Disgusting? well, no, the crime under discussion was about a child using drugs in the parents home and it would be completely different if it was a child being abused, for me anyway, no question. I don't believe anyone knows just what they might do until the situation presents itself.
However, it seems there is more to this families situation and capacity, coupled with age/ generation. Prior to the 80's (and still now in some families) it was kept hidden, they didn't have the same situation that we have today, access to information, freedom to report it and the treatment available.
So many people convinced that BS is guilty as charged and only some see that Hillsley could well be the culprit, me, I have no idea but there is reasonable doubt.

Disgusting. If anyone I knew, relative or not, was a threat to themselves or others I'd be calling someone faster than I could blink.

So let me get this straight. Uncle rapes three year old, mum doesn't notice injuries for months? Or mum does see injuries but decides "hey I might leave her a couple of months and then I'll blame BS for it" ??? She was 3 most of them still need assistance with the toilet so the mum would have noticed bruising straight away especially if that bruising was bad enough it could be seen months later. Don't forget the vomiting which is more of a shock response to something that has just happened.

Exactly. A three year old does not bathe alone, and quite often will need assistance wiping on the toilet. No way could that go unnoticed for months.

A six year old might hide it, but even then it's unlikely a parent has seen them naked for months. At six my dd didn't even shut her bedroom door while dressing unless we had a visitor.

Several things resonate with me about this case.
The fact that BS was named (the only one) as a POI from early on.
The constant mention of paedophile rings by the LE (this is particularly significant now with the info re JH).
Jubelin (who I do not believe would give a throwaway line to the MSM) saying re WT that 'two worlds collided'.
I dont think any of those 3 things can be ignored.

As far as WT is concerned, perhaps the answers to that will come after the trial for the historic charges runs its course.
Not that I want to get bogged down with how MS and BS met, I would suggest that more than likely they met whilst he was still married and no doubt this could have a lot to do with the acrimonious dispute...pretty common scenario.

I know I'm being difficult but it doesn't describe the state of the injuries, age of them etc, I am hoping in the trial, that some expert will be able to supply that information. Can you point me to anymore articles with more detail on this topic? I understand the mother 1st took her child to the doctor for the body pain and then the doctor had her children seen at the sexual assault unit at Westmead, where other agencies became involved.

So bs could have had nothing to do with the 87 abuse but it's just a huge coincidence that he happens to be around the house of a child who was abducted?

Yeah ok, I have a nice beachfront property with views of Uluru to sell you if you are buying the locked up pedo raped those kids and Spedding was blamed by vengeful harpies. Poor , who was expected at the home where the 3 year old who is visiting disappears into thin air in a seemingly statistically rare crime, is also framed for rapes of small children months after the fact. In regard to the injuries, a few articles mentioned that the mom saw a "gaping hole" (it truly pained me to type that)...I highly doubt she waited months before she took her daughter to the hospital!

Those are the types of details we won't know until the trial. Prosecution isn't going to present their entire case during a bail hearing. They should be fired from their job if they do. I have full faith in them and know that right now we have only seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Bill Spedding and his crimes (alleged) against children.

Yes, you'd think the defence would be downplaying any known connections to convicted child rapists ... but perhaps they know the prosecution will be bringing it to light, so they have decided to do what they can with it even though the time lines don't match up right. I just can't fathom people finding this is in any way a compelling argument in real life, it is fiction for legal purposes.
