I dont know why this story keeps on getting re-hashed...perhaps the way the website works? If you look at the date of the actual article it is March 2015. I have seen this article popping up again recently on a couple of forums and FB pages recently as it gives the impression it is new.

Collecting scrap metal does give you an excuse to be foraging around people's property and in and out of houses/sheds/garages and businesses. You often see signs saying people will collect old washing machines etc for scrap (not at the moment as scrap metal is not worth much). It would be very handy to be in this business and work in with a washing machine repair man I would think. Once again I wonder what Mr Nichols does or did as a job?

BS and MS media interview back in January 2015 but he (they) would not go into the specifics of where he was that day or any of the timeline of where he was at the exact time William disappeared.
Across town Col informed the media he (they) had gone for coffee and popped over to the school presentation and headed of to Dunbogan for a 2:00pm repair, after some initial confusion (am/pm).

Surely one or a dozen people saw the Speddo repair van parked in close proximity to the office during this 3 to 4 hour period.

That car parked in front of AJ's ex-wifes car in Benaroon Drive ... Who owns that I wonder?

in a small community surely ms and bs would be known to locals at the school and cafe so why hasnt one person gone to the media and said yes, they were at the assembly that morning, unless they couldnt remember that far back by the time bs was named poi, but still, if they were friends and chatted etc and it was an award ceremony so you would remember things. i understand school staff not commenting, but locals wouldnt be gagged would they?

I believe that the police know very well who was involved but don't have enough evidence to convict them. Perhaps they have all come to the conclusion that William has "gone", including the parents who have packed away his room. By releasing bits of crucial information strategically, they are possibly hoping someone will come forward with information that will build a bigger case. By letting the public know the names of these men they are effectively building a fence around them which can provide a degree of safety for the community. Others may come forward with accusations that will eventually get all men behind bars, even if not for this specific case. I have all faith in the investigation team and am grateful to them for the effort they are making. I'm confident that this case is ever-present in their thoughts and they are as determined as we are to have those responsible arrested and locked away. It's only natural for us to wonder and speculate but I'm sure they know the answers. We just have to trust them to finish the job properly.

It's also very heartening to know that so many people, from all sides of the globe, still care so much about William.

And releasing the 3rd person of interest now when he was already unearthed last May? was also sus...kind of like letting everyone "out there" know that he was already searched and accounted for so possibly no more searches likely?

Maybe these reports are to give the abductees a false sense of security?

Yep, it was going to become more difficult for them to be around children.

I wonder why police only recently revealed info about the 2 cars and Jones. They said it was for strategic reasons. Were they quietly watching Jones to find William? Was the plan to put heat on one (Spedding) and monitor the others? I remember Jubelin saying the most important thing was finding William so I guess that means waiting and watching the pedos instead of rushing in.

I wonder who this couple from Victoria renting the cabin at the caravan park were, and why did they drive up from Victoria? The Victorian side of the investigation is very quiet.

This, 100%. The strategy used by the detectives in this case has been very interesting, and very telling. Good things take time. Watching, waiting, gathering evidence. I know it's frustrating, but I'm sure this case will eventually be solved. Justice for William and his family. The main priority is the location of William and building a solid case which will convict the group of men responsible for this. As I keep saying, the police most likely know who they are, they now need to prove it.

Yes it does, but if William knew them already maybe he sees nothing odd in the situation (not blaming family here, but maybe a connection to others). Also, given his 'transient' life and a 4 year old's memory he may not know what's normal or wrong, so he just goes along with whatever the 'grown ups' tell him. Therefore, he accepts it.....if hidden from public.

I hope there's a huge breakthrough soon. I'm almost losing track of how many months William has been missing

Police have urged us to report to them anyone that talks incessantly about the case or changes the subject when there is heavy coverage in the media. I just wish they could tell us blow by blow what they think happened and who was involved. I know they never do that but it sure would give the public guidance on who to look out for. It could be a POI's neighbour or cousin who overheard something worth reporting, but if no one knows who to be suspicious of then whatever they've overheard won't seem significant.

We know of 4 POIs now of course, and I hope that associates have reported anything that seemed suspicious in hindsight.

There's still the Victoria connection. Nothing has been released. I hope that bit by bit they are closing in.

One vehicle is a green or grey sedan that drove past the Benaroon Drive house about 9am while William and his sister were riding bikes in the driveway.

Det Insp Jubelin said the car drove into the quiet cul-de-sac, did a u-turn in the neighbour's driveway and drove out of the street.

The second sighting was of a four-wheel-drive driving out of Benaroon Drive about 10.30am - when William vanished - and was later seen speeding down another Kendall street.

It sounds to me like the first car spotted William, and the second car took him. I wonder who reported the 4wd? Surely police know who owns it.

I wish I knew what happened and I understand all the theories. But I just feel like with every POI everyone has decided they are involved.... Why not just 1 of them maybe? Or 2? Maybe they are not all linked. I remember when this started everyone had Bs family convicted..... I don't believe it's as obvious as everyone thinks. Just my opinion.

Hi TGU ... your post brought to memory a conversation with my daughter (herself now a single mum of a little boy)

She is insenced and appalled on review of the 'pedophile' registry - so many men, so many young, so many that look normal, and so many that look attractive ... Her response now ' no way am I meeting any man!'

What do we do about a society that has become so depraved, and to some extent (as much as we tut tut and are horrified) we accept - This is NOT acceptable in our society and in our country and I think it is time to take a stand against

Just had a thought. I wonder if William's visit to his grandmothers was mentioned on social media even if unintentionally. With location services etc it's easy for people to know where you are without you really thinking about it. Were there photos of William on social media? I'm sure pedophiles are all over these sites, the very reason I do not have social media.
