I wonder what's holding them back. I would expect this person would take the cash given their low care for people. Only thing I can think is they are to involved to claim the money.

Questioning at an inquest may put a lot of stress on that decision.

Money is one thing already existing - prison is another...

@deugirtni you asked about the location of the new search area in relation to the search around WT's street - here's a "as the crow" flies pic

Again, Jubelin’s words “confident they will find the person responsible for William’s disappearance” makes me feel like they’re out of options.
I have faith is Jubelin, but I have seen along the way his opinion on things regarding them being a sign of “all other avenues being exhausted” change -
• in the beginning when the public questioned why there had been no reward- the police responded with it was a tool used when all other avenues had been exhausted, but on the two year anniversary it was announced & that the investigation was still very much active
• the inquest - now is being referred to as a tool for his team to use (in sure it is) but all along it seemed like an inquest would only happen when they were left scratching their heads.

It feels to me, like the investigation is stagnant & has not moved anywhere since the few months after William rounded that corner.
I guess we will see.

After watching those clips posted here, and with what Jubelin has said about someone visiting the site 3 km away (recently), makes me think they are getting close but maybe don't have enough evidence to prosecute. A coroners court will def help with that, and yet jules has time to complete some lines of enquiry in the meantime - which could include an arrest (insert prayer symbol). go jules and team! :D

Do you have link re: someone visiting site 3km....?
It reminds me about the post where WT 's BF has said that he has visited the area with a shovel to find William. Here is the link

I am no way suggesting that BF is involved but

Yes, reminds me of ff
I like this bit

“While police have not located William or evidence of William being in the search areas, Strike Force Rosann detectives have gathered information relevant to the investigation," said a media release issued by NSW police on Thursday.”

“Last week, the Herald revealed that one of these persons of interest diverted police from the original search zone in bushland metres from where William was last seen to the nearby Batar Creek.”

I hope the herald is right

no.. just to clarify, I was asking about the location of another property that was searched way back in the beginning, and how close it might be to the new search location.

In the link provided, I'm not seeing the part about someone visiting the site 3 km away (recently)?

I

think this bit gives it away, as long as you’ve been reading all the recent stuff about the search site, which was ‘recently’ searched at Batar Creek rd,

‘Last week, the Herald revealed that one of these persons of interest diverted police from the original search zone in bushland metres from where William was last seen to the nearby Batar Creek’

.... I recall a property/home that had been searched as a result of a tip-off wayyyyyyy in the beginning, which (from memory) I believe was somewhat in the area from where William went missing. Police said at the time there was no indication that those people were involved in WT's disappearance. Now they have done this fresh search.. it makes me wonder if that initial property could be still in the numbers? Does anyone have a map showing that location in relation to Benaroon and in relation to the new search areas within the past month? jmo.

I forget .. something perhaps like.. gunrunner road.. I know that's not it.. but does that ring any bells for anyone?

They must, in their mind at least, have a compelling reason not to come forward and tell what they know. You’d think common decency would be enough to motivate them to help police bring William home, let alone the promise of a huge reward and probably a new life, safe from the offender. Maybe this isn’t what they want but, for the life of me, I can’t imagine why. Fear, denial, blind faith they won’t be held to account — what?

Does anyone know what the triangular logo, seen in Iailwa's picture at the search site, means? I saw it there on Sixmaps and couldn't find it on a legend or anything. Does it mean council property or what?

Not for sure but I’ve seen a similar symbol on other maps denoting a campground.

I think it’s a tent - like bo said - camping?

Yes, I get what you mean, Violet but I’m of the mind that events occur when DCI Jubelin and the members of SFR think they should (in consultation with other stakeholders, of course). I think he could make quite a persuasive argument in favour of SFR’s strategy to bring William home — and the person responsible for his suspicious disappearance to justice.

I really hope they are!
The Batar search was such a promising sign when it first broke, I had goosebumps!
I imagine the look on Jubes face when he closes in on that piece of s**t

One of the posters in the last thread was talking about Batar Scouts. It could be their old bivouac site.
