Thanks, I've searched all over but I can't find anything. I was wondering if that information was available earlier on in previous threads when others were reviewing this topic.

It was certainly covered early on ....you may not find it because it was removed by mods.
House was sold privately .....contracts exchanged etc before we went missing. Settlement was delayed for obvious reasons

I'm sorry I'm 99% out of downloads till tomorrow - so unable to add links... and some stuff - I'm just going by memory or notes, so if anyone can verify what I am about to post that would be fantastic.

In the 60 minute interview did I hear them say a 4 wheel drive was seen exiting Bennaroon drive at approximately the same time William went missing .... and in the same sentence during the interview was it mentioned the same car was seen @ speed shortly after in the Kendall area ?

It was also mentioned how excited they became at one stage recently when they had information and received a photo of a man
(In Queensland) that highly resembled someone they had been looking into (Constituting another POI) with a young child resembling William - so much so they set up an operation - disappointment followed when the boy turned out not to be William.

Co-incidence ???

During the same week of the police three day bush search there was a report of an attempted abduction of a nine year old boy.
The location of this attempted abduction was @ the intersection of Earnest Street and Ocean Drive in Lake Cathie. (Google Earth)..

Lake Cathie sits along the very same conservation area where the detectives were carrying out their search.

From my notes the man approached the boy trying to entice him to get into his car. The car was believed to be a newer white Toyota 4 wheel drive (Possibly a Hilux) It had a canopy. It had blue and white zig-zag sticker (not sure of location) and numbers written over the front wheel arch.... It also possibly had Queensland registration plates as they were decorated with Palm Trees.

@ the time police said they didn't believe there was a connection to Williams case.

Coincidence or is the new information below worthy to be reconsidered now with Hindsight .....

We have only just now become aware of these other vehicles ... The 4 wheel drive has me intrigued.
We have only just now become aware that they have been looking @ a man from Queensland.

Timing of this attempted abduction so close to the search area and in the very same week - Coincidence again or an attempt to
create another scenario that BS isn't involved and throw the investigation of track ???

Anyway just thought I'd throw it out there for consideration.

Good post Puggle. I think the trend has always been that when police immediately say something isn't linked, a few months later something will be released that shows it is linked

All very good questions Puggle.

Here is a link to the Lake Cathie attempted abduction. As you say, numbers and a blue zig zag. Almost makes me think of a rangers vehicle: http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/boy-approached-by-mystery-man-at-lake-cathie-20150305-13wq38.html

Bumping off of your post regarding the windows. [emoji1]

Here are the recorded temps from that day in Sydney, assuming Kendall wouldn't be much difference. Kind of on the cooler side in the morning for windows to be left down. But that may just be me, I'm always cold ;)

9am 14.7°C 58.46°F
3pm 16.9°C. 62.42°F

Temp hovered around 18.6-18.8 C at Port Macquarie that day. Humidity was only 68% in the morning, so a nice day (on the coast). Another post asked how the mother could see that the windows were down from that distance. I think the reflection of the sun would have been easy to see on the rear windows (angle of sun in NE of sky bouncing to house in NW), so probably easy to see that there was no reflection from the front windows, hence they were down.

Does anyone happen to have a still of the photo of William in the bike helmet from 60 minutes?

  • #688
The cars maybe nothing, but no one has come forward.

Not friends, family or anyone regarding the cars in the media.

Surely being a nine year old they have a description of this guy from the attempted abduction in Lake Cathie? The 4wd link here could be key.

Anyone who has suggest the cars are a red herring I feel are wrong because the police want every ones minds on the facts and I still feel they need the publics assistance.

Good to see this is back in the media and getting some traction.

Bring WT home.

I also find the lack of names on the sales info on rpdata of the house across the road weird...no full names of seller or buyer.

They said the description of the guy who attempted that abduction was tall with grey goatee, early to mid 40s

I'd love to know the description of the guy they were watching in Queensland who they thought had william

I don't know how people could keep a child captive. Apart from the obvious dungeon concept, you could find it hard to keep a child hidden. Its just heart breaking at the thought. The other is the inevitable murder as the child becomes uncontrollable with a much more willing communicating mind.

Where is a place William could be held out of the eye of the public? It would have to be regional property, if it was longer term. Places like Kendell?

Or overseas?

Something else I'm thinking about. When they brought the dogs in and the dogs could only track the scent to the end of the driveway, didn't the 60 minutes report seem to indicate he wandered down the grassy hill? That would have been at least 30, 40 metres from the driveway wouldn't it or am I being pedantic?

No they said they felt that he heard a car, thought it was his dad so went to the driveway.
Jubelin said it would be too brazen to have occurred down that hill due to the rear of the house facing down that way.

I also find the lack of names on the sales info on rpdata of the house across the road weird...no full names of seller or buyer.

And if you do happen to find them, don't post them here. The vendors and purchasers of that house have not been mentioned as persons of interest and they are off limits here.

No Jubelin didn't say that at all. In fact he feels that is exactly what happened, that William went down the hill towards the road. The grandmother's house has two driveways. The one near the front door and the other into the garage under the house, near where William's mother said he was playing.
