In saying the above, it's tragic for any child.

I have to say the same..the fact they are saying definitely a child (not 'baby' or 'infant') to me puts it in a fairly specific age range. And the location?? Would the POI have had reason to visit South Aus? Possibly.

I pray this isn't little WT

As do I, but that means praying it's someone else's child. There is no happiness from this discovery. :(

wondering why the gender of this little dead child isnt being released, surely they could tell from the pelvis straight away?
i guess if it was broken it would be harder to tell the shape of the bones

is that a factor in a prepubescent child? are pelvises shaped differently in a child 2-7 years?

(just confirming - my own male and female children have been different shaped in stereotypically M/F ways since babyhood, but confirmation from a medically educated type would be good)

I would love to be a fly on B.S's wall right now......

For the little it's worth . . . I remember my high school biology teacher said there was only a slight difference between male and female skeletal pelvises. We were talking about adults.

Sentence news reports that gender should be known this afternoon. I believe a female coccyx bone is longer and more exposed than a males.

I would guess that people reported seeing the man AND they have fingerprint evidence as well.
