Happy New Year.

[btw IMO the matters are unrelated. Linking them is simply another one of the many conspiracy theories mooted wrt William’s abduction.]

So ... did Spedding forget to tell police that he went to Buzz Cafe for a coffee? And/or that he went to the assembly? And/or that he paid for coffee by card?
His 10 page recorded interview was 'soon after' William disappeared.

Instead, at that “crucial time” when William went missing, the Speddings were sitting at the Buzz Cafe in Laurieton, 10km from Kendall, according to Mr Youngberry.

“They have got proof that they were at the cafe because he paid for the coffees by card,” he said.

Mr Spedding and his wife then attended a presentation across the road at Laurieton Primary School, where one of the grandchildren was receiving an award.

Investigators were not aware of this detail before they questioned Mr Spedding this week, Mr Youngberry said.

“But I’ve downloaded the receipt and he (Mr Spedding) has now got it in his hot little hand,” he said.

Come to think of it, this one little line may have just answered my question on why the massive searches were done 4 months after William disappeared.
A big change of story? A change that didn't match with something the police already knew?

Investigators were not aware of this detail before they questioned Mr Spedding this week, Mr Youngberry said.

agree completely!!
I also recall BS watching the news and stating hey!? I know that house ? Or something along those lines?
The thing is, it would’ve been all over the radio, that a child was missing!!

I agree. Unless he was with Spedding on that day at the relevant times, he would have nothing useful to add that was not just hearsay.

But .... if Col's wife (Margaret's cousin) was the friend who supposedly went to the assembly with Margaret, the friend who was taking photos ... she may be required at the inquest, I would think.
Whoever that woman is, she would need to be questioned as to the accuracy of the morning's activities and who was present.
Apparently BS and MS couldn’t remember where they were that day. Only remembering after seeing the receipt. Tbh that could’ve been either one of them buying the coffee.

Do you think Margaret would have had to give a statement .. or two .. or three? She wasn't the one who was going to do the repairwork, but she is Spedding's most critical 'witness'.
Yes, I think she will be called to inquest too. BS is in a hard position. Lol
He’s trying to prove to MS that he had nothing to do with the WT disappearance.
So if he chooses to envoke 57s and not go, it leaves doubt in MS mind why he wouldn’t want to clear it up.
If he does go and the police have evidence contradicting he’s movements & what MS has said, then he will get he’s wife in legal trouble. Either way he won’t be in the good books with he’s wife.

It will be interesting to see what MS says about BS demeanour when he returned home that day. Did he act out of character? Perhaps he went outside to the fire pit ? Or washed he’s clothing. MS may not of noticed she was playing fb games that night.

I think she will say whatever BS tells her to say. A perfectly normal night in the spedding house IMOO

Only if she tells the truth.

Can I ask how you know this - that they couldn't remember where they were that day? I haven't seen that anywhere.

And there are plenty of articles out there saying that they had coffee before the school assembly.
The bank statement is said to show that the card was used at the cafe around 10am,Im wondering if they paid for the coffee on arrival or as they were leaving.

And as normal with media reporters one gets something incorrect they all follow like lost sheep and rarely front up with corrections.

It’s hear say!! So not 100% reliable unfortunately. The source that relaid it said it with conviction though!! Whom I trust

I thought we only dealt with facts from MSM and reliable sources. Rumors and hearsay really aren't permitted.

Due to the time lapse when they were asked for their alibi, BS could only remember when going through bank statements.

Do you have a link for any of this information? TIA
We can only discuss linkable information here.
