With reference to the lack of confirmation/clearance on the POI's vehicle inspections it was alarming to read that in Daniel Morcombe's case that Brett Cowan's vehicle was in fact tested (and Daniel had been in the car) and those tests were left sitting in a lab for YEARS.Not followed up as Brett was just one of a number of suspects. Brett admits in this same article that he hadn't even bothered to clean the vehicle after taking Daniel. How cocky!

There are are a number of similarities here in the circumstances surrounding the forensic testing
numerous POI's
huge amount of evidence to sort through etc

HOW BRETT COWAN ALMOST GOT AWAY WITH MURDER

On December 24, two detectives arrived at Alf’s Pinch Rd and asked Cowan if they could take his car for forensic examination. Of course, he agreed. He hadn’t even bothered to wash it. They covered the filthy white 4WD with fingerprint dust, checked for blood and took strip tests to collect hairs or anything else that might give them a DNA profile.
The samples were sent off to Queensland Health to await scientific testing. And there they stayed - for years.
With Cowan just one of many names on their list, nobody would check to see that the tests had been done. And they wouldn’t until 2011.

Sounds like good ole Col saved the day. hahaha

"Although Mr Spedding declined to comment, a close friend “had spoken on his behalf” and his comments defending Mr Spedding were prominently featured in the article."

You are on a roll, bearbear! Great find. So it seems Spedding (or his rep) did lodge a formal complaint after all. Not that it got him very far.

So as it now seems that BS did make a formal complaint this would rule out one of the suggested cenarios that Dark Shadow pointed out that perhaps police had not officially cleared BS as a tactical move and that BS was in agreeance. That leaves me to summise that his alibi still can't be verified

Williams parents have made a heartbreaking appeal to those involved to give them closure.
While police believe William may still be alive. his parents after more than 2 years have to face the terrible alternative.

To the person who may feel controlled tied and stuck in a relationship.
Unfortunately, there are trade offs and this trade off is a get out of jail free card, immunity.
If you know you can make a break and do something.
If you have no freedom there a million dollars of freedom.

I agree with FD it really is now or never, if someone can give them closure and chooses not to after this latest desperate plea, even with the thought of $1 million if that's what it takes.
If this doesn't break them I doubt anything ever will and the parents will never get closure, I can't imagine having to live your life without closure and trying to stay sane.
Even the person who knows what happened could get closure.

A compensation drain or pit is a hole in the ground that collects road drainage direct, or from drain pipes of multiple grates.

ps. Septic tanks have 2 or 3 tanks often.

So FGP is in the Kendall cemetery next door. There is a swinging rope by the track. There is a NSWRFS bunting around a compensation pit. mmm
Hi Crabby, please excuse my ignorance but would you please advise what's a 'compensation pit' ?

I think I heard some possible rumour also of an old well in the area, but I don't give any credence to this even if it and pits etc exist, as SURELY those things would have been thoroughly checked very early in the investigation.

How would William get in there? The plumbing is obvious, but the only way William would get in there would be in small pieces, in his own foster grandmas septic tank. Not happening.

As for the other POI, they have checked septic I believe. The first tank is the obvious one, which contains the solids. The chances the second tank are extremely low, nigh impossible with the design. One POI had a blockage at the time. Turns out it was a shirt. Would have been happy to have the septic drained.

Hypothetically, what if knowledge of the location of a septic system component in the garden was lost when FGF passed away, and what if it was not easy to spot, for example if it had been cosmetically hidden by planting or turfing, and then become further overgrown?

It would make a great lure to the car from the verge. I bought you a Spiderman Will! The question is, did it belong to a grandchild, but it was in a commercial business vehicle. We need more info about the school visit etc.

'Can’t leave him in random hole': Tyrrell family make emotional plea for closure

'"To that person, even if William is dead, even if somebody killed him - deliberately or if it was an accident - and you know where he is, he’s got to come home,” his mother said.

“If William is dead then you can’t just leave him in some random hole somewhere, it’s not right.

“His remains need to be acknowledged and signposted that this is where he is."

The distraught mother said that if her beloved boy is dead, there needs to be recognition and a funeral to celebrate his life.'

'"He wasn’t yours to take. You don’t go around stealing children," she said.

