Emergency services have swooped on a street in Sydney’s south where a woman has reportedly been beaten to death with a cricket bat and her son bashed unconscious following a domestic argument.

It’s believed the pair were attacked by a man, believed to be the woman’s ex-husband, who remains at large.

The body of a 51-year-old woman, reportedly local woman Tina Kontozis, was found by police officers at 3:30pm at her Bundeena home. Police said a 17-year-old, believed to be her son, was treated for arm injuries and taken to St George Hospital.

Officers have set up a search team at nearby Maianbar and entered the national park searching for a 51-year-old man, who police confirmed is the partner of the deceased woman.

It is believed the man left the premises in a silver-coloured Holden Commodore sedan with NSW registration plates BZ 53 ZO, police said.

POLICE have arrested Stephen Boyd after a manhunt intensified on Monday following the death of his partner Tina Kontozis.

Police confirm a 51-year-old man was arrested just before 5pm on Wallace Street in Braidwood, following a pursuit with police.
