i know its only early days but after hearing all these people speak does anyone have a clearer feeling what happened to william?
Hard to say as haven’t heard all the evidence against spedding and co yet . Definately seems quite some focus on Paul savages demeanour and movements that day

I thought it might have been another of her sons. But didn't he also refuse to go to work that day?

Perhaps she got the idea from the phone call he didn't remember.

The court heard William’s biological grandmother told police the biological father called her that morning and said “something doesn’t feel right” and he wasn’t going to work. He says he doesn’t remember the conversation.

I'd love to know whether it was a regular occurrence to play loud radio in someone's house. perhaps he or his wife were a little hard of hearing - or was it an anomaly?
And who said they were playing loud radio? One of the Savages as an explanation for not hearing something (cars?)? Peter-next-door (because why?)?

Senior Constable Christopher Rowley arrived at 11.06am, 10 minutes after William's foster mother frantically called police to report him missing.
Counsel assisting the coroner, Gerard Craddock SC, asked: "(You) canvassed local businesses to see if anyone expressed any interest in Benaroon Drive, and I think you identified at a cafe a person who could recall someone asking for directions?"
"Yes," the officer replied
Sen Const Rowley searched the family property when he got to the scene and asked another officer to do the same when he arrived
His initial search did not include the roof space or the garage.
"I would've tried to do it but it was either locked or too heavy for a young child to lift himself," the senior constable said.
William Tyrrell Inquest: Police officer said mystery person asked for directions to Grandmother’s street

i thought they discounted the stranger asking for directions?
wish he'd checked the garage!

No, surely she described the person going to sit outside and being gloomy and uncommunicative. Perhaps BC spoke to the other person on the phone as well as NC and the mood spread.

I wonder if BC often didn't go to work because he didn't feel like it. If it happened regularly due to depression or something, not so strange. Otherwise rather a coincidence. Apparently he also didn't phone anyone to say he wasn't coming in, or did he just mean no phone calls later in the day? But he can't remember the NC call either?

AMS was asked whether PS was playing loud radio when she knocked on his door at 11:30; she said not that she noticed. (AMS didn't notice a lot of things which may or may not have been the case. Perhaps she's unobservant?) Who said that PS was playing loud radio? The question seems to have come out of nowhere. Or do you remember someone actually saying they heard the radio?

Yes. I remember her saying that the person went outside to sit in her backyard. Funny, bio father can"t remember receiving any phone calls that day and BS deleting his call log. Just saying.

Is there some sources for this - about the gloomy person - from earlier? I missed it.. I can search tho. Can you remember when abouts? sorry. that's a long call - was it ages back?

I thought there was something specific today abut it being not of interest? Maybe my imagination... :)

I thought the stranger asking for directions was for Batar Creek Road? Not Benaroon Dr? And yes it was supposedly ruled out?
