Would someone please tell me who the writer of the Daily Telegraph article is around PB and TJ maybe meeting the day WT disappeared? Thanks

Taylor Auerbach

I have been wondering if perhaps they were just there planning to scope out the property beforehand , expecting the foster family to be arriving later that day (since the grandmother thought they would be arriving that evening and might have mentioned it to BS). Then the opportunity to abduct just presented itself right then.

It's been a while, does anyone remember the color/models of BS and MS'S vehicles besides the white work van?

Not good with models but if you google his name with images then a red car does come up in several pics. Also on his FB page.

Has Taylor pursued P B or TJ for a response to TJ's family's comments. I wonder if they would give him a response as he described them as scum and liars in the ACA piece. Has Taylor gone rogue or just delivering what the police would like us to know at present? Even if the police are bang on in their suspicions, when they play in an unlawful way, it brings into question their investigation and shows that they don't have adequate evidence, just big suspicion or maybe some scapegoats?MOO

So, if Jones was collecting scrap metal (which includes parts of cars) that day, and police were looking for part of a car on a forest trail within a couple of weeks of William’s disappearance, then police may have been onto more persons than Spedding pretty much right from the get-go.

And how would they have got onto them? Phone pings? Someone talking very early on about the perhaps-limited things they have heard? Online activity?

BBM: If Taylor wants continued police tips and info, especially exclusives, he will be only releasing what they approve. IMO

ETA Anyone who followed the Morgan Huxley case will remember how a media outlet did what the police asked, and were rewarded with exclusives for their efforts. They even got to follow and film the arrested perp all the way into the police underground garage and to the elevators, on the day of the arrest.

So now we know why police are interested in Bickford and Jones, but the big question for me is (and police can probably answer) why William?

What is the background? How are these two tied to Benaroon Drive - a random cul-de-sac that you don't visit without reason?

It's a question that leaves a tiny window of doubt.

I have always wondered if the 'sex offender living on the street' had visitors that day .... have often wondered if Spedding knew the offender .... maybe Bickford and Jones know the offender? Birds of a feather ....

Exactly, Soso. Sorry I"ve had to copy & paste your post 651, as I couldn't get it to multiquote:

Or in the days before.

BS said he had not been in the street before during or after the the day of the quote and the repair.
PB said he had no idea were that place was anyway. (BBM).

So he's telling lies. Even dear old Colin confirmed that for us. A wise person once said that if you're going to tell lies, yo need a good memory. Poor Old Bill, seems to be losing his a bit.

According to Colin ......

Colin said Mr Spedding had visited William's grandmother's house on Monday, September 8, but needed to order a part, which arrived on Thursday September 11.
He said that, when Mr Spedding got in touch with the family on Friday, the day that William went missing, he initially couldn't get a hold of the grandmother.
Mr Spedding is understood to have told police that, at the time the toddler disappeared, he was having coffee with his wife in nearby Laurieton.
He said he then went to a nearby school presentation.
"He's rung them again because he couldn't get them in the morning," Colin said.
"Then [William's] mother answered it and said, 'Oh I'm afraid, look I'm afraid you can't come and do it at the moment - we will give you a call when we can.' "

The sentence was reduced to take into account that Jones’ early pleas of guilty had “utilitarian value” within the justice system.

Judge Flannery also considered that Jones has been held in protective custody for 12 months prior to sentencing. Jones has told the court “12 months felt like three years” under the strict contact conditions and only up to one hour of exercise per day.

Defence lawyer Stephen Wright told the court that Jones had not been taking his medication for a mental health condition and had been drinking to excess at the time of the offences.
We have not actually heard from AJ....in regard to William ...... he has been locked up in in protective custody since days after William disappeared.
I assume he now optimally medicated.
imo

I don't think that's right. I think the reference is to BS's video and that we had some discussion at the time over whether he was denying the initial consultation at the grandmother's house. I thought he meant he'd never been at the house (or in the street, may have been) at any time other than the two occasions of the washing machine attendances. Does anyone have the link to his video handy?

Yes , that's TA. PB doesn't seem to have any of the places he was staying or visiting searched or his car. Wonder why?

I have not been in the Tyrrell house or to the Tyrrel house or to the Street before, during or after these dates.

  • #697
Thanks Soso. That's what I mean. He said he first attended on Tuesday the something of September and returned to the complete the repair on Thursday the 18th. Then he said he hadn't been to the house or to the street before, between, or after those dates.

Perhaps all the "slimes" were planning on stalking around and abducting a child that day. They might have thought they could get a young child on their way to school before 9am or at a shopping centre later. Maybe BS was going to Grandmother's house early in the morning to fix her machine and then meet up with the others. He may have seen William and his sister riding their bikes in the drive and decided not to do the repair but rather alert the "slimes" of possible targets. (Remember the deleted call.) BS may have gone off to meet wife for coffee etc. and create an alibi for himself. Police haven't been too worried because they had AJ locked up early in the piece, PB under tight scrutiny and BS well and truly publicly implicated. Police would have known full well from the day they raided the unit above the old pawn shop that they had one of their men. They would have found all kinds of incriminating evidence that linked BS to these men and their disgusting obsessions. I think the delay in all this has been to see if other "slimes" or victims bubble up to the surface so that hey can take the whole thing down with as many perpetrators as possible. They may also genuinely hope that William is still alive and by sleuthing the ring they might find evidence of his whereabouts. Sadly my gut says he's gone. Like Jubelin said last year; the worst case is not that a body is found. :(

Maybe they were looking for a creepy house to buy, to do creepy stuff in.

The pair were members of mid-north coast grandparents' group Grandparents as Parents Again and were both spotted driving vehicles with descriptions similar to those spotted by William's mother on the day he vanished.

Bickford was driving a grey sedan at the time of William’s disappearance, and Jones was driving a white station wagon, the Daily Telegraph reports.
