Thats the thing, RT as far as we know hasn't spoken! That I am assuming is what is coming from JT and JT . There is still plenty of spin room imo

Not too much spin I hope

I have heard reports both that TT is likely to only get timeserved but also reports that his charges are quite serious and can carry quite a long sentence. I'm wondering which is more likely

TT lawyer represented on this dreadful case as well http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/...s/news-story/fcab22b8a3229844564387b38ea6db16

GBC got life which was a total of 15 years and could be out earlier with parole. Not sure what the charges TT penalty carries. What they say and what they do are a different thing all together. I will be attending court hearings when I can. I will be seeing my friend this weekend who is a lawyer and will ask her what she thinks.

I remember reading somewhere that the incest charge carries the higher penalty.

courts generally take a dim view of incest.. there is a poster here who keeps trivialising it, under the impression that Trent himself was 17, but this isn't true, if his message to the cousin is to be believed, he was 18, and she is his foster sister , aged 12... Consent isn't an issue, she cant give consent, and he cant assume he has it, no matter what..... I think he will spend a bit of time behind bars on that charge.

But I don't think that was his only involvement.. I think there are more charges to come for Trent., of a serious nature, and also, of an aggravated nature.. ... sooooooo

She was just a kid. A kid who needed a safe place to live. A safe place is not a place a child gets murdered. A safe place is not a place a child is raped. I'm rarely as affected about these stories as I am about this one.

no. Baden Clay got life, with a minimum of 15 years before he can apply for parole, which may take him some years to obtain.. One of the strict criteria for parole is remorse.. Gerard is no where near admitting his crime, to himself or anyone else, he hasn't a prayer of getting out earlier, and he has a lot of work to do to get parole after 15 years, a hell of a lot of work..

I think that Trent's sentence for incest will reflect community expectations for the plight of foster children.. a light sentence would be a dreadful message for all those fosterbrothers and sisters out there, an open invitation, even, and it would underline the disregard of foster children in general , which surely , the state of Qld does not wish to happen.. ...

Julene would have lawyered up on the advice of the police... it is a real handicap for the police to deal with people who have not had, and particularly, had and not taken , legal advice.. it is to no one's advantage in the end..

paying those bills, though.... .. their financial situation will have to be tabled to the court, and I am positive that the ATO will be casting an interested eye over Rick's 'books'..... something is dodgy in the money area of their life.. ...

I am eagerly awaiting the time when ghost boy, Josh , enters stage left ... .. I expect him to plead guilty, but people in this situation often surprise.. .

Careful Troop you're maligning the dead

That's what I am hoping as well! Any previous case's like this? Any precedents set ?

You know, this makes me soooooo angry. I had a go at my dad over the weekend. This is not CPs fault. If Tiah had been in care in any other house she would be alive today.

During the argument with my Dad i reminded him of some very harsh childhood disciplines he carried on my brothers and I. Stuff that would not be ok in todays parenting world. Its so easy to get on your high horse and cast judgement on others
