Unless WT had a spiderman toy with him at FGM's place for the visit there, then i think the SM toy is a moot point IMO. I think the general consensus at the time might have been BS used a SM toy to lure WT with?

Ahh hah! Gotcha.

Well that is if Col has his calculations right. Col's accuracy .... :dunno:

I’m sure the prosecutor will be able to refresh people’s memories.

William spedding is at the centre of his case, do I really need to put up a link.

Here you go:

‘Forensic psychologist Dr Yule said police were working on a reasonably narrow abduction scenario.

"There may be a misconception that there is a lot that we don't know about this case. I've visited the crime scene multiple times and there is a lot of information that that location tells us," Dr Yule said.

"Combining that with assessing all the leads that have come into the investigation so far, there really are a limited number of possibilities that can account for William's disappearance and from that there are actually a lot of inferences we can draw about what has likely happened and the likely personality of a person or persons who may be involved."

William vanished from a dead-end street on the edge of a small town. No one but his parents and grandmother knew in advance of his visit to Kendall.

This has made police confident that the person who kidnapped him was already in the area.

"You would have to have some other reason to be there and take that opportunity; either visiting, residing or working in the vicinity."

There was only a narrow window of opportunity to take William, who was snatched in broad daylight and with a significant risk of being seen by someone on the balcony of William's home as well as neighbouring properties.

This has made police certain that the kidnapper was impulsive and took tremendous risks.

And if they took tremendous risks, mistakes were almost certainly made.

"It does seem that this was an opportunistic crime and when somebody makes that kind of impulsive decision, mistakes are made and it's those kind of mistakes that the investigation is focusing on," Dr Yule said.

No one has been arrested over William's disappearance and one person of interest has been publicly identified, washing machine repairman Bill Spedding.’

I dint think the suggestion about the Spider-Man toy was ever related to it being Williams . It was more a question of why he had one in his washing repair mans car.the explanation was that one of the kids gave it to him to keep him company.

They did have young children in their care from the look of the backyard where they were living, and play equipment there. I'm sure WT wasn't the only child into Spiderman?

(quote)
Detectives questioned Spedding’s wife Margaret about where the toy came from and she reportedly told them it was given to her husband by one of the children they cared for.

“(The child) left it in the van for (Mr Spedding) to keep him company when he was driving,” the Daily Telegraph reported.

Mrs Spedding said she believed the toy got police attention because of the costume he was wearing when he went missing.
Police have searched Mr Spedding's home and business, as well as bushland a few kilometres from his home.

In April police revealed the believed the disappearance could be linked to a paedophile ring operating in the area.

The head of the investigation, which is being treated as a homicide, Detective Inspector Gary Jubelin, said the information was new, solid and he believed a number of people may have played a role in William’s abduction.

That is my thinking too.
We had foster boys at the time William went missing, so of course, his case struck home to us dearly.
One was particularly into Spidey and had many Spidey related items. One could have easily ended up in our cars..probably did at some point. Not making excuses for anyone...just think the reason given could be factual. At least in this respect.
MOO.

Morning!!

Sooooo I'm trying to catch up and skip through the last several pages, so far I have learned about tea drinking, frog eating, valium milkshakes and Mrs Mangle.

I'm gonna hazard a guess that something has happened today in the actual case (yeah, I know, call me Sherlock) anyone care to fill me in a bit? Cheers.

Haha, no nothing new, sorry. Just rehashing the previous stuff, :)

The thing that I find interesting is that police felt the need to question Margaret about the spiderman toy, and MSM felt the need to report that had happened. Pressure being applied to Margaret? I think so.

Detectives questioned Spedding’s wife Margaret about where the toy came from ....

From the video of them both walking I noted MARGARET is a talker, she was the one answering freely but he was very weary and reserved.

Well her face wasn’t pixelated, and/or her name/identity withheld by MSM (like PB’s and AJ’s partners IIRC). Now I’m really going to bed zzzzz)

Well, she was evidently buoyed by the news .....

A few months ago, Youngberry reveals, *Margaret Spedding went to a clairvoyant. He says he’s heard the tape recording of the conversation. Margaret asked the clairvoyant if her husband had been involved in any way in William’s disappearance. The clairvoyant reassured her he hadn’t. “That made her feel good,”

Thankyou Karinna. Here is your post asking for a link.

Yes, a link to say BS has something to do with WT being missing.
And your post asked if i had been reading the news etc. Yes i have and have seen nowhere that it has stated in MSM that BS has anything to do with WT's disappearance. That is why i asked for a link, because i have read no such thing yet.
