Thanks soso. Good questions and I think there may be conflicting reports in MSM regarding them.

Anyway, here’s a bit of a rough outline in the form of a blog post that lists events and circumstances that may explain why I think some WSers can’t eliminate his alleged involvement in William’s disappearance:

https://www.websleuths.com/forums/e...William-Tyrrell-12-September-2014-Alleged-POI

I can edit a blog so if you, or anyone else wants to copy and paste portions of it into posts here, I’m happy to add or delete information contained in it.

Had a read of the blog Bo.
I have ruled no one out as being involved - just lean further in one direction.

I will have another listen later.
But did AJ say - “Where I was on the day he disappeared was with my next door neighbour, getting her hot water system, you got your answers? Look I answered your questions mate, go away,” he yelled.
But she then called ACA and said she did not want her husband being used as an alibi?
Maybe a typo...:dunno:

When Mr Jones said he “arrived home at lunchtime drunk”, the A Current Affair reporter asked him how he’d be able to confirm his alibi if he was drunk.
“I just told you where I was, fool!” he yelled back.

Geez maybe he was helping another neighbour in the street, not the one who called ACA...

See I get confused. If he was not booted from the wifes home until September when he was charged with the sexual assault of a child, and he was residing with his relative the day William disappeared.
Wouldn't his neigbours be different.
Maybe he helped one neighbour months before and the new neighbour the day William disappeared.

I just am trying to imagine AJ in the interview room....what a fire cracker...imo

I still cannot work out how you are able to use someones car without them knowing. Particularly if you do not reside with them. But I guess much of that rap sheet was a shock evidently.

“The connections are just insane, they are almost inexplicable to how they’ve come about,” she said.
Katrina ended with a message for Mr Jones, her estranged relative.

I am so curious just how they all came about.

BS' alibi is that he was with MS having coffee and after at the school presentation. MS has confirmed he was with her. Until now, LE has been unable to disprove this alibi. If the $1M is aimed at MS and she has still not backflipped on the alibi either he was with her or she loves him and no amount of money will shake her. As a mother and grandmotherI would imagine MS would have a lot of empathy for children so I would be surprised if she would protect him if she thought he was guilty.

Now, I would say that the police have been unable to prove Spedding's alibi. Not that they have been unable to disprove it.

The reason I would say that is that Margaret is deemed to be critical to his alibi. Which says to me that there has been no independent confirmation of Spedding's alibi ... even though he says he was in two very public places (and in a small town).

"His wife Margaret is critical to his alibi in the William Tyrrell case, claiming they were drinking coffee together at a café in Laurieton, 10-minutes from Kendall, at the time.

They claim to have then visited Laurieton Public School to see their grandson in a school presentation, before Spedding went on to a job at Dunbogan."

Thanks for taking a look, soso. It’s a work in progress.

So much of what AJ says confuses me. Maybe Katrina lived with AJ and his wife in September 2014. I vaguely remember it being reported that a relative said AJ had arrived home drunk at lunchtime the day William disappeared.

Didn’t PB live at ‘the pub’ because he was separated from his wife? The wife he had lunch with the day William disappeared? And wasn’t it reported that AJ and PB may have met that same day?

Apparently DCI Jubelin said SFR were still looking at the cars (with the exception of the seized white station wagon that had been eliminated), as of September 2017. Is it possible that the grey and/or grey-green sedan was the ‘odd car out’ in Benaroon Drive that day and not the white station wagon? Just who was driving that car?

PB said his son was in Queensland when William disappeared. Did PB’s son drive his grey sedan to and from Queensland or leave it with PB in Port? Regardless, PB said it’s been scrapped, didn’t he?

So many questions. Geez, I hope SFR know what’s going on here because I sure as h*ll don’t.

The estranged wife of an Australian man linked to the disappearance of NSW toddler William Tyrrell has described being questioned over the suspected abduction case as "beyond comprehension".
The woman, who has asked not to be named, found out in September last year that her husband Anthony Jones had been charged with indecently assaulting a child.
She kicked him out of the family home in Wauchope, NSW, after learning of the shocking allegations.

