The Port Macquarie police have informed a member who made enquiries about the screen shot photo, that it was a part of their investigation and would not comment any further on where it fits into the investigation. I guess different scenarios are being mulled over by members in regards to information that has been made public during the investigation. We often look at the shot as having been taken after WT went missing, just exploring the idea of the photo being taken before he disappeared. Haven't said it might be the same day, but it might be, there is no reference. MOO
I wonder why they can't comment on it?

Part of investigation...hmmmmm

IMO, they are different spiderman outfits.

Have a look at the horizontal lines; in the one on the verandah, there is a horizontal line at the bottom of the neckband, and also 2 of the spider's legs meet there. In the other one, the horizontal line is significantly below the neckband.
Gotta go find my glasses [emoji1]

The edge of the suit in the top picture appears to be frayed. Or it might be he's wearing something white underneath it.
I think it might be a reflection? If it's a spandex type material it may have caught a little light in that spot. But I am looking at this on my phone so I could be wrong. Pic is pretty blurry when I blow it up.

ive said this way earlier but it still bothers me, i find the straight line under him where the blue underside meets his foot and the floor odd, its so straight like a cut out? but maybe its a msm printing fault

I think that might be the foot of a doll like a barbie infront of William's foot that's what it looks like to me up close I may be wrong though.

Just to clarify, I have no doubts about the photo taken on the balcony. I believe it's legitimate and a lovely pic snapped of this gorgeous boy capturing his happiness at the time. Police have confirmed its authenticy ect. The other one not so much.....

Before posting the two images up thread I studied and compared them closely and IMO the Spiderman top is identical. IMO the skype image was taken before William disappeared and obtained from William's parents. It is the only other image of William wearing the exact top he was wearing when he disappeared. I'd say it was used as a comparison by the police but not released to MSM because of its poor quality. I don't believe there is anything sinister about the skype image.

Obviously the police weren't going to give me any information about that particular photo or anything else I may have asked about the case, but it was worth a try.

I also think it is the same spiderman top. The balcony photo still bothers me, especially when printed in the Daily Telegraph. Out of all the reproductions out there, their copy is the worst. IMO

Why does the balcony photo bother you?

Why does the balcony photo bother you?

I have no expertise in forensics but I just don't know if it's a copy of another photo. I have gone looking online for photo forensics however I haven't come across that topic as yet. I have always felt sus of the photo that places WT at Kendall. When reproduced by the Daily Telegraph the image looks somehow diminished and yet they have continued to use the same copy. All I can think is that any other source that has used the balcony image must have digitally enhanced the image. MOO

Meh about the authenticity. It's never felt quite right to me. Of course my feelings could be off base. But the Tricia Todd case has given me pause in my acceptance of police saying someone "isn't a suspect", "we've extensively interviewed and everything checks out" etc and then BOOM that same person that was 'cleared' is arrested. Until an actual suspect is named or someone arrested I think everyone involved is suspect.

I find it interesting that POI 'DN' has spent a substantial amount of time in Tasmania. In the 1980's and from 2002 - 2007.

Sonny Day, the Internet perv recently found with a William Tyrrell story he had made up, is also
from Tasmania. He has fantasies about children both male and female around the age of 3.
One article about a court case in Hobart from March 2012, quoted -

`In his emails, Mr Day wrote about ideas he had about raping, torturing and murdering children, including babies, together with other offenders, and filming such acts'

Tasmania is a pretty small place. This sicko is back in prison thank god.

Was this the "twins on swings" sicko?

Regarding the "skpe" photo the police have on their board. I would think that if it was taken after his abduction the police would be showing that photo in MSM asking if anyone recognised the room William is in. The picture on the wall behind him and the stickers on the wall would be pretty distinctive. If the photo was taken after his abduction the bruising across the bottom of his face could be from a hand placed firmly across his mouth to keep him quiet.

I'm thinking it was taken before, and not at the foster-parents' house. But he's obviously more than ten months old there, and if those are bruises they're more than a few hours old. It doesn't make sense.

Yep and just a bit of trivia his address on the court documents was Ellendale ..... which just happens to be the nearest cross street to nana's.
Though the director said he did not reside there.

Are there any half way houses on the mid north coast?

Interesting... Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if this is a lot bigger than we all initially though. :(

You mean a kind of Freudian slip? Searching for a fictitious address and 'Ellendale' came to mind?

The webcam photo bothers me because of the one of the little girl police released recently trying to find out her identity. Of course in Williams case that was not needed as they knew his identity. It's hard to judge his wellbeing in the photo. I still find it a strange photo to use as a comparison to anything. That's why I can't hake the feeling that it was made public albeit discreetly in the 60 mins interview. Just my thoughts but who knows ???!

There were other photos taken that morning that haven't been released to media. I would assume that all the photos were analysed. Aside from forensics they could have also gone back to basics and looked at clothing, hair, time of day etc. If there was anything wrong with the photo it would have been picked up IMO

I don't think they put too much thought into the photos on the wall of the task form room.. In one of them, you can make out the name of the FM, that's obviously not supposed to be released to the public.

having watched a doco recently on the Claremont murders in WA it's apparent that years later police reveal info that was never released earlier on in fear of it jeopardizing the case. Hopefully soon we will get some new info like this. Let's hope it's not as many years down the track as it was in the poor Claremont victims case and that they find him sooner.
