Hopefully the quiet from Jubes and team is because they no longer need any help from the public and that they know exactly what happened and they are getting there slowly slowly with everything they need to pounce .

Exactly what I’m praying for, Hb.

Agree. Like DCI jubelin stated
The person(s) responsible should be nervous/
sweating!! I can’t recall the exact terminology
It was something to that effect?!
At this stage, I think they’re just building a strong case before they proceed.

Wouldn’t it be just amazing to wake up one day to the news that the person/s responsible had been caught out in a way similar to that of Cowan’s undoing, & William’s remains were recovered so the dear boy could be remembered respectfully & properly.

Yes it would be, I don’t think there is much hope of William being alive but to have the evil perpetrator/s caught would be just.

Can you imagine the stress that the perpetrator would be feeling? Or are they lulled into a sense of complacency because so much time has passed since the crime?
Are they looking over their shoulder every minute of the day? Nervous whenever there is a knock at the door? Or are they feeling quite smug that they have evaded capture for so very long .. thinking they are smarter than our fine police force?

“If I was the person responsible, I’d be feeling a little bit nervous,” Inspector Jubelin said.

SUSPECTS in the abduction of William Tyrrell are being secretly watched away from the public glare of the country’s most baffling missing persons case.

I still hold out hope that William is alive, Hb, but in what condition I can’t bear to think about. My hope diminishes as each day passes though. I always wonder, will tomorrow be the day William is found? I can’t imagine what his loved ones, DCI Jubelin and the members of Strike Force Rosann haven and are going through; let alone William if he is alive. This crime must be heartbreaking for all of them. The person who took William has a great deal of suffering to answer for.

I have a feeling that the only help they need is from that person(s) who will open up to them and blow apart an alibi.
They don't seem to be asking for any other type of information.

By that person(s) not doing that, it means that police have to take the long way around. Discount every other scenario, so that only one scenario remains.

A bit like Victorian police had to do with Karen Ristevski's car ... discount every other car like hers to pinpoint that it was her car seen on relevant CCTV at a very incriminating time.

The police are only interested in genuine information. “That information might be in the form of people who have concerns about someone they know, someone with their family. The way they react when William Tyrell's name is mentioned might cause suspicion."

If it were BS, he would probably be sweating bullets until the end of his days, or the day he is finally caught out, given his experience with past actions coming back to bite you!
If it were AJ, I think his cocky aggressiveness makes him feel evasive enough to get away with it, or at least keep on denying it!

Let’s hope whoever it is, is looking over their shoulder so much, that they fail to catch site of Jubes closing in!

I often have wondered what Spedding thought on the day that police knocked on his door to arrest him for the historical crimes. Did he think they were coming after him about William? Was Jubelin there hoping that he (or Margaret) would crack at that moment?

Even Margaret seems to have wondered which crime Spedding was being arrested for, maybe wondering what proof they had of a crime(s).

Spedding was heard to yell out “no” as he was arrested, the Daily Telegraph reports. He was then led from the home to the back of a police car shortly after and taken to Port Macquarie police station, where he was formally charged.

A cousin said Spedding’s wife Margaret was very upset.

“She’s devastated, she’s very worried ... She’s wondering why they’ve arrested him.”

I think the police going after him for those historic crimes says a lot about what the police think in regards to him & Williams disappearance. Don’t get me wrong, obviously those crimes should never have been left unprosecuted.

I can only imagine fear. I think he’s quite calculating. He knew SRF was investigating him for WT disappearance, so he quickly reached out to the victims trying to get them to sign a statutory declaration stating he never sexually abused either victim. That shows premeditation, assuming the SF would bring up the historical charges?! . If he was innocent? Why would you feel the need to arm yourself with proof nothing happened, before even being charged!!

Yes. I also think that it is what a relative of his thinks about him in regard to William's disappearance.

"Spedding was charged after one of his own relatives tipped them off about the historical allegations of abuse.
The relative called police with the information and they were at Spedding’s home “within an hour,” The Daily Telegraph reported."

I assume that that would be the case, I guess I was looking for a glimmer of hope that she knew something from the investigation.

I thought the same as we are all clutching at any strand of hope and i even had a fleeting thought that KR’s dad died knowing a secret.
Silly and bazaar but a thought nonetheless.
