There are concerns for a missing Essendon couple who haven’t been seen since going on a hike at Mount Buffalo on Friday.
State Emergency Service personnel and police have this morning launched a search for Trevor Salvado, 60, and Jacinda Bohan, 58, who were last seen by friends at a Cherry Lane caravan park in Bright on Friday.
The couple left the caravan park to travel to Mount Buffalo at about 9:30am on Friday and were expected to return from their bushwalk at Reservoir Track about 12.30pm the same day, but haven’t been seen since.
Their Skoda Yeti, registered 1AN 6RT, which they were travelling in was found near Reservoir Track on Mount Buffalo yesterday, but the couple couldn’t be located.
Family has described the couple’s disappearance as out of character and hold concerns for their welfare.
Police have released images of the pair in hope that someone might recognise them.
Trevor is described as approximately 183cm tall with a medium build, short grey hair, blue eyes, grey moustache and fair complexion.
Jacinda is described as approximately 170cm tall with a thin build, light brown/blonde short hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion.
Anyone with information is urged to phone Wangaratta Police Station on (03) 5723 0848.
