Strange, so you ask the question, and when a reasonable answer is given and I ask you a question, you bat it away, and say you don't know nor care and it's still his fault. If you didn't care, why did you ask the question in the 1st place? Interesting.

No frog I am not batting it away.
I just think if you had named your self as a poi in the case of a missing three year old boy.
Why would you slowly cruise passed the search sight. There was no set up imo, is what I am saying.
BS has a brain if he did not want to be snapped by the media. Why not take a different route to where ever he was going?

I guess I see it more simplistically than that. Maximum pressure brought to bear on a police suspect using all their resources to make it stick and get an arrest. MOO

And why would that be? Because a three year old boy disappeared in suspicious circumstances from his semi-rural FGM’s house that he had attended only days before, situated in what essentially is a paved cul-de-sac, who had not been located after months of searches? BS was, and still is AFAIK, a legitimate line of inquiry in the investigation. What did he want after being named as a POI and appearing on Channel 9 without legal advice? A confetti parade? Don’t tell me he was, or is, that naive; especially as he had been questioned irt CSA in the past.

I think the woman in the other court case who is described as obsessive and bizarre is his ex and mother of the victims during family court proceedings. IMO

Yes, I think that you likely are right.

The thing is, this woman has probably had a pretty horrendous life herself. Some of us have read Hillsley’s own background, and the woman has grown up in the same environment. There is a good chance that she, herself, has been abused by Hillsley and others, too.

To me, it is probable that Hillsley abused her children. (I wonder who the father is of her other child.)
That Spedding abused her children/their child.
That associated others abused her children.

She may not have been able to help herself, but as a mother she may have tried to help her children. Unfortunately, she had surrounded herself with the familiar … abusers. And she is mentally incapable of getting her plight across to others in a rational way.

Many women marry or associate with the familiar – drunks, gamblers, violent men, strayers. And others step right out of the mold and go for what they believe to be the opposite type of man. There is much research out there about that.

Luckily, many also surround themselves with the kind of good men that they fortunately grew up with.

IMO

'As those that cannot see'. MS springs to mind, sadly.

Oh, I think she can see. She chooses not to look. She may have to admit to herself that she married a probable (imo) child abuser, she may have to feel shame that she exposed her grandchildren to that, she may have to change her whole life.

Much better to keep the blinders on and carry on.

As I said before, I do not think he would be a POI, if the historical allegations were not in the mix. I don't think he could avoid being put on the news. I have no idea what it would be like to be in that position, splashed all over the news, advised not to speak and yet it might be the only chance to speak up for yourself. Don't know if naive come into it. MOO

Set up?
Is that the only route BS could have taken .. really?

It certainly would not be his usual morning route, if he usually went into his office first, as he apparently did on the morning of William's disappearance.

I am still curious as to exactly what vehicle was seen going into the forest in that area.

He did speak. He and Marg did an interview. He posted a video to u-tube.
His friends and family spoke to the media and it seems his version to others differed.
imo

Well we are not privy to his usual morning routine. He services a region which would include towns that are directly linked to that route. The time he passed the site that day was 11. 20 am, "just as police were commencing their search", bit late in the day to be commencing, but whatever

I never said he didn't speak. Are you referring to when they were returning to their car from the cop shop and were bailed up by the press or something else? He posted a statement on youtube, so it could not be edited by the press. I'm not sure what your point is IMO

Bit late in the day too to be starting his working day, but as you say, whatever.

Was that the time he returned?

Returned to where, I do not know which direction he was coming from , where he had been previously or where he was going to and why. do any of you know these details?

Were the locals informed prior to the Heuston Mitchell road police search that a search was going to be conducted there? If not, then how is there anyway of knowing that you should pick a different route for the day so as to not attract attention to yourself?

Seriously, as a POI in a case involving a forest search near his house, no matter why he drove past the site .... it is not at all surprising that journalists/photographers that were present to capture search pictures, would also snap his van driving past. Would publish it in their papers.

Like it or not, this is what MSM does. Look at other cases, the same type of thing happens in them. Spedding - as a POI - is not unique in this way.
In the Karen Ristevski case, MSM have published photos of Borce Ristevski entering and exiting his house, for no particular reason. Just because they could.
How many photos did we see of Gable Tostee, any time MSM could snap a picture of him?

I am not disagreeing with you. We don't know why he drove past. It would just be better for him, publicity-wise, if he knew the search was going on, to avoid the area.

No I was actually referring to the planned and consented interview he and Marg gave near the oval.

Yes, the Channel 9 interview. The very first he and MS gave. At BS’ invitation IIRC.

Now, where was I? Ah, yes, your reply about BS not being a POI if not for the historical CSA allegations.

That may be true, IDK, as I don’t know the totality of the information available to the SFR investigation relating to that line of inquiry. None of us do. However, it is what it is now. BS was charged with historical CSA offences and was, and still is AFAIK, a POI in William’s case despite the outcome of the NSW trial and the case against him being dismissed in Victoria.

If we were all time travellers, we would have been able to prevent William being taken from his FGM’s yard and BS would be in the clear. As things stand, he isn’t in the clear. As far as I’m concerned, he won’t be — until he is publicly cleared of being a POI by police. As Ned Kelly said, ‘Such is life.’.

And, for the record, it’s my opinion that BS is anything but naive, despite his seeming victim status — in the first instance invited by himself and Margaret via a Channel 9 reporter for our consumption on the evening news. In fact, I think that BS thinks he is quite clever. At least cleverer than DCI Jubelin. On that score, I think he is mistaken.

No I do not know any details. Just thinking out aloud.
Maybe he could have been up and at it earlier and had already done a job earlier that morning.

But now I remember reading that Jubelin visited his home moments after he left.
So it was not a return journey from anywhere.
