I just want to say a big 'THANKS' to everyone who's posted since I returned. I'm on a mobile device at the moment so I can't do that for individual posts (the eyestrain would make my head explode at my age :) )

Your intentions toward William are altruistic and it's obvious you care very deeply for him. You all give such thought to your posts and, even if I seem to take the contrary position to yours, it's not personal or meant to be dismissive of your opinion. I'm just thinking out loud or exploring all avenues.

As William's disappearance is the first case I've 'websleuthed' I really appreciate the fact that you keep challenging me to think more deeply about William, his family, the role of investigators and the justice system, and the possible circumstances of his abduction.

I know we're all keeping William in mind and close to our hearts. If this was all it took to bring him home, he would've been in his loved ones' arms long before now.

Have a wonderful day. I am blessed enough to have my own grandson and we're spending what seems to be increasingly rarer days together as he grows older. Believe me, I've learnt to treasure them even more since the 12th of September, 2014.

Sending much love to Nanas everywhere ♥

I definitely recall there being a Spider-Man toy in the earlier photos too Krig. Just can't locate one now though

Thank you! I feel less crazy now haha. IIRC we all went over it in detail around the time the figurine was reported being found in BS's van.

this from january 2015 daily telegraph article....

LYING IN WAIT?
THE person who abducted toddler William Tyrell may have laid in wait until the nearby houses were empty before striking, a neighbour believes.
Judy Wilson, whose property adjoins William’s grandmother’s backyard, believes it may be more than just coincidence that the child disappeared only after she went to run errands in town.
She said someone could have been waiting for her to leave, potentially aware that the neighbour on the other side was also away.
“If someone was watching the house, they would’ve seen me leave and would’ve known the other neighbour was away,” she said
Her theory emerged as it was revealed that a second access point to the street could hold the key to cracking the case.

More (unrelated to this case) arrests in NSW. More children rescued, I hope. That sex crimes squad sure is being kept busy.

I have no words. These people are sick beyond belief and need to be locked up forever!

I wonder if there is an absolutely inconsolable and bereft foster grandmother who is being protected. One who may have mentioned the family's visit and spiderman to a tradie, may even have had a spiderman gift laying there for William's arrival ... pyjamas, toy, colouring book ..... and one who certainly (through no fault of her own at all) had her precious grandson go missing from her house.

ETA: It could also be that the FP aren't fussing over those kind of details so they kind of blow them off, as whoever took William would have taken him no matter which superhero he was dressed as that day.
:dunno:

I still shudder when I think of Spedding with a spiderman toy in his van. Why?? Too many coincidences ....

.

No doubt there is an innocent and broken-hearted FGM who is feeling that way, SthAus, and wracking her brain over and over again about who she spoke to, was friendly with, trusted, etc. How could you bring anyone into your confidence ever again? Alongside grieving for William, she also has the burden of same for her husband who passed away earlier that year, I believe.

I agree with you. I'm sure it wouldn't have made a jot of difference who William was, looked like, etc, to the 'person' who took him. The only thing that would've mattered was he was on his own and helpless.

As for Spiderman toy(s), I know there was one found in BS' work van but do you remember seeing a photo of one on the verandah at the Benaroon Road house? I thought you may know as you've been on William's threads from the beginning. If there was a photo such as this do you have a link for them and/or the discussion on WS? [Never mind, question answered above. Thanks all.]

From bearbear's link ...

The news follows a recent study exploring the illicit content freely available on the dark web.
According to the report, the most distressing statistic was the 122 websites distributing illegitimate 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

The report said users of these websites appeared to seek vindication and support for what they deemed as “unjust discrimination” for their non-mainstream sexual practices.

“There appears to be no fear of retribution or prosecution in these illicit communities, and as such users apparently feel comfortable enough to share personal stories about their otherwise stifled tendencies.”

I really have to wonder at the sudden surge in arrests of this type. There really have been so many lately. LE have to be getting lots of information from somewhere. Even if it doesn't lead to William, we'll never know if it's information that has come to light during his investigation and / or calls to Crimestoppers as a result of that investigation.

However, the more people they talk to the better, and you never know, they only have to find one weak link.

I can't seem to access it now either. From memory:
1. 12 detectives were added to the investigation to work round the clock.
2. Extra resources were thrown at the case about 6 months ago and whatever is needed will continue to be given.
3. This seemed to come after Garry Jubelin said they had ahuge amount of data to sort through and the FP had a meeting at a private function with the state deputy premier and police minister.
4. police believe it was a targeted abduction and may be the victim of a paedophile ring operating in the area.
5. parents are desparate for the public to not give up hope and keep searching.

I'm sure there's more but thast's all I remember. Hope we can get our hands on the article soon.

Point 4 just made me feel sick and sad.

That's interesting. How does one come to end up at a private function with people such as the state deputy premier and police minister? They don't invite me.

So much secrecy. And it seems that none of it's helping William.

covert online operation that was sparked by a tip-off from Queensland Police in June last year.

Isn't that the month Jubelin and his team were ready to board the plane to Queensland after a photo landed on his desk?

During their investigation, detectives from the NSW Sex Crimes Squad's Child Exploitation Unit allegedly uncovered a series of communications relating to child exploitation between alleged members of the group.............................................
Three men - aged 61, 50 and 47 - and a woman, aged 45, all from Sydney's north-west and west, were arrested in October and November last year.

About the time the WT investigation beefed up.

I hope I never have to go to one of those meetings, asac. I don't know how I would cope if anyone I loved went missing. But at least some good did come out of it. Jubelin got extra resources and the other positive thing is that they do have heaps of information to sort through. Hopefully just one piece of that information will lead them to William, just like the call to crimestoppers that led police to Karlie & Khandalyce.

Later posts now make it sound like a private event related to William that they all went to, rather than a "function" as one might think a "function" to be. The original wording just made me think about the fp's and the secrecy factor.

Yep, it's hard to paraphrase sometimes. Finding the right synonym is not always easy, but I sure do appreciate everyone who tries. And I agree that the secrecy makes everything so difficult here, on many levels.

too many coincidences for me as well ~ the Spiderman figure in BS van did it for me. I don't believe the story that someone gave it to him, I wonder if they checked out that theory. My husband, and No one I know drives around with one. I have stated before, I wondered if the parents recognized it at all. I knew all my son's toys, I would love to know the answer to that one?
