wasnt it today, 20th march, that the ban on media reporting of bs current court appearances is lifted? cant remember who, but someone here contacted a journo who informed that after 20th the judge would lift the ban or review it?
I think it was 20th February from memory. I assume the ban was continued.

Sadly I think this is common. I am not sure why ... a sense that if they admit to themselves that their spouse is a monster, they're admitting to themselves their marriage was a lie and a waste perhaps? I'm sure some really do believe it's their spouse who is the victim - sickening and enabling.

Remembering little William ...

"The parents of missing boy William Tyrrell forged ahead with a home renovation worth $769,000 in the months after their little 'Spiderman' disappeared, council documents show.

The boys' parents – who cannot be named for legal reasons – have spoken of their devastation over how the toddler missed the construction works on what was meant to be their 'forever family home', on Sydney's north shore.

The heartbroken mother and father have been attacked by trolls on social media over the renovations, which were first approved by Ku-ring-gai Council in July 2013, more than a year before their child was snatched from his grandmother's house.

In their development - which was estimated to cost $769,241 - the couple put in for a 'first floor addition' and a carport. Distressingly, the parents have said the home renovations included a new bedroom that was meant for William."

It is very sad that this family continues to be attacked on social media .... how the @%!@! Does trolling the family and itching about how much money they have help find William?

Who cares if they went ahead with the renovations ..... they planned them before William even went missing ..... as much as people think they should just stop and cease to exist living tneir lives ...

Sounds to me theres a lot of people getting caught up in the Witch Hunt mentality....very sad.

I can't help but think that although the article seems sympathetic it is a veiled way of introducing questions that the public are not allowed to talk about. Seems weird to show that they are delving into any public details that they can investigate and publish. I don't think DM's motives are clean, but they will be able to claim that they are. MOO

Has any sleuther seen evidence that all stakeholders were/weren't in accordance with this "forever home" for WT and his sister?

I recalled that the family earlier had been reported to not have kept WT's bedroom, so I was surprised to read that the FPs hope he will love how they've made his room.

Despite the family still holding out hope their much-loved boy will come home, William’s mum and dad decided not to keep his bedroom set up for him after seeking advice from health professionals about how to help their little girl cope with the grief.

“We’ve been advised to not set up a room for him because it gives false hope for not only his sister but for us,” his mum said.

....

“This doesn’t mean we have forgotten William, there is no way in the world that we could ever forget him.

“We don’t need to have physical things to remind us of William. William is always in our thoughts and hearts and will remain in our hearts forever and that will never change.”

And from the same article linked in posts above:
'How can we plan for our family's future without him and yet, do we try and make plans as if he's not with us?'
The letter continued: 'We have almost completed our renovations on our home for our little family,' the parents wrote.

'We had planned those a while ago and we planned for it to become our 'forever family home'.

'It's heartbreaking that William has missed out on all the fun things that he (would) have been so excited to be a part of – the diggers, the saws cutting timber for the roof, the trucks and all the trades working on our family home.

'He (would) have been so, so very excited especially knowing he wold be getting his new room upstairs with lots more room for all his toys!

'Having missed out on the fun of building, we hope that when William comes home to us he loves how we've made his room his own special magic place.'

The family, who have previously made a public appeal for their boy on TV program 60 Minutes, declined to comment to Daily Mail Australia this week.

In a letter written to coincide with National Missing Persons week in 2015, the mother and father said it was difficult to plan for the future without knowing what had happened to their little boy.
'It's incredibly hard thinking about our plans and dreams for the future now,' the parents wrote.
'When we think of the plans we might make, often we question ourselves because we want so much to include William.

Missing persons week in August first week I think.

William Tyrrell’s sister forced to keep terrible secret of brother’s disappearance

Maybe they had to pull down Williams room for renovations and they chose not to set up the new one upstairs that was intended to be his.

(Who is DM?)
Hi there, pretty sure it refers to the Daily Mail who ran this story. Personally, I don't tend to get caught up in all the variances in 'stories' that emerge, because at this stage I figure, if it keeps William front of mind, then that is a good thing.

Please God, there will soon be someone who gets the courage to come forward with some snippet of something that may seem inconsequential to them - but may actually be the key to unlock this puzzle.

The only thing I can say is that 'if something is sticking in your mind, if something makes you wonder - then pass that on to those who can help to make sense of it, and spare you the burden of wondering'.

Yes, I get that, and I understand it, and that would be just a horrible horrible decision to have to even think about making, but it seems to be the opposite.. they said they weren't setting up his room, but yet it seems they are now saying they did.

I see what you are saying. I was interpreting it as though it was all said in the letter back in August 2015.
How long would it take to complete the renovations .... months or years?
If the construction certificate was submitted Feb 2015 could the renovations have been on the way to completion by Aug 2015? ie the structural aspects not so much the cosmetic
