Could be from a car being towed there by rope? Although, it doesn't seem to be burned, as it would be if the car was burned after being towed there.

Queensland? Is he allowed to leave the state ... for anonymity? Perhaps he is, as long as he keeps the police informed of his whereabouts.

Oh, I see the link is still there on the ACA FB page. Maybe the link address changed - it was just reposted by them 2 mins ago.
