Just wondering does anyone know if the two cars that were spotted on the morning of Williams disappearance were outside Paul Savages house or someone elses? Maybe a reason he was called as witness to inquest.

"Police have also appealed for information about two cars — described as a dark grey old-model, medium-size sedan and an old white station wagon — that were parked opposite the house on the day William disappeared."

Mother's triple-0 call released in search for 3yo William Tyrrell

"74-year-old widower Paul Savage, "who lived across the road from the property where William disappeared more than four years ago."

Tyrrell witness ‘doesn’t know’ why inquest called on him
I thought the cars were further along, at the boundary between PS's neighbour and the next neighbour. Because you can see that's where the fence starts. More or less opposite the boundary between grandmother's place and the Wilsons.

Yes, the cars were further down from Mr Savage's house. About 1½ houses down .. at the far end of the property next door to his.
Sort of where I have drawn the red mark on the road in this pic.

Easily visible to him, though, if he went for his morning walk that morning.

Also easily visible to him would have been any other vehicle on the street, or pulling away down the street, if he was walking at that time of the morning (like the 4WD .. or someone else's van/car).
They have a great view straight down the road from the top of the street (according to Google maps).

That is a strange statement from NC.

IMO it can be interpreted to say he wasn't happy being with his bio father and family and wanted to be with who he called dad, meaning his FF.

Also, little children often want to say the 'right' thing, and please the person they are with.
"Would you rather be here with your daddy (Brendan)?"
"Yeah ... (making googly shy eyes)"
"Are you happier here?"
"Yeah ... (making googly shy eyes)"

My little nephew used to cry and reach back for me when his mum and dad came to pick him up after I had him for an overnighter.
He'd just had such a great time at our place. But it was only momentary, soon he was back to his happy self with his parents.

If Brendan, Natalie & co gave William lollies and Maccca's and other forbidden fruit, bought him toys and played with him all day, of course he would say (temporarily) that he wants to be with his daddy (Brendan).
It is sort of the 'golden dad/mum' syndrome. While someone(s) else takes care of the daily responsibilities and daily good, loving care.

William Tyrrell’s birth parents hid him two years before he vanished
^^ Source as already mentioned

Natalie said that after William was finally removed from Brendan and Karlie’s care, the pair had infrequent visiting rights and could only see him at a public shopping centre near Ryde.
“Karlie and Brendan could see William for one hour every seven or eight weeks at the Macquarie Centre,” Natalie said.
“The last time they saw him, William yelled: ‘Daddy, Daddy, Daddy’ and jumped out of the pram like a kangaroo.
“William loved his dad. There was a real bond.”

No doubt, WT's bio dad was meant by NC, IMO.
-.-
SouthAussie, you are right, IMO, when you are of the opinion, the visiting (bio) parents are also (not only) loved for their little gifts and their relaxed playful dealing with a child, they don't have to educate and to care for.

He asked for Batar Creek Rd., AFAIK, and I just coincidentally saw, that
https://mensshed.org/profile/AMSA100644/
has an address, which would fit. It would make a lot of sense, if the man in town asked for this address (without us here on WS knowing it). It's a meeting point for local men (and their friends, I think), where things are getting repaired etc.
I sleuthed the men's shed 'meeting times' sometime back - on that week they met on the Thursday, but who knows if it's open at other times? Interestingly, if you miss the turn off to the mens shed, you have to go to Benaroon to turn around as it's the first available spot & the road is quite narrow there.

Thanks, iailwa! I've been wondering whether someone might have turned into Benaroon Drive by mistake.

It looks like there are quite a lot of reasons someone might want to go to the Showground. This article talking about the 70th annual Show (in 2018) says:
..."the Kendall Showground is home to the annual Camden Haven Show, as well as regular equestrian events, Camden Haven Pony Club, Kendall Men’s Shed, Camden Haven Boxing Team, Kendall Blues Football Club, Kendall Creative Workshop for young people, Kendall RDA, Kendall Markets and many, many other functions and events"...

