Police have said two vehicles matching those descriptions were spotted by William’s mother on the day the then three-year-old went missing from a home in Kendall, near Port Macquarie.

The white station wagon belonging to Jones was towed away days later by Strike Force Rosann detectives for forensic examination.

Days later ........ really!!!!

Holy Moly!

And the truth is coming out!!! Jones and Bickford were lying through their teeth. Now we know who Bickford was referring to when he said "we" in his interviews.

Gee why lie unless you are HIDING SOMETHING!

So where do Spedding and Nichols fit in? They both say they were in Dunbogen sometime that day. Is that a lie also?

So why release this info now? Hmmmm

Wow this is huge!
I'm wondering if arrests may soon be coming and this recent flood of news is to flush out any last scraps of information people may have to offer. My new theory... BS informed the others that the children - vulnerable foster children no less (just their type) - were to be present at Benaroon drive that day. The other two creeps went and took William. I figure that if BS had only 'innocently' informed the others and had no further involvement he would have dobbed them in long ago. The fact that he denies everything makes me think he is purposefully complicit beyond just tipping off his little criminal cohort.

How much booze does a hardened man need to get drunk by 2pm? A morning outing then hit it hard at lunch.

....and then drove a car on the streets to his home quite unchecked as usual?

The family of convicted pedophile Tony Jones said that he went to meet his friend, convicted child sex offender Paul Bickford, on the day William disappeared

Hats off to Jones's family for speaking up and not protecting this piece of slime!

Bickford is said to have told police he was having lunch with friends in Port Macquarie and outside court last month he denied he was close friends with Jones.

So assuming Bickford's wife is supporting this alibi of his? If so shame on her....

I thought there was 4 cars but now I'm wondering if 2 were the same.

I've long considered that it's a strong possibility the sedan that William's FM noted when she opened the curtains that morning, and the one she saw turn around at around 9:30am were one and the same too, Ange.

My neighbour's car, a Ford Falcon (of roughly the same vintage as the sedan in the identikit) is painted with greenish-grey duco. The car looks more green or more grey, or an equal amount of both, depending upon the amount of light and shade.

Yes, well done to Jones' family. Imagine how much harder this investigation would be for police without their help.

To think Bickford spoke to ACA just the other week, so composed... ugh.

I think you could be right about that scenario ninjabynight. Yeah, I wonder what's coming. Why release this info now?

I would love to know what their phone ping data says about all of their whereabouts that day, and in subsequent days. The task force must have a ton of results about that by now.

I saw the telegraph article before I went to bed last night/this morning and could not sleep for thinking about William and the filthy animals. Questions keep popping into my head. Why bring two cars when two people could come in one. If William was snatched and put in one of the cars it would have been difficult to drive and control a terrified three year old. Were the perps in that street visiting one of the neighbours and just happened to see William. Why did they think that they would have an opportunity to take him unobserved? It would not be expected that a three year old would be unsupervised. How did they know that no neighbours would observe what they did? These two are known pedos but abduction is a huge leap from previous known abuse. This information, whilst dreadful, is what was suspected by most people. Why, then, would a respected journalist say that the public are being lied to. This is so confusing.

NEW evidence has emerged that two convicted paedophiles who are “persons of interest” in the case of missing four-year-old William Tyrrell may have met up on the day William went missing from a home on the mid-north coast.

The family of convicted paedophile Tony Jones say he told them on the day William vanished that he was going to visit convicted child abuser Paul Bickford, and that when Jones returned in the afternoon he was drunk.

The Daily Telegraph understands Bickford was driving a grey sedan at the time of William’s disappearance, and Jones was driving a white station wagon.

Police have said two vehicles matching those descriptions were spotted by William’s mother on the day the then three-year-old went missing from a home in Kendall, near Port Macquarie.

This is HUGE news, why is it only coming out now?!

Or in the days before.

BS said he had not been in the street before during or after the the day of the quote and the repair.
PB said he had no idea were that place was anyway.

Hey Bohemian, Can I Give Thanks multiple times to your post.

There is no excuse for preying upon, nor for subjecting others to abuse, victimisation or degradation in any shape or form.

The perpetuators of such inhumane behaviour must be dealt with in such a way that they, and all others like-minded, are of the full understanding of NO TOLERANCE in this society.

and all who have found themselves at the hands of these misfits, must be given the opportunity to be free ..

And that was what I was agreeing with completely!!! Not directed at anyone, just thought it said it all so very well.

Maybe because they have known all along that it was this group of paedophiles but needed the evidence so had to hush it up...however to a person living in the area with small children....well you would be furious to know that these people were still walking the streets and every chance someone would go all vigilante?? I dont know, this is a new theory to me but I could see that being a reason??

Perhaps they only knew at the last minute there was going to be an opportunity to snatch? They might have been planning another day originally?? then a quick phone call to them was made by someone who KNEW they were all home???

Children are not walking home from school any more - many mothers are picking their children up from bus stops less than 100 metres from their front doors - and there is a lack of youngsters playing in the street or in front yards.

I guess now we know what the locals feared. I remember we speculated for ages here the locals may have picked up on something from the police and all the questions they would have been asking.

Holy Moly!

The family of convicted pedophile Tony Jones said that he went to meet his friend, convicted child sex offender Paul Bickford, on the day William disappeared in June 2014,*The Daily Telegraph*reports.

However, when questioned by police about his whereabouts on the day, Jones reportedly told them he was in the bush collecting scrap metal.

Bickford is said to have told police he was having lunch with friends in Port Macquarie and outside court last month he denied he was close friends with Jones.

Can it categorically be called a lie yet?
It's been said that Jones said he was going to see Bickford, it's also been said that Jones said he was going to see Bickford and also collect scrap, it's also been said that it's sketchy but Jones said he was going by the pub and might have mentioned Bickford...

I've had days where I've said that I was going to do something, was stopping off somewhere on the way and might see Bob because he's near there. Well, I didn't end up looking for Bob. If I later state my activities and Bob isn't a part of the story, that doesn't mean I'm lying.

Of course, if they're acting like they're acquaintances when they're actually buddies....that's odd.

I've got a real bad feeling about this new revelation... and have often wondered if Jones getting drunk before coming home was to blot out or lessen the impact of having done something horrible.

I've gone in the opposite direction. He now may have stopped by a pub and he may have a friend who lived at a pub....oh, well no wonder he was drunk. I can see how he could end up drunk merely by doing those things.

I had also been wondering if he had been blotting something out, with this info I'm thinking it could easily just be from drinking.

Seems Lunches and Morning Teas were very popular that day!

Just wondering how BS knew which part the washing machine needed if he hadn't been there to inspect it. Also, he is reported to have said that he thought he'd been there when he saw the FG's house on TV.

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...l/news-story/97a47cc5fe384c2fbf91c2f87488c9fa

How long does it take for a washing machine part to come in? Surely it can't have been a long enough time for him to forget that he'd been there.

So many untruths are emerging in this case and at this stage they seem to be centred around a few key players. Hmmmmm.

Or in the days before.

BS said he had not been in the street before during or after the the day of the quote and the repair.
PB said he had no idea were that place was anyway.

....But Bickford said Jones was just “an acquaintance”, rather than a close friend.

I think this information was released now for a reason. In think police have proof that the two were together that day. JMO
