Might have gone to get bread and they had none. I just did that, so annoying.

There's nothing in his hands unless the others are inside buying the goods.

MS purchased the coffee on that fateful day so she has access to the card.

Oh well I just find it odd, maybe my family is different but under those circumstances they would certainly understand I would want to go straight to the protection of home.

Yes, there's something that doesn't feel quite right about it.

He seems to be flaunting his bail by moving freely in public where there could be children. After all, he is only on bail; he still has the charges against him.

Really, how do you know that? I didn't think anyone had said that MS used the card, nor that BS was not there. Do you have a link to that or tell me where I can find it please. I have a card and my partner has one, for the same account but each has it's own identification number and pin.

Yes Karo I worded it wrongly as I was assuming WS may have been around Kendall at the time.

His close friend Colin said he tried to return a call from the grandmother on September 12 but couldn't get hold of her.

He then went to the Buzz Cafe for a coffee with his wife in Laurieton before he went to an awards ceremony for his grandson at a primary school across the road, Colin said.

Cafe staff say detectives have visited the eatery twice in the past few days as they attempt to verify Mr Spedding's movements.

Colin said he had downloaded a copy of Mr Spedding's bank card statement which showed a purchase at the cafe about 10am on September 12.

good point --- am guessing he would have high tailed it out of there in a hurry --

And as established in an earlier thread, bankcard statements don't show the time of transactions. So poor old Colin is confused.

Depends.
Imagine if I knew that one person thought I had stolen their car, and another knew I hadn't.
Imagine if police are questioning me about an unrelated robbery at a local store.
Imagine if person 1 tells me 'ah, you've struck again, now person b and I are going to tell the police you stole our car'
I would probably approach person b. 'Hey, we've talked about this before, I know that you know I didn't do it. I feel confident I have your support. Can you please give me a declaration that I never did this, because I know it's about to come up again'

I think it's human nature to try to garner support from thepeiple you think will back you. But it seems he got it wrong.

In a sense it is more reason to think he's innocent.. Like he went there thinking 'I know I've done nothing wrong, back me up'.

Your scenario got me to thinking Pink-flamingo.
But in regard to Williams disappearance.
Imagine if you had been at the house 4 days before a 3 year old boy vanished.
Imagine if you were also expected to be at that house on the day and about the time the child disappeared.
Imagine if you claimed you did not know about the boys disappearance until watching the television later in the evening.
Imagine if you said to a person present "I think I have been to that house".
Imagine if you would need to explain your whereabouts.

Would it be human nature to garner support from the people you think will back you?
IMO

I would be scared shitless that there could have been someone younger or a young assistant in there and I would've ran out without buying anything too or ALTERNATIVELY I would have sent one of the other two people in the bloody car.

At the risk of being shot down again by some for sluething this photo, right now I don't give a rat's about this ALLEDGED (S)peddo.

I am sorry but that is incorrect.
My bank statement shows the time and date I used the card to make an EFTPOS transaction.

Completely agree. Personal opinion obviously but I know I'd be sending my mate Colin in to pick up the milk, especially that soon after being released

If the police started questioning you and said "we know what you did to those girls in 87. We know you have taken this little boy. You are a filthy paedophile and we are going to get you for this", I think an unsophisticated person who has never been in trouble with the law and is not savvy enough to lawyer up, would be trying to get support from anyone he could.

I doubt his bail conditions would be that he couldn't be around children full stop. This would be impossible and a court would rule it an invalid Clause. The conditions would be along the lines of not being within a certain distance from a school or similar institution, and not having children in his house.

But we do not know that is what happened.

Bill Spedding said “We understand the investigation, we accept the investigation. I understand I was a person of interest because a few days before I was out there, a few days after his disappearance I was out there. I understand they are looking into that and I *accept that fully.”

And he was expected to be there on the day.

Daniel Morcombe's father fears for William Tyrrell: 'It is looking very grim'

The father of murdered Queensland teenager Daniel Morcombe fears William Tyrrell, who would be four on Friday, won't be found alive.

Speaking ahead of the poignant date Bruce Morcombe, father of 13-year-old Daniel, who was abducted and murdered on the Sunshine Coast in 2003, said family members would be at different stages of acceptance of William's fate and that special dates such as birthdays would be "incredibly upsetting".

Mr Morcombe said some in the family would be still hoping William is alive, some might be thinking that, with every day passing, that is less likely and some would believe that the search was now for William's remains.

(Mr Morcombe said).
From his experience there would be mountains of information coming in from the community including timelines of where people were at the time and vehicles of interest.

"An important role is capturing data from CCTV at local service stations and ATMs, which may be incredibly useful when the noose is drawn more tightly around a person of interest; it can perhaps break an alibi," Mr Morcombe said. "If they can prove a vehicle was at a particular place, that sort of information can solve a case."

In a message to the Tyrrell family, he added: "Remain positive, that's all you can do. The police will be working hard; they want to solve it as well. They, I am sure, go to work not filling in the hours; they go to work to find the answers."

Considering that there is a Woolworths and a few small shops in the small estate Colin lives in, whatever bs needed could have been picked up there by anyone if bs presence instead of speddings doing it when he probably knew media were following him

Would it matter where he went to shop etc ? I think everything he does will be watched and filmed. Myself, I would do whatever I wanted and just ignore the media, he has to go about his daily life.
