks like straight parking to me.

Have a good look at CM on street view Google maps, you can see where the cameras are and the angle they are facing will get the 1st angle car park in the shot

Behind the guy with white jumper is angle parking, behind TH is right on the corner

The CCTV camera appears to be facing so that it is pointing toward where the first of the angled parking lines are. You can see the camera nestled at the back of the curved entry roof.

The other front CCTV camera is pointing the other way, so that the angled parking lines would be in the other direction from the still shot that Theo is in.

Must be the foreshortening from the camera, hard to work out exactly.

It must be the foreshortening from the camera that's mixing me up.

I just google-walked Kingsley St, and then Tennyson St. Tennyson St comes to a dead end.
But 100m or so before it dead ends it also curves into Marvell Street.

I wonder why police didn't call for dashcam video of Marvell Street?
Marvell Street heads back into town.

Theo may have turned into Kingsley St from Cheeky Monkeys ... but if he then went onto Tennyson St, it leads either to a dead end or to Marvell Street.

“I am appealing for anyone that has information or dashcam footage from Jonson or Tennyson streets around 11pm on Friday 31 May 2019, to come forward,” he said.

My shaky red line shows the other direction on Tennyson St - which leads to Browning St. Again, no dashcam vid of Browning St requested.

There are side streets in between - in either direction - that could have taken Theo back to Jonson Street, though.

I was going to post about Browning St earlier, but then thought that is way off track and in the total opposite direction to the hostel.

But I read a comment from a local business owner on the BB Community Board and he was walking towards town about 11pm, he wanted to know the height of Theo as he thought he may have seen him. But the person he seen wasn't wearing a hat, but he seems to think it was the friend he had seen. Whoever this person was, was said to be quiet drunk, stumbling and about to fall over, also when spoken to didn't reply.

Exactly. They only ask for Tennyson St. Footage. They also asked for Jonson but they might be after Jonson footage immediately after he left CM perhaps to see if anyone followed him from CM or from another street near the corner. They don't ask for any cross streets and they don't ask for Middleton St. They seem to be thinking he went down Tennyson. Tennyson appears to have a sandy track at the very end going into bushland. There is also the oval which could be some sort of shortcut. Although they could be asking for Tennyson footage because they already have footage from the other surrounding streets.

I agree something sounds very off about these circumstances. So the "He sat down, he chatted, he had a dance and that was it" statement doesn't indicate at all that Theo did anything wrong to deserve being asked to leave the venue.
And security asked him to leave. Why? I hope police have questioned those working security that night and followed up about whoever was involved with that to check their movements after the fact of TH having left CM?
It just doesn't make sense IMO.
I have been following, and this is my question as well. Why was he kicked out of CM? All of the reports and articles say he was cooperative, not “overly drunk,” not aggressive, not a big drinker, had only 2 drinks. So what happened? You don’t get asked to leave a bar for drinking. Did he fight with someone? Flirt with a girl and make someone angry? Something happened at CM that we do not know about, and IMO this is key to what happened to him. MOO

I agree. They seem to not be expanding on what happened at CM. Someone angry with him could have followed him from there but that doesn't fit in with his text message after 12. Nothing seems to add up.
