Elderly.. Maybe hearing loss?

Moo

This could be true.

Also, the grandma was/is reportedly ill. She may be taking meds that leave her senses not as acute as usual. Or she may have had a massive head cold that impaired her hearing and other senses.

Here is the pic that bearbear linked.

And here is a screen shot taken from the first video that I can find following William's disappearance.

Some things are the same ... slippers, play stroller ... though that may not mean a heck of a lot. Play stroller could be a regular toy at grandma's house. Slippers can last quite a while.

That could be grandmothers legs & slippers there near William in the first pic then in the second pic the slippers have been taken off. That photo of little William IMO looks like a back door. A front door hasn't usually got a small laundry type window. Just my thought.

Dressed in his red and blue Spider-man costume, three-year-old William was last seen on Friday morning, September 12, running around the manicured lawns of the his grandma's home, playing with his younger sister.

William's grandmother was sitting at the rear of the house.

His mother was inside making a cup of tea.

And then the little boy, who was running red and blue streaks against a backdrop of dull green bush, disappeared.

BBM Who mows these manicured lawns???

Funny you should mention that, newone. From day one, I've had David Paulides' Missing 411 books at the back of my mind! This case fits his cases very closely. So sad. Fingers crossed there is a breakthrough soon :-(

Incidentally, hi to everyone. I haven't been able to dedicate time to WS for so long!

I have listened to his interviews and I am not sure I even want to go camping ever again! Along the ''wild'' conjectures....((ducking for the tomatoes being tossed my way)) I have been trying to find out online if there were reports of ''feral'' dogs in that area do I dare utter that word.....dingoes? Are they that stealthy that poor wee William could have been lured away by ''doggies'' or worse, been tugged or dragged by a few of them??

yes, it looks like a back porch area, maybe this faces the back garden, i wish we could get a date stamp for this photo or hear from neighbours who saw william there that day. if it was an abduction, he must have known the person for it to be so soundless. i wonder what the police gut feelings are.

The back of the house appears to face north so the morning sun would be caught at the back of the house. On a cool morning I imagine an recovering patient would prefer to sit in the sunshine rather in cold shadow so I'm thinking they were on the back patio????
Anyone got better bearings with this??

Wonder if there's a chance he could have gone as far as the main road, been hit by a car, and removed from the scene?

RSBM Maybe that's why police are looking for car parts or a car with missing parts. Say a front damaged bumper.

If that is the case...GM in back yard with the children in the backyard and granddaughter goes in the house, GM is still outside how is it that grandson would not be noticed? unless he went to the front yard and then someone across the street may have seen something?? ((assuming there is a neighbor across the cul de sac))

I think the house is on somewhat of an angle on the block, but this 'porch' with slippers etc is at the FRONT of the house. There is a balcony at the BACK of the house, but it is much higher up. The front of the house faces the bush, the back of the house is where the ground drops off, ultimately towards the previously mentioned ditch, hence making the balcony much higher up than front porch.
Somewhere earlier in the thread (maybe one or two pages back) I saw a photo of the house taken from an angle, which shows the back balcony and how high it is.

perhaps trim from ''lens assembly'' of headlight ?? those coloured plastic lens covers break easily! or tail-light cover?

Is GMA house No. 52? If it is, then those photos didn't NOT come that house as the front verandah is tiled etc etc.....
Instant google street view shows a side driveway as well leading to a large area UNDER the house via a roller door. I hope I've got the right house!

Beautifully mowed lawns for a recovering patient. A law mowing mob usually has a ute with box trailer and I'd say a sit down mower for that large property. Were they there that morning making a racket?

If the grandmother is an elderly, unwell lady who has lived in the town for some time I'd say that it's highly likely that a neighbour would just mow her lawn for her. Or another friend in the town. That's just want country people ( and some city people for that matter) do.

The grandmother may not be very old, the mum looks very young to me, many people become grandparents in their 40's

Moo

I note that Mum was only 26yo - GM need not be too old.

Edit:- Just relooked at the slippers - and are not the kind a younger GM would choose?

His WWGY :seeya: I agree but they have approx 1 acre and with all those trees dropping branches is a difficult job to maintain.
Any neighbour with all the proper equipment would have to charge accordingly.

Surely someone wasn't backing down the side driveway and ran little William over??

Surely if it's a car accident scenario there would be evidence found by now.

Again, we must put faith in the Police dogs?
