You can just imagine how Jubes and the strike force feel, can't you? Knowing what they know, seeing what they see ... and not being able to gain that last piece of proof that will put someone away for this crime.

I don't know how the person who knows who did this crime lives with themselves each and every day. It is a pretty horrendous thing for a little, innocent child to be taken, and have someone be content to cover up this crime and not tell what they know.

And my initial point was whether the estranged mother whose children were in kinship care with Speddings who had made contact with FACS re concerns about Spedding was the same person who had contaced Police and what the timeline was for each contact. And whether that estranged mother's surname began with B.

There was a photo in media showing Spedding cradling a very young child dressed in pink where does that child fit in? Is this one of the estranged mothers children?

I dont believe whoever it was that saw pic of spedding van at fgms was the one who contacted police because it is hard to believe police would not act for 4 months before raiding properties. spedding said he returned on 18 sep to fix machine.

As soon as police got speddings name they would have acted due to historic connection to Hillsley. Interesting DCI Jubelin had charged Hillsley and then when Speddings name came up DCI was put in charge of Wiliams case Jan 2015.

He may well be stuck down wrong rabbit warren. DCI would have known Hillsley Spedding historic connection so too others from historic records on file.

DCI's recent failed attempt to have Spedding convicted of historic charges for alleged offences is not a good look. Did the previous conviction attempts involve Jubelin?

I dont consider Spedding was involved.

There is a woman with surname B initially from Wellington whose 3 children are in care and B is directly linked to Loweke.

Dont know current place B lived at time of Williams abduction.

Could she be woman with walls covered in photos?

If she is and her connection to Loweke that could bring either of them into being responsible for contacting facs and police anonymously. Loweke closely connected to Jones and Jones charged with child sex offenses not long after William's disappearance.

The Spedding dob-in may well be the perfect red herring engulfed in a perfect smokescreen to take investigation away from Jones.

Then Loweke connects with Natalie Collins after William's disappearance, Williams bio paternal gm to keep ears on investigation even using Natalie as a patsy in Loweke's application for a 3br state house. Natalie said she had no idea that had occurred.

Loweke is a pretty cunning web weaver.

And Loweke was connected to Wellington as well.

Could William and perhaps his sister have been targetted to become a replacement family for someone whose children had been removed by FACS? is the case really about pedophile involvement or is it about a woman craving replacement children and taken a step into the abyss.

Spedding is alleged to have inflicted the abuse in April and May, 1987. Part of the police case against Spedding is a series of formal statements made by adults who know him.

I think that if it was my child/ren who had been the subject of alleged abuse by this man, or if I was a victim of his alleged abuse myself, I would be on the phone to Crime Stoppers pretty quickly, too.

3 year old boy is missing from a house that Spedding was supposed to attend that day (according to his son, Rodney) .... and previous 3 year old alleged victim in 1987. That would have my skin crawling and my hinky meter firing up all the way. I would want to pass along my knowledge right away.

Thanks for the reminder about the shirt blocking the pipe. That has always interested me quite a bit, and I would love to know more details about it.

I can't imagine that the plumber would have reported it if it was a blue shirt or a green shirt or a larger sized shirt. He must have seen some distinct correlation between the shirt and what William was known to have been wearing that day. imo

Could have been the final nail that allowed a warrant for an authorised and intensive search of all Spedding's properties. Unfortunately, it could have been a few months too late for much evidence to still be present.

Yes, DNA in water can last as short as a few days, and even less when contaminated with certain enzymes.

DNA is vulnerable. It breaks down in sunlight and water, and there are enzymes that naturally destroy it.

I have often wondered if the shirt was a souvenir. If Spedding tried to jam it down into the septic system himself at a later date, or if another adult in the house stumbled on it and tried to dispose of it into the sewerage contained in the septic system.

External access to the septic system would have been very heavy to lift, and could have been in view of several neighbours.

Maybe that’s what the police search of BS’ ‘burn pile’ was all about. Looking for the t-shirt or remnants of it.

Not so O/T, soso. With all the accusations of the police being unfairly 'out to get' someone in this case, and the insinuations that they must not be so good if they haven't charged anyone yet.

Right from the start we have seen the worry and concern on all of their faces ... Fehon, Jubelin, the dedicated search parties ... the all-in efforts ... the reward offer. They do their damndest for the victims, to support them, and find their loved one. I personally applaud their efforts.

Does anyone know when this layout of the complete clothing that William was wearing was published? I have been looking all over Google for it, but I can't find it. Can only find pics of the spiderman suit with its Made in Indonesia label, and another shot of Jubelin holding that suit in a media appearance.

Just curious as to whether it was published prior to the plumber's call (potentially) and the massive search of Spedding's properties ... if the plumber remembered a shirt exactly like the one shown, or just remembered a deteriorated, small child's (perhaps Spiderman) t-shirt.

And sadly some missing child cases are never solved, as i am still following them on WS from years ago. If WT's case is ever solved remains to be seen, but i hope it is and the right person/s convicted.

I asked the other day if WT's case was the only one of a very young child missing while in foster care in Australia? I did google that topic and didn't find anything in Australia.
But from the Charley Project in the U.S.A. i found these cases involving very young foster children and the circumstances surrounding their being missing.