Jones came to the attention of detectives investigating three-year-old William's disappearance after their focus turned to grandparent support groups on the NSW Mid North Coast.
Jones was once a member of the Port Macquarie-based Grandparents as Parents Again (GAPA).

Detectives interviewed Jones while he was in custody in April and questioned him about any involvement in William's disappearance.

It is understood Jones told police and family he was "out bush" collecting scrap metal on the day William went missing from this grandmother's house in Kendall.

Detectives also questioned Jones' estranged wife about his movements.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/austr...sband-linked-to-william-tyrrell-disappearance

But as it turned out he was not residing with his wife on the day William disappeared. He was living with relative Katrina.
Did she say he said he was going to collect scrap? Or just that he was heading to the pub to meet Bickford?

thanks SoSo. I've made 3 attempts to post along these very lines tonight - my stupid iPad kerosene on 'refreshing' and losing my post!! So frustrating!

Petsonally I don't see AJ as to the 'removalist' from FGM's, however I do absolutely wonder what he knows, especially given all the interwoven cobwebs...they can get so sticky. Niece / housemate Katrina didn't seem to be a fan - I wonder why she stayed in residence ?

Just my own thoughts & ponderings

Yes AJ living arrangements very confusing.

Another former GAPA member, Anthony Jones of Wauchope, has also been charged with indecent assault.
It is understood he was charged shortly after William vanished from his grandmother's yard in Kendall on September 12, 2014.
Mr Battishall said the men left GAPA as soon as members found out about the alleged assaults, which he said occurred before William disappeared.

Maybe it took a little longer for his wife to find out I guess.:dunno:

And does anyone recall a discussion about a Green car - with a Dad saying his Son had "scrapped it in Qld." Was that from AJ ? And his white car was stashed next door - was that at the same place from where the now Widow has disputed his presence in fixing the 'hot water system - whatever ' , in that fateful day for William & all those who love him ..

BBM--I think you are thinking of PB who was filmed talking to reporters about his son's car, silver or grey or grey-green. I thought he was trying to distract away from talk about the other car, and playing a game with the reporters, as if to say, if you want to chase a wild goose, try this one instead. And everyone did.

I’m confused (as usual). When you say ‘he was trying to distract away from the other car’ do you mean the white station wagon seized from AJ’s wife’s next door neighbour’s garage, JLZ? DCI Jubelin said the white station wagon has been eliminated from enquiries during his latest presser.

Draft blog post with links*:

  • He allegedly has a distant connection to William by way of his ex-wife, DG, her brother KG who lives with KL who owns a silver Commodore, and is/was(?) best friends and planned to share a house, with NC, William’s paternal BGM. He also has an alleged relationship to BS courtesy of their shared hometown of Wellington. [Link: http://www.news.com.au/national/cri...y/news-story/a793c87d9162d7b7ddacc7ebb3da0028]

I'm not sure. I found a copy of the video with PB but talk about cars was no longer part of it. I don't exactly recall now if he was asked about driving a white car himself or whether AJ's car was under discussion. I think PB mostly just wanted to create a bit of confusion; perhaps his implication was that there are thousands of white stationwagons out there and if you throw in grey sedans as well, and everyone with a connection to anyone who's ever had either of those, you'll be looking at a large part of Australia. Anyway I can't see him introducing the subject of his son's car if either his son or the car had anything to do with the case.

Bickford claims he owned a white Commodore and his son had a grey sedan which was in Brisbane.

Was PB white commodore a station wagon or sedan?

I would imagine that the police had zeroed in on the car that Jones had access to because they were able to identify the make of the car by the foster mum's description (and perhaps other witnesses descriptions, too. I can't imagine that she was the only one who saw the cars. The foster dad and others would have driven right by them that morning).

If the cars were considered a crucial item to rule in or rule out, many police hours and experts likely would have been spent on them. Perhaps also seeing them on the town's CCTV when they were leaving the area, too ... providing them with clear footage of the vehicles.

