I don't know, where the little sweetie should be, being well. I can't think of anything. Which possibilities would exist?

I don’t know where William could be either FG. One of the options DCI Jubelin gave at the presser on the third anniversary of William’s disappearance, although he stated it was very unlikely given William’s age, was that young children are sometimes abducted by someone who wants a child to raise as their own. Logically I know this is almost an impossibility; given the likelihoods of other, more serious, outcomes for William. Nevertheless, although it is highly unlikely, it is not impossible that William could be still alive; safe and well. A very slim hope, I know, but still, hope.

Basically, I am referring to the front yard as anywhere other than the porch and surrounds where William, his sister, his FGM and his FM were, or had been, sitting or could see the yard.

Bo, the above reminds me, about you witnessing a female driver, stopping her car, and 'speaking' to a young child, in the front yard. Then thankfully, you intervened.

Could this evil depraved perpetrator be the 5th POI. interesting this occurred at a place 2 other POIs were connected to. Jones and Spedding.

This 'poor little girl', even with thorough counseling, you would think, her life will be so much affected, as would all her family.
Yet, after some time, these 'perverts' often continue with their evil ways, affecting so many more innocent people.

The youngster was outside her home on Melsandra Avenue, northwest of Highbury Avenue and Huron Street, playing with a sibling on Sunday around 9:15 a.m. when a man got out of a four-door beige Chevrolet Impala and pulled her inside the vehicle before driving away, police say.

Could above be similar, to William, playing outside?

Two days later, a five-year-old girl screamed after she was indecently assaulted by a man in Glebe in Sydney’s inner west.

On the afternoon of May 30, a three-year-old girl was targeted in a Leichhardt park by a man who took her by the hand before her mother yelled out to stop him. The alleged attacker in Glebe and Leichhardt was described as being of Indian appearance and was wearing similar clothes.

Then at the beginning of June detectives launched a search in Summer Hill for a man after he pulled a knife as he approached an 11-year-old girl and tried to grab her.

The abduction attempts are fueling concerns of parents throughout Sydney about how safe their children are.

Out of the 9 incidents posted of children being abducted, approached or targeted in an abduction attempt, only three were boys. And, of those boys, all were infants AFAIK (although there wasn’t an age given in the MSM report about the attempted abduction of the boy from his backyard in WA but he was able to elbow his attacker and escape so he may have been an older child).

The only two cases that came close to having a similar MO to William’s was that of Aaron Anderson:

Family of missing 22-month-old still hope for his safe return

(But, again, Aaron was at least a year younger and disappeared in the US.)

And the four year old abducted from her front yard:

(Although a preschooler, the victim is female and this abduction was in the UK.)

Just goes to show how rare of an occurrence the suspicious disappearance/abduction of a preschool-aged boy, such as William, is in Australia, let alone NSW, and how brazen the perpetrator was to take him from his yard in broad daylight; regardless of whether it was the front or the back yard.

I'd actually call it the front yard too, Bo. The back yard was where the carport and back patio were.

I can see where some are confused, and would regard the front yard as being where the mailbox is. However, in this case, I regard it as the back yard, due to the layout of the house and its placement on the block.

From memory, I think Jubes agrees with us, as in his walk through with, was it ACA?, I'm pretty sure he referred to the area at the front of the house (with the long balcony) as just that, the front yard. However, I don't have time to find the link at the moment so it will just have to be IMO. But I'm going to continue to call it front yard, as otherwise too much confusion arises. IMO.

Yes, the front yard faces Benaroon Drive ‘proper’ and the road after you turn the corner into the part of Benaroon Drive where the driveway to the garage under the house is. I would class the carport and patio as the backyard too.
