no home address but stated in several MSM reports she lives in Chambers Flat.

[

Muchow Road appears to be the logical route she would walk connecting to a bus headed south, it may also be the way home, I don't believe we have a home address do we?

She was supposedly dropped at the primary school at 8.10AM and lives at Chambers Flat
Is there no drop zone for the high school? or perhaps another younger child/children being dropped off, that would make sense then. Muchow Rd is not a very long street really,

.

It doesn't make sense to me that Tiahleigh would be dropped at the Primary School.....there is still a bit of a walk to the High School and it appears the High School has much easier access. Unless, there was another younger child who attended the Primary was also dropped off? There have been some conflicting reports regarding where Tiahleigh was actually dropped off - this is concerning imo. I wonder if there is cctv cameras at the intersection of the High School?

A candlelight vigil has been held in Queensland overnight, with hundreds gathering in Loganto pay tribute to schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer, whose body was found on the banks of the Pimpama River on Thursday.

The vigil was organised by friends to raise money for Tiahleigh Palmer's funeral, with many lighting candles in tribute. (9NEWS)

The 12-year-old was meant to be at cheerleading practice the day she went missing, with her body found almost one week later.

A taskforce of 50 detectives are searching databases of known child sex offenders as part of their investigation.

I

Scary. I'm glad they're investigating all avenues. I wonder if she asked to be dropped off at the primary school so she could play hooky

I don't think she planned on attending school that day either, but I don't think she had firm plans based on this:

One woman identified herself as the mother of one of Tiahleigh's friends in a post. She wrote of how 'sick' she felt because the 12-year-old had asked to stay at her home on the Friday she went missing.

The woman declined, aware that Tiahleigh was avoiding going home.

'Apparently she caught a random bus and wasn't getting off until she got to the city,' the woman wrote. 'Wish I had have said yes.'

Authorities are also exploring the possibility that “Tia” had made plans to meet someone rather than attend school, with her Facebook account deactivated the day she disappeared.

Hmm...I have to wonder if Tiahleigh's FB had been deactivated on other occasions? If this is not something Tiahleigh has done previously, I have a feeling whoever deactivated her account has something to hide...I'm thinking Tiahlea knew this person....either personally or online.....moo. I think FB accounts can still be retrieved.....not sure? I will check that out.

Yes, they can.

I have some questions, according to this, they are looking for go pro or dash cam footage on Chambers Flat Rd or Muchow Rd, from that morning?
http://mypolice.qld.gov.au/blog/2015/11/08/update-3-suspicious-death-investigation-pimpama/

Why? if she was dropped at or near the school that morning?

I did a Google walk around the area. There appears no cameras on the roundabout. I also noticed a small group of shops including a tattoo parlour near a park just up from the school on Chambers Flat Rd.

My cyber walk at the roundabout was reminiscent of our persuit of justice for Allison.
I hope I'm not starting something off again Makara. ;/

In the Press Conference (@5:30) we are told that Tiah was dropped off on Chambers Flat Rd, a bit further down near the Primary School. It's not that far from another entrance to the High School. From Chambers Flat, where we are told Tiah lived, you would be coming from a Southerly direction. If the person driving had to continue on Chambers Flat Road to wherever they were going, it would probably be more convenient to drop her there so you could continue on. See Pic.

[The] uniform is described as a white short-sleeve shirt with maroon and blue pinstripes and a blue knee-length skirt.

The Schools dress code advises that the Skirt is actually Grey, I hope this will soon be corrected by the Police.

Skirt: Charcoal grey poly/viscose fabric.

I hope Tiahleigh didn't get so desperate to get to where ever it was she was heading (or get away from her home) that she accepted a lift from the wrong stranger. I can't think of a way she could have died accidentally and ended up in the river and at her age it also doesn't seem likely that she would have taken her own life.

With respect Catswhisker, suicide can strike at tender young ages. With her difficult life, asking for somewhere to sleep, and the closing of her facebook account, combined, could be seen as someone about to take their own life. Running away from herself. However unless she was found with clothes on, I can't see how the suicide theory would work. Wonder if it really was TP who deleted her facebook account. Guess police will follow that up. All so tragic.

From the article linked immediately above:

Her naked body was found by fishermen on a remote stretch of riverbank on the Gold Coast, about 30 kilometres away, six days later.

This sounds very much like a crime of opportunity. Poor Tiah. Her poor mom and carers.

The news about her facebook account being deactivated on the day Tiahleigh went missing is interesting. I'm wondering if she was lured by an online predator? Of course it's just as likely to have been some opportunistic stranger or acquaintance too - I hope there are plenty of electronic clues for police to follow either way. Just because her account was deactivated doesn't mean that police can't access her page and interactions in the lead up to whatever happened.

Why was Tiahleigh allowed to have a Facebook account at the age of 12? It is illegal. Did someone else set up the Facebook account for her? Did that someone else also close down the Facebook account prior to her disappearance? And if so, why?

Facebook Restrictions.

A lot of kids do this, all they do is nominate a different year for their date of birth. My youngest friend on Facebook (that I know of) is 9, and the son of a good friend. Personally I think there are better places online for kids to hang out, but it's fairly common.

I just checked his FB, he's nominated his year of birth as 1969!!

I'm only going on what I know of family members, friends etc. They all refuse to allow their kids to have a Facebook account ultimately for the safety of the kids.
