She told the court that William had been “getting very bored” just before he vanished and they were waiting for his foster father to return from the nearby town of Laurieton.

She had been expecting her husband to return from a visit to the chemist and a telephone conference meeting between 10.15am and 10.30am that morning.

“William’s sister was still drawing,” she said.

“He was getting very bored with the game. He was running up and down.

“I said to William (and his sister) ‘you know what? Why don’t we go down and see if Daddy’s car is here yet’.”

When William vanished she embarked on a frantic search before her husband arrived home, sometime after 10.30am.

After running to his car in the driveway, the foster mother said she asked her husband, “is William with you?”

“And he looked at me and said ‘why would he be with you’,” she told the court.

“I said ‘he’s missing’ and he said ‘what do you mean he’s missing’.

“And I said ‘I can’t find him, he’s gone’.”.....

Haunting 000 call as William vanished

There is a media article link posted up thread that gives conflicting information to the above tweet.
Ughh, blinkin Journalists eh. Wish they'd get their facts straight!

No you are not gaga and yes I understand your confusion.
I just do not recall it ever being said it was Mr Wilson (though it could have been)
I am just thinking it would be someone that had a pool net handy.
ok so he sounds like maybe he is setting his own scene

She said she was waiting for the txt to take them down, I don't think she said she did.

But as Bohemian pointed out several hours ago, the press is saying someone previously unidentified as a POI will be watched closely in the second part of the Inquest. So although many neighbours have been publicly identified in MSM, I do not believe any of them have previously been "discussed by detectives or known to be the focus of the investiation". This unidentified man is obviously 'of interest' to police, since it is said the person will be watched closely, and is in fact, "expected to be the focus". MSM is not at liberty to 'label' that person as a POI in the case. The unidentified person could be anyone, including a neighbour (or anyone else). imo.

"When a coronial inquest into the disappearance and suspected death of William Tyrrell starts tomorrow, one person is expected to be the focus.

The Sun-Herald and The Sunday Age understand that the inquest will zero in on one particular man, who has never been publicly discussed by detectives or known to be the focus of the investigation."

Far too much contradiction for anything to be trusted as being accurate. Very unprofessional. Tweet journos appear to be very selective what they are putting out which may be preventing the full story from being made public yet again.

Thankyou for your dedication.

What they are doing is cross referencing every ones recall of what they observed about everyones actions on the day. Nothing more or nothing less imo can be gained from continual reference to one person until the facts are known as far as I can make out.

Okay, so has the inquest finished for the day

They're finished already? They just had lunch, good grief!

I agree--it's very hard to follow when there's so many different versions being posted..hard to know exactly what is going on. Really wish there were transcripts we could read!

Nevertheless, thank you. I'll be here tomorrow too :D

ETA: Oops, it was a question re finished yet! I certainly hope they've not finished. Like I said, they've just finished lunch lol.

Everybody just ignore me, I'm all over the place as per usual! :-

Thanx sweet bear so it was Mr S mowing the lawn.
The pool Net....I remember earlier google maps showing he has no pool but it now appears he does.
My initial thought was him mowing. but then it was reported it was Shannon further down. Aughhh.
In looking at those neighbourhood maps which were posted years ago, it seems that PS and another neighbour a few down from him both had pools.. could've been either one (with the pool net?)?
Not sure how we knew back then, that it was PS that had been mowing?? I don't remember knowing that at the time!!
Sorry I am soooo far behind already, I will *never* catch up!!!!!!!

  • #356
i think that matches the
I have always wondered if it was lawn mower mans wife that headed out at 26 or 28 to 11 and he started the ride on when she left.
10.30 missing time and she missed car going out, gosh everything is being missed by minutes in a very busy street

3 days in and really nothing notable . Besides the interest in Paul Savage

He penny is dropping that so many people have moved but he is still there.
It’s beyond a coincidence now.

  • #359
and what time did he start mowing the lawn, would anyone know that ? as in no birds no wind
I'm a few pages behind, so excuse me if this has been covered. LH saw lawn-mower-man as she returned from shopping at 10:30-10:35, and said that she waved to him. But when AMS first began looking for William, walking up and down the street, AMS didn't see him. She did see him as the first police car arrived, which would have been 11:05. At that time he asked what all the fuss was about.

So, a few odd things there. Why didn't FM hear the lawn mower directly after William vanished? Where was lawn-mower-man when AMS was first searching, given that he was on his mower a short time before and also after? Why did he have to ask AMS what was going on, when several neighbours were hunting and FF had been doing laps of the street?

Could be anyone, except that the newspaper that had that 'scoop' said it was a 'man', and that it is a person "who has never been ... known to be the focus of the investigation.""
(That is of course, *assuming* the paper got it right though!!)
https://www.smh.com.au/national/where-s-william-the-coroner-hopes-to-find-out-20190322-p516nm.html

There are so many contradictions and bits of totally incorrect reporting who really knows until all is revealed.

The author of article also wrote...never publicly discussed by detectives. As far as I know detectives have never publicly discussed any particular person. They have gone to great lengths not to. It is the media who have publicly discussed socalled persons of interest.