The mother said the money is "a million dollars of freedom" and the person who knows information can make a break and ultimately has a "get-out-of-jail-free card".

The Tyrrell family said they are hoping that William's abductors have kept him and are caring for him.'

Because the septic tank is not visible in available photos and not visible in extensive video of garden in 60minutes documentary, I am trying to find where it is. Estate agent advert says there are 2 bathrooms, and locating them is easy from the high level windows (10:54s in the 60minutes documentary). The tank must be downhill from both bathrooms.

Do any of you feel a coincidence that it was only after William's foster dad left the house to make his business call, that William went missing?

If my memory serves me correctly, as soon as she realised William was missing, foster mum rang him immediately to ask him if William went with him, causing foster dad to race home immediately to start the search, as he was hysterical.

Foster grandma's property having no fences was a security hazzard.

I can imagine William's foster mum regrets having taken her eyes off William (for that short time to go in and make that cup of tea) haunts her to this day..... So so sad to even try to imagine how that would feel.

I really don't like to say this but I wonder at times if William had an accident at the house (e.g. like falling from that extremely high deck).

There are still many questions that need to be answered. As respected journalist, Caroline Overington stated, the public will never know the truth about what really happened to William. I wonder how much she knows, that we don't. It appears that there is much more to this case than meets the eye.....MOO...

Interesting that FM mentions "even if it was an ACCIDENT" in her latest desperate plea in this Daily Mail report.
I honestly feel that we will never know the truth about what has really happened to William.
I also feel that this $1,000,000 reward will have no effect on bringing William home (sorry).....It has been too long now, sadly.....MOO:tears:

DCI Jubelin has said many times the he has spoken to William's family (ie; FD, FM and FGM) and they have been cleared of any involvement in his disappearance.

Where there is no trees. Thats where tanks will be. If there is a green patch in the grass, that will be the main tank

Estate agent advert says there are 2 bathrooms, and locating them is easy from the high level windows (10:54s in the 60minutes documentary). The tank must be downhill from both bathrooms.

I presume every backyard well in surrounding houses has been checked. As stated, if a decomposing body was anywhere in the vicinity, there would be an incredible smell.

William was playing hide and seek, although sister had gone into house to toilet. William had run to the rear of the house.

What would a 3 year old do on their own in the backyard with no fences? Did someone lure them tot the kerb with a Spiderman?

Not to mention DCI Jubelin said there has been an extensive search and William's is not a case of 'death by misadventure' or 'little boy lost.' but due to 'human intervention' and 'William was abducted':

I always thought the spiderman toy was found during the search of the vehicles in January.

This has always made me sick.
Whether spiderman was in his van at the time William went missing, or any other time after, why would you? Seriously.
You have been put through the mill backwards and forwards, your family is humiliated, your friends (except Col) are wondering, your van has had the 'S' removed. Why would you ever let a spiderman toy inside that van - no matter who put it there. It is far, far, far too significant-looking, and a horrible reminder to some (which should include himself imo).

I doubt it. FGM would be aware of where it is, as would her kids. Neighbours might an idea of where it is too - I know where they are for many of my neighbours - though ours are all treatment systems, so get serviced every 3 months, and parts of the system are exposed.

If the house was being sold - then this information would be in the documents, and council should have plans of where it is too.

It was Soso. Some of us learned privately about the Spiderman toy months before it was eventually mentioned in MSM in June 2015. I remember it was such a relief to finally be able to talk about it here.

Oh yeah I remember that now.

My comment re ACCIDENT was not directed at the foster family, as I know that they were cleared right from the very start of any involvement in William's disappearance.
However, it didn't help matters that a 3 year old foster child was left on his own outside unsupervised, even for a very short time, in unfamiliar surroundings being a large unfenced property adjoining thick bushland in all directions....MOO.

As well as the million-dollar reward, police have also promised a level of immunity to the person who leads them to William...................

“We wanted William to be returned because of the goodness of people. Unfortunately that hasn’t happened yet, but maybe circumstances have prevented people coming forward

I have nothing but the deepest, deepest sympathy for the F F and especially the FM and FGM who were there when this terrible act was committed. They were doing no more than all of us - letting our kids and grandkids play in our own yards. They have my uptmost support.
