Do we find out tomorrow if he will be granted bail?

  • #102
So why would they change it to Campbellton? I know that is where the crimes were committed but why change it now? More charges coming?

Surely any charges relating to the historical offences would have been laid by now?
I think your right and its because that's where the offence occurred.
The next month is going to take forever.......

Yeah Karo

What does everyone think his chance of getting bail is like now? Do you think the new information changes anything?

Wondering who asked for it to be delayed? Maybe BS's lawyer got definite proof that his brother in law was in jail at the time of the abuse and needed time to come up with a new plan?

He wont get bail...he will sit in jail until this hearing takes place, for fear of him intimidating any people

IMO

or.....((sounds awful I know)) to obtain expert opinion on ''age of physical'' wounds of the victims per hospital records if Defence team feels there is possibility of proving 'doubt'....

I agree -- don't think it is in anyone's best interest at this point. I doubt community would be treating him well at this point if he was out on bail. JMO

I personally don't think he will either, I think he and ms ruined any chance of that when they contacted the alleged victims.

  • #111
I don't think so either despite there being another possible suspect as I firmly believe the police are still thinking he is involved in WT's disappearance.

Does anyone else find it disturbing that we can't get an accurate time frame on when these offences occurred? Some say March 1- April 30, some say a weekend between March and April and some say it happened April/May. This is a really important fact to establish in this case. Going over the police fact sheet tendered to the
Port Macquarie local court in April 23 2015, I think the police is not inaccurate but it is misleading. I think they know people will draw colourful conclusions about what has occurred from the words they use.

Since many others have shown which way they are leaning in this case I will put my 2 cents worth in. At this stage of the case, I don't think the only motives for the detectives is to right an historical injustice. I believe they thought they were onto a good lead with BS to begin with. The WT case is one of those once in a decade cases, the locals are in fear, it is high profile and the public want answers as to how this little boy vanished. I think they have stumbled across the perfect smoke and mirrors sideshow to distract the public from looking so empty handed at this point. I do believe they are pursuing lots of leads behind the scenes, I think they know that there are holes in the prosecutions evidence in the BS case and I think they are willing to let that take the time it needs to play out in the public forum, to save face.

Just because the defence lawyer stated that JH lived with the victims, does this make it fact? Clearly he would be getting this information from BS.

Whatever the date, if they were there when JH was there, WHY were they there? Who would knowingly do that? And I think we can be pretty sure that everyone knew what JH was by this stage?? That part bothers me and also makes me wonder why use this for defence? Is that all you got??

Sounds like all the victims family and grandparents were living under the one roof at the time? Reasons, I dunno, family? denial? parole? belief in reform?

Could this situation have been the cause of the "acrimonious dispute"? Could the in laws have been offended at BS stance on the brother in law staying there at the time?

so, 28 years ago in 1987 bs was 35, i wonder if this was his first offence, otherwise if he had past known history why were the girls allowed to be alone with him in the caravan, some reports state he was sharing a bed with them?
was the caravan at the girls mothers place or were they allowed to go with him to his friends house and sleep there?
they have a known paedo rapist uncle lurking around, and probably hanging out with bs, who the children had also been warned about?
seriously!!?
