oh very much agree......the Kevin Bacon Theory is alive and well here

Me too. Just trying to work out the purpose of something I've seen before deciding to contact Crimestoppers (but I'm sure they're already on to it).

Don't be so sure they're onto it. If you've found something that may be of interest call it in. If you can't post a link to it or can't mention it due to Websleuth's TOS, don't allude to it any further.

If you get it worked out, then maybe you should contact them. It may solidify what the police are thinking.

Contact Crimestoppers! If it's nothing, they'll disregard it like they do the many other leads they get that go nowhere. Yours won't be the first, IYKWIM. If they're already onto it because it is something - then great minds think alike! ;) But if it's something new to them... you might really help the case.

o but i was trying to understand and look at it from all angles and a theory i came up with was if they did release it earlier would that have set off the disgusting germ to sell/destroy/throughly clean out the car????? they have taken the car in now after disgusting germ has been jailed... he would have obviously heard and this could create enormous pressure on him to crack.

I haven't been following this case closely as of late although I think I read in the Daily Telegraph article yesterday that he had already been in custody/jail for 12 months while awaiting trial?

There is also a small article hidden a few pages inside todays Daily Telegraph which I found interesting to this case. I'll see if I can find an online link to it.

I can't find the tele article although https://www.police.nsw.gov.au/news/...vdi5hdSUyRm1lZGlhJTJGNDg4NjEuaHRtbCZhbGw9MQ== is the police media release.

It made me wonder whether this was perhaps a result/uncovered as part of the broader investigation into this case (even though it says the case started in 2013).

it does feel like the search for William has maybe helped uncover a lot of crimes that were otherwise hidden.

Needed more evidence of a link to get a search warrant? Maybe it wasn't even legally his car, but one he had access to, like a family member's.

Maybe they need to place it at the scene??? If someone says they saw the station wagon they have more reason to search it??

If someone took William, it is unlikely to have been their first offence, says Dr Michael Diamond, a forensic psychiatrist and criminal profiler. “You don’t just do this sort of crime for the first time,” he says. “You would have to overcome other experiential things that confront you if you are going to do something of that magnitude. Is it somebody who has access to a child, and thought about it and not done it because their contact is too obvious, and so it has been a rehearsed and lived-in fantasy without the terrible outcome?” Diamond asks.

The abduction of little Spiderman will be not the first offence of a child abuser, yes. I don't want to know how many children have been abused by those old men (about 53yo-69yo) over the past 30 years! They are charged/sentenced only on 2-3 criminal acts but there are many many more, I think. Police are going to dismantle a wide ring of pedophiles and while they are doing this, I'm sure there will be more victims also who dare to come forward - hopefully.

That would be underneath the headline that reads 'Little William found safe and well'. I'm still holding out for that one

I'm hoping with you but I'm afraid he can't be found WELL, impossible. Can be found maximal alive, that poor little child.

Bickford pleaded guilty to indecently assaulting an 11-year-old girl who suffers from Asperger’s syndrome during a drive to the shops to buy her lollies.

“He’s a bloody fool (for pleading guilty),” his wife Sandra said.

“He didn’t want to go to jail … he’s innocent.

Seemingly all the old men charged have wifes. If the wifes are thinking like Ms B, then there is little hope for the future, IMO.

I am left wondering what makes these men of that particular age group and seemingly that area, Wellington, Dubbo etc, into pedophiles, is it possible there was a group active 50 years ago in that area?
Perhaps they have a similar background, school, club etc where they were also victims of abuse.
Not an excuse, just trying to understand the dynamics and the connections.

PB has been quite high-profile in his role, an advocate for grandparents and a pillar of the community ...

http://www.portnews.com.au/story/1012991/paul-bickfords-our-no1-senior-volunteer/

The following includes an interview with him, as president of GAPA, on Life Matters (his segment starts just before 38:00)

I feel sad for the very many people whose trust he has betrayed.

Betraying trust seems to be the area these types excel in.

I bet you're right. My other half frequently deals with these vermin as part of his work. As I shake my head in dismay and confusion his frequent remark is just that. Very likely it was done to them. :(

Could you please tell us this story's headline, FromGermany?

From what I've been reading, Dr Michael Diamond (and you) are absolutely correct. They are almost a species in themselves. I have tried over the years to understand how their minds work. Two reasons I have failed, one; I can't, and two; I won't, get inside their reptilian brains (it's scary just skimming the surface).

Two NCMEC publications for further reading:

'Child Molesters: A Behavioral Analysis'

Also, look up 'Child Molesters Who Abduct' on Google. It will give you a link to a .pdf file to download.
