Was this court date kept secret? How did we miss this? OMG I regret not seeing his shocked face!

Question? He's in gaol until October, the next is in March? Will these sentences overlap & take us up to his murder trial?
So am I thinking he won't see daylight for quite some time?

Ahh this will be interesting to see if those sock puppets continue. I recon the cops already know that answer.

Well that bit of news means we have lost half our posters. It will be quiet around here now and we can get on with things in a civilised fashion!

"The carpet layer, who had been out on bail for Ms Wright's alleged murder, will spend his 29th birthday behind bars, and possibly in a protection wing to prevent his potentially being assaulted by fellow inmates.

Tostee - who turns 29 in just 11 days - pleaded guilt in Tweed Heads court to speeding and being involved in a police pursuit which the court heard reached speeds of almost 200km/h and ended with sparks flying from Tostee’s tyre rims after officers deployed road spikes."

BBM: So he could be hanging with the rock spiders then. That should be fun. :nerves:

Ali, do you know if his parents will get their bail money back?

"That incident involved me driving my father's vehicle (which at the time held two adult male passengers), whilst intoxicated, whilst driving at excessive speeds on the highway at Tweed Heads, without number plates on my vehicle, in a police pursuit," Tostee wrote in an affidavit filed to the Queensland Supreme Court last year.

Hi Poss. His parents may not have actually paid over any money into court, just provided an undertaking to pay the $200,000 (from memory) if he does not turn up to court when required. I recall a media comment that they put up the family home as security. This may just be by way of proof to the court that they have adequate equity in their home to cover the amount they have undertaken to pay. Particularly if there is no money actually been paid into court, then I think they would not bother to request a change of bail conditions as they would only have to reinstate it again when he is out in 6 mths. All of these processes cost money for not much to gain I think by them.

So he was sentenced for the high speed police pursuit by NSW police.
But the high range drink driving is in Queensland.

Same event. Oh I mean situation.

Wonder in what state the previous 4 drink driving offences were and the other police pursuit?
Could it be possible he gets a sentence in Queensland right on the back of NSW?
Can that even happen or will the case be adjourned until his release in august?

Driving on rims with two passengers while 4 times over the limit. Sheesh lucky there were no deaths.

NSW has Sky's law for this exact scenario. I hope the book is thrown at him.

Who removed the plates from daddy's car?

Ha ha Snoods why don't you say what you really think;)

Seriously he looks like a very different Tostee since his 'situation'. He has put on weight, and looks more dorky than ever. His weight will increase in jail, unless he does something about it.
He doesn't look like his online personality might suggest, but he is wearing his court clothes so has toned it down deliberately.
If the car chase crossed borders, they are different jurisdictions so the Qld one is pending as far as I know.
He presented psychology reports that told us nothing new, but I'm so looking forward to some background in depth assessments.
Can't be good being locked up with swarms of bigger and scarier evil dudes, the arrogance might take a hit. On the other hand, he might meet up with somebody to adore him as much as he does.
He reminds me of Joran van der Sloot (lol the name) his parents were extremely protective and in total denial.
Hard to imagine getting narcissistic supply needs met in pokey.
