Yes of course a lawyer would usually tell his client not to talk to the media, but that's based on the fact the odds are his client is more likely to be guilty.
In this case if I knew I was innocent, I'd be very unimpressed to be paying to get this advice.
As it drags on for years, I'd be more than happy to be able to prove my innocence to anyone who would listen.
It's a wonder his mate isn't speaking on his behalf anymore.

I would think if one is NOT guilty, it would be even more important to just keep a zip on one's lips and let one's lawyer deal with media and questions. You can see how much CY's comments to the press have seemed to actually end up hurting BS, rather than helping him, when helping him was CY's only intent? Would we want our friends speaking to media on our behalf if we became POIs in a horrible case, in which we were not even considered a suspect, and had not been charged? I can only speak for myself, but I know I wouldn't want him saying a word on *my* behalf. Would you?

Agree...but following that line of thought why do a public video to profess his innocence...which would have been another place to also provide the photos/evidence to prove that same evidence......and not provide it?

Who knows? Can't speak to BS's intelligence to produce such a video in the first place. Perhaps he thought it would be enough that he simply made a statement, and thought his words would be trusted at face value? Ridiculous notion. I remember reading that he had indicated 'no comment' to media, and that his lawyer had advised him not to speak to the media. I'll bet his lawyer freaked when he saw that. jmo. Perhaps he finally *got it* after that video? And no matter what evidence BS would have chosen to share/provide during that video, it never would/could have been good enough to relieve the public's perception of him after all that has been printed in MSM. Even when a misperception is printed in MSM, it continues on for years still being repeated as if it were fact (as an example, that bizarre, suspicious blog entry that was written entirely by some Aussie blog writer, but was attributed to BS when he simply reposted it on his FB, the same as hundreds of others did - to this day it continues to be attributed to BS, even here on this forum where we have repeatedly discussed it).

I believe that there should be a Coronial Inquest into William's case. He disappeared 3 years ago and this case doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

The Morcombes demanded a Coronial Inquest 5 years after Daniel disappeared. They had to keep fighting for it to happen.

I think the only way we are going to get any action in William's case is to have a Coronial Inquest for the truth to come out and find those responsible for his disappearance, so that justice can be served and his beautiful foster family and loved ones can have some closure.

I'm all for it. Bring it on as I wouldn't like to see this turn into a cold case !!!

When GJ did his most recent press conference, he stated that coronial inquests occur after all of the lines of enquiry have been exhausted. I would think there would never come a time when that would be the case, there would always be *some* line of enquiry they would still be following up on. If there did come a time, it would presumably be years from now. The sooner the better, imho.

Just a thought, one of the site-specific searches may have been in response to AJ’s ‘alibi’:
’It is understood Jones told police and family he was "out bush" collecting scrap metal on the day William went missing from Kendall.’

didn't he also tell his family that he was seeing PB that day? His family said he returned home drunk that night. can supply a link if anyone wants, but as far as i know, i think this is the case, from memory... ?? MOO

No I certainly wouldn't want CY speaking on my behalf, but I guess he was chosen for a reason, the FPs had friends who did a great job of defending them.
If I could prove I was innocent, I just couldn't keep quiet for possibly the rest of my life knowing many Australians believed I was a killer.

With any luck, it won't be forever; the case will be solved, hopefully SOON, so that those who are not involved can be vindicated, and whoever is to blame can be brought to justice. (Keeping fingers crossed!)

Also, do we know that CY was 'chosen', as opposed to just taking it upon himself to 'defend' his friend/relative?

Anyone thought of the possibility there might be a sting operation going on with one of the POIs? I can think of one which would be in a ideal position for this... just a thought

If I understand your post correctly, an inquest being demanded is about the *only* way we'll see one. Here's hoping!

is that sarcasm lol? i just don't know everyone's personality yet . fine if it is :D

But yes possibly? I think 3 years is earlier than the norm though. It might take anther year or more to get to inquest, & in that time it could be solved?....

2 pm alibi for AJ. Wonder if BS 2 pm alibi at Dunbogan checked out?

The alibi he has provided to family members is that he was out collecting scrap metal at the time William vanished. They say he arrived back home drunk at 2pm that day.

FAMILY HAD NO IDEA OF PAEDOPHILE TONY JONES’ ‘HORRIFIC’ HISTORY OF CRIME
Taylor Auerbach, The Daily Telegraph

It is understood Mr Spedding performed a separate *repair job at a home in Dunbogan, roughly 14km from Kendall, about 2pm on the Friday William vanished.

When Gary Tweddle was found and they were talking about an inquest, to see if his death was an accident or foul play, I emailed the Coroners Court in NSW to inquire when we could expect an inquest.

They replied and said that when the Coroner decides an inquest will happen, it would take a year or more before it would happen. It would have to be put on the schedule, all the case material would have to be gathered, the witnesses would have to be subpeoned, etc etc. And this was for someone who had been missing for 6 weeks and then was found.

Then the inquest actually happened about 1½ years later.

I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of material, witnesses, witness statements, POIs, etc, that would need to be collated and put together for an inquest into William's disappearance.

Yes. I think that is a distinct possibility. But that is all I am going to say, because this forum is readable by the public. :D

thanks for the info. i appreciate it. I guess what i got from this is that BS and TJ were not together at 2pm. Bs could have mentioned to TJ that children were coming. TJ and BS could have acted together. TJ or BS could have acted alone - but TJ seems the most evil. Getting TJ convicted quickly and off the streets could be a clue as to where the investigation may have headed --besides looking closely at BS?

No worries. Jubelin has already publicly stated that there are overt and covert operations going on. :)
