Slightly off topic, but do we know where GAPA met? Was it anywhere near the Batar Creek search site? Could it be at the Scouts hall?

I believe GAPA were based in Port Macquarie. I have not heard of a group being based in Kendall.

They visited the Batar Creek Road site during that time whilst they were under surveillance. There must be some connection between the two sites and a suspect or suspects.

FGM being involved in that adjacent land doesn't surprise me, she was very involved in the local community. Which, imo, gives credence to the idea that this wasn't really a "stranger" abduction per se. More like an acquaintance abduction. I'm sure she would have mentioned the kids to people, and that the kids were going to visit (it was only the day they were arriving that was a surprise), and word could have gotten around.

How is she involved with the adjacent land?

They visited the Batar Creek Road site during that time whilst they were under surveillance. There must be some connection between the two sites and a suspect or suspects.

Given the latest ABC video I posted a link to above, which was aired yesterday, has Nichols living in Kendall at the time of William's abduction. He may be linked to Batar Creek Rd.

I thought that aswell, It just doesnt sit right that they would not search all the bushland, why just that one patch of land. A patch of land that has defined boundaries? I would get it if maybe someone saw a suspect throw something out a window or something, but a coincidence that that exact patch of land is a parcel of land with defined boundaries. Im probably reading to much into it, but why not search the surrounding bush? Also, if some car was seen there, why not ask the public "did anyone see such and such make and model on Batar Creek road recently"

I can’t see a structure, just bush. In the first image there is an anomalous rectangular area, where the canopy is much lower on the property.

That’s why I think they had a suspect in mind when they searched Kendall Forest near Benaroon Drive. They wanted the suspect to get rattled and make a move. Whatever happened at the Batar Creek site, locals apparently came forward with more information for investigators.

sorry to reply to my own post. found the property that WS member 225719 posted links to. They provided evidence the property the Batar Boy Scout control was near the search zone.

Can anyone provide any evidence that this was in fact the property that was subjected to the recent search?

This property is 2.023 hectares that is a lot more than 800 sq metres.

The slither of land in a triangular shape above the scout's land DP586796 is closer at 1069 sq metres. This slither can be viewed in my previous screen shot from sixmaps.

I thought maybe it could be sending a message to the suspect that they knew he/she/they had been there. As I said, I believe there is some connection between a suspect and the Batar Creek Road site. One that we don’t know of but investigators and the suspect do. As you say why bother searching that particular plot of land otherwise.

interesting that the school bus route goes down benaroon drive and batar creek road. At the time of William's abduction was school in or on holidays?

Could it be that an adult on that bus on the morning of William's abduction witnessed him playing in the side and front area of GM's house with his mother or by himself, then decided to come back for a closer look closer to 10.15/10.30am? That adult person would more than likely drive that route every day so knew when they observed William he was not from the area!

That slither of land is immediately opposite the school bus stop! House on higher land overlook perhaps they have observed something untoward. Perhaps school children have seen something. perhaps school children have reported something about the school bus. the bus goes down benaroon drive too!

That’s why I’m thinking covert surveillance of some kind. It’s been used in other cases I’ve followed where they have narrowed down the pool of POI’s to a single strong suspect.

not necessarily. could possibly mean they have various persons of interest. if you listen to the abc link I posted today you will find valuable information shared by Peter Johns who was the Coroner's counsel that whittled the person of interest list in the Daniel Morcombe case, and eventually broke the back of that investigation. Inquests have a lot more resources and witnesses are protected. Name suppression will be applied for sure . Cowan was P7 in the Morcombe inquest.
