@Whàngarei - what do you think they were doing in melb? Port melb you mentioned, but they preferred to stay near a shopping centre. Is that correct? Were any (or many) men there? Mostly females?
I don’t believe port Melbourne was mentioned. Port Macquarie was though .

From TOS perspective, don't think we're allowed to sleuth people that haven't been mentioned by LE or MSM.

Really. AFAIR she said port M. oh i see lol. but at the time it was talk of melb, as i said, this has been quite cryptic!

I think Whangarei did the right thing and called in her suspicions to the authorities, and they can either investigate further on it if they deem it to be relevant.

Don't let me put anybody off - open to discussion. But about @Whàngarei and what she has to say - it is highly praised one moment & then criticised the next, once everyone gets to leach info. What gives? This thread is sometimes like a primary school yard...

Yep totally agree and it's how all the bickering starts, some comments are just rude and uncalled for IMO

There is a saying that the mods say here on WS, it is 'address the posts and not the posters'.
It would be really nice if that was observed.

For myself, I am not challenging what Whangarei said. I am challenging what Whangarei was told.
For all I know, those people could have been there for totally different reasons than what they were saying or alluding to. We all know a task force was set up in Vic to investigate happenings there.

As far as the validity of the info, in WS terms. Whangarei knows that WS requires a member to be a verified insider or to post links for anything said, for it to be more than an opinion.

Poster was referring to discussion with lady who said not much shopping in Port Macquarie is how I interpreted the post. If they were choosing to stay near a shopping centre then port Melbourne wouldn’t fit the bill

@Whàngarei you must come back lol. we need clarification :)

Yes, but how many of us non-verified WSs give our opinion without links? If she could clarify things that would be great. I also think if she could PM someone, who could translate, but remain in TOS, that could help -- in their own "words". BO and SoSo are good for this IMO. sorry i don't have a link for them :D lol sorry

Many of us give opinions without links. It does not mean that the info in our opinions cannot be challenged or discussed. It also does not mean that anyone here should be talked down to, and told they are like schoolyard children or rude.

Many of us who disagree the most make a point of being respectful to each other. We all have different personalities, just like in the real world, and this should be considered. imo

For myself, there are posters here that I almost never agree with. I dont feel that I am rude to them when I challenge their opinion, and I dont feel that they are rude to me when they respond.

INVITING PRIVATE MESSAGES or EMAIL, and ALLUDING TO "INSIDE" INFORMATION

“Inviting” is termed as a post where you invite other members to contact you to find out more information, rather than post it in the forum. This is not allowed and any posts with emails or invitations to contact for more information will either be edited or deleted entirely.

This includes use of the Private Message system via comments such as “Check your PMs” or “PM me” posted in discussion threads.

Think about it - it's like whispering into someone's ear while you are at a table full of other people. If you want to have a private conversation just have it. Don't announce it.

There is so much good shopping much closer to Port Macquarie than Victoria .... Brisbane, Sydney, being two of those places.
If they weren't there for a grant (imo) and weren't there specifically for shopping ... what were they there for? If they were there as a group, as I think Whangarei was alluding to.

Opinion should be challenged i agree. But, sometimes it goes a bit far would you not agree? To remain polite, is a example of how we can work together as a team. There is no need for impoliteness wrt this...

port Melbourne itself has no great shopping... but go a little outside - then yes. I thought this was what W was referring to. Didn't W say she saw them & heard them in Melb?