But also, the Showground is or was used for camping. There are photos of the camping area from 2009 and 2015, and a poster with Dec 2017 in the URL.

Was that report about the man asking for directions to that road ever specified exactly when it occurred, ie date/time?

A few conflicting reports on that one. I read he asled directions at a shop in Kendall to Batar Creek road, also read he was asking directions from a shop in Kew for directions to Benaroon ?

Missing William Tyrell, 3, 'picked up by a car' police now believe | Daily Mail Online
Police are still investigating a number of tips, including reports that a 'well-dressed, well-spoken' man stopped at a local shop on Friday morning to ask directions to Batar Creek Road, which leads to Benaroon Drive where William was last seen.
Had to be Kendall, IMO.

I watched Ron Iddles programme today, the first episode. What a beautiful man who really showed his emotion . I wonder what he thinks of Williams case . He has a 99 % conviction record or something along those lines. Him and Jubelin seem similar to me.

Refreshing memories:
Timeline follows disappearance of William Tyrrell
One of the many timelines ....
excerpt:
February 19, 2015
NSW Police investigating the case asked for anyone within a kilometre of the area on the day William disappeared to come forward.
Re the "anyone within 1 kilometre":
This might be obvious to everyone else but for me it came as a shock: The one thing we know for sure about William's disappearance is that, if he was abducted, the offender(s) had to get close enough to physically move him somewhere else. So, if police have managed to round up everyone who was within 1 kilometre, then somewhere in that group will be the offender(s).

Did anyone discover if Derek Nichols was in any way related to Sue and Jacob Nichols? I found that whole article quite bizarre, especially the part about asking KT to stay at their country NSW home: Shock claim about William Tyrrell

I just bolded the title of said Article. I also find it (perhaps other than Bizarre!) strange, confusing .. perhaps even total BS. .
* why has it taken this long for her to come out with this story of the 'relationship' between her Son & Karlie
* she suggests her Son may be William's father, but then utters this garbage '"I hope he is. If it was my grandchild, I'd be out on the road looking for him" ... well then, IMO, why isn't she ??
* she talks of children being raised in the outback communities - and suggests William is there, but hasn't IMO done anything to return him to his familiar place with his family.

I so so hope I'm wrong, as I'd so love to know that Wilism is safe & well, but currently I'm labelling this as 'journalistic sensatalism' .... IMO

Oh so true SA.. these tiny minds are so easily influenced.

The timings are very interesting to me just to get a feel of the unfolding of events

"The mother had this haunted look on her face," Ms Heslop would later tell Australian Women's Weekly.

Ms Heslop called to her children out back, but they hadn't seen another kid. It was 11.30am.

I remember the time given in this article when it was published and wondering about it.

Can't find the other 2 links but it seems to me that the FM went to AMS's place cause she wondered if WT was attracted to the swing set in her yard <rsbm>
It sure would be good to have a factual timeline. I can only help with the "11:30" bit:
The neighbour LH was one of the people interviewed in a Sunday/Daily Telegraph podcast in 2015, and she does say clearly that the knock on the door by AMS and William's FM came at 11:30 am.

Podcast on Richie Swan's YouTube channel or in the Sunday/Daily Telegraph, Toddler William Tyrrell's disappearance still haunts Kendall residents almost a year later, 06 Sep 2015. The LH section starts with the reporter at 5:24.

I only did a quick search for a report about AMS's swing set and couldn't find one, but I'm wondering if it might be inaccurate. I think William would only be able to see playground equipment if it was in a front yard or not hidden behind trees, and that's not the situation at the location where I'm guessing AMS lived. (But if William did know about swings which are out of sight - because he'd been there before, say - that would make it easier to imagine him running down the hill at FGM's.)

I know it is in the FM's own words in either a Chris Smith radio interview or on the 60 minutes interview. MOO

I do remember hearing or maybe reading something about swings, or some sort of playground stuff. I just listened to a Chris Smith/2GB interview from September 2015, but it wasn't mentioned in that.