The car that Jones took once in a while was apparently a Toyota Camry.

Jones' white Toyota Camry wagon matched the description released in September and was detained for forensic examination.

POLICE investigating the baffling disappearance of toddler William Tyrell from the small town of Kendall are focusing their investigation on CCTV footage taken from the local tennis club.

Investigators will today set up at the Kendall Tennis Club with still images taken of all cars captured on the club’s CCTV camera on the morning William went missing in the hope of identifying any suspicious vehicles.

Port Macquarie Superintendent Paul Fehon, who is leading the investigation into the three-year-old’s disappearance nine weeks ago, said police were asking everyone who drove past the Graham St club before 11am on September 12 to come forward and identify their vehicle.

“We’re trying to match them up to see if we can eliminate the local cars and then see if we’ve got cars that are unusual,” Supt Fehon said.

“Unfortunately, it’s not a head on or behind shot where we would have number plates, it’s only descriptions of cars.

“We’ll look at the side profile of a car and if we can’t find identify some then we may have a new line of inquiry.”

.... Kendall Cellars owner Rheannon Chapman says ....
"I think the police side of things, the suspicion, was there straight away," she says.
"Just little things like looking at our CCTV. We were told not to delete anything and that was the next day.

And wasn't it the next day that the foster mum told the police about the cars on the street? Or perhaps even late on the night that William disappeared?

It was the first night, on the way back from collecting the sister from the airport that William’s Mother remembered seeing the cars, I think arriving back at the house & passing the location of the street that the cars were parked in triggered the memory, she then ran to where the police were set up & informed them of the sightings.

Sounds like the police jumped on that right away. Had the townsfolk save their CCTV, and even set up roadblocks at the exact time William went missing, during the same day on the following week.

Police set up a roadblock at the end of Bendooran Drive at the exact time William went missing, asking passing cars if they remember seeing anything

I just came across this thread. How sad that this poor little boy is still missing. With a (A)$1,000,000 reward being offered ?? Someone should be tempted to come forward with information!!

There's this video in snopes of little Williams parents and the mother talking about her "vision" .. I found her comments a bit odd but I'm not in her shoes sooo ~ yeah.

Yes SA - the cctv.
The known sex offenders were questioned very early on in the case.
I am assuming DN was question early. He said he was at Dunbogan maybe cctv was checked out that way - very early in the investigation.

AJ and PB were charged early in the investigation with the assault of a child and no doubt (well I hope) added to that list - very early.

I guess the key is more about where cars were said to have been... and were not ..imo.
So BS van should have been parked somewhere in Laurieton from the time he went to the office until after the school presentation ended. Pretty distinctive van - someone must have remembered seeing it, given the length of time it is said to have been parked in the area. I guess BS was able to tell the police exactly where he parked it. It appears he told the police in that early interview he went to Dunbogan.
There was some confusion early on as to whether that was morning or afternoon in msn.

PB's in the car park where ever he his wife and friends were having what seems to be a very early lunch.

AJ well we really don't know if he even had a car. Just one he took without permission occasionally or frequently...:dunno:
Did he even have a licence?

Out bush - what does that actually mean?
I heard someone say to another person the other day when I waiting in the doctors surgery. "Oh he went bush again". The discussion continued and it ended up being the person they were talking about had disappear and gone off somewhere without telling anyone where they had gone for a couple of days.

Just made me think. Maybe AJ went walkabout from time to time when he was on the drink or not, and the term out bush was how that was described by the family. He was not taking his meds at the time, either.
But he claims he was with the neighbour getting her hot water .........so that is not out bush............
Katrina said he was home that morning and back drunk that afternoon .......that is not out bush.

All too confusing.

I vaguely remember him talking about the cars in response to a question about a question from a reporter about the cars seen opposite William’s FGM’s former residence on Benaroon Drive by William’s FM early on in the morning of the day he disappeared and how they resembled AJ’s white station wagon and his son’s grey Holden Astra sedan. I don’t think he introduced his son or his son’s car either. I’ll have to take a look back in William’s threads to see if I can find mention of this.
