If BS was due to be at the house that morning and he happened to be lurking with bad intentions then if caught on the premises by fm/fg he could have come up with an excuse to be there

Did he need to lurk? I personally don't believe he expected the family to be there. Squeezing in a repair before they showed up, is what I think was scheduled.

But what?
That piece of broken tail light?
A shred of fabric?
What could remain in its place, in the elements in 4 years?
Grass grows, gets cut and trodden on...any DNA would be long gone.
What could it be!

Are they out to prove he isn’t there?

A Valium milkshake is needed right now. NOW dammit!! arghhhh.

Something, anything that would tie a particular suspect to the scene. I have no idea what that could be, but I hope they do.

Unless he had prior knowledge they had arrived earlier .

Yes, maybe. I personally have never thought that this was planned. I think it was random and opportunistic. William was seen, William was taken. Very quick decision, not thought through. Hence the poor alibis and some kind of trail that left reasonable cause for very intrusive search warrants.

And if it wasn't him, my next guess would be a street resident, in an also not-thought-through action, random and impulsive.

Yes . I guess the scenario of spedding being there as planned and seeing opportunity right there in his face is very plausible although I still think TJ is somehow involved

The first day of the search saw about 50 officers cover some 600 sq metres using shovels and trowels to comb through bushland while dogs searched the area. The search will continue for another four weeks until an area of 3 sq km has been covered.

In 2015 it looked like police had found a breakthrough when a nearby property was searched and a septic tank was drained.
Police previously said they were looking at the possible involvement of an active paedophile ring on the mid north coast.
On Wednesday Jubelin said that this had still not been totally ruled out as a line of inquiry, but it had not led to any charges.
“Until this matter is solved, we keep all lines of inquiry open,” he said.

Reimer only moved to Kendall six months ago, but her parents have lived here for more than a decade. She said visitors always stood out.
“If I was visiting they [the neighbours] all knew that I was up,” she said.
“You look in the yards and think how could someone sneak up there, it just makes no sense.”

Did anyone watch the Wanda Beach Murders special this week? Most of those sex crimes/murders were random and opportunistic. And they couldn't catch up with him, even though he was under huge suspicion and had been identified.
He (Chris Wilder) had a sex/killing spree across Australia and the US. They even bailed him at one point and let him travel !!

I was wondering if they were purposely disturbing the undergrowth during the search (they seem to be digging/hacking/and raking pretty hard) and then the dogs are going through after them ... seeing if they can scent anything deeper below.

They must know what they are doing, being a specialised, strong, healthy team.

Didn't catch 10 news but saw channel 9. BS gets a mention again. The media just won't leave him out of the picture will they? ;)

Toy found in William Tyrrell search, as police collect new bags of evidence

The ABC understands although it is too early to identify any link with the missing boy, the toy, along with other bags of evidence, had been collected in the first day of searching for new leads into the disappearance of the then tree-year-old, known as the boy in the Spiderman suit.

In bold at the end of the article:

The Deputy State Coroner is expected to travel to the area later this week.

The fact that a neighbour stated the time, to the exact minute, his wife drove away has always felt strange to me. Who does that.

Not on your own k-mac. I think that it's possible too.

I know I am out on my own about what I think happened to William.
(still think its highly possible he wondered off and fell into some kind of demise freak of nature accident)
