It is a jailable offence! It really does matter.

Yes, it definitely matters legally, but philosophically I think openness about William's family would have been more helpful to finding out what happened to him than obscurity. Does privacy by obscurity really work these days? Everyone who wanted to know who were in his foster and bio families were easily able to without the MSM's help anyway. It's probably time those laws were reevaluated in light of changing technology.

William’s foster father tells the court his first instict was to follow the “path of least resistance” in searching for William. He said he was worried about him going towards the scrubland. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

The court is again being shown a taped video interview with the foster father at the scene where he walks an investigator through his initial movements. He says William did “tend to know some of his limitations”, including his asthma. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Incredible detail. This statement must have been made out on 1st day before her recall. Police normally would sit down and discuss the day 1st before a statement is made out and still no recall. No recall with 000 operator. No recall even though in one of the previous documentaries she said when the 1st local officer arrived on scene she was positioned where the 2 cars were and no recall then. Its obvious the foster mother was totally flooded with other thoughts and emotions and completely overawed that terrible terrible day.

An 'Ltd' vehicle. They are not that common back then were they? Noisy V8 engine?

Yes, I can understand her being flooded with other thoughts & emotions - I can remember how I used to feel if one of my children ducked out of sight in a store, for a minute or so. This poor woman was overwhelmed with her child disappearing & she had the sister there as well to worry about. Police asking questions, neighbours saying one thing & another, searching. It would have taken a few days for the fog to lift.

Whe AMS gasve evidence that when she was 1st talking to the FM she could heara male voice calling out for WT already around the back of theFGM's house. I did not hear the beginning of the FM's evidence but it seems a male neighbor 1st helped to search, but I can't figure out who it was absolutely.
i think the neighbour said they could see and hear the ff running around calling out, maybe that was later on? ill see if i can find it

He says he ran into a neighbour and told them “I’ve lost my little boy”, prompting them to join the search. @10Daily @10NewsFirst

Yes deugirtni my question was about the teal vehicle. In my mind I imagine the NSW registered vehicles could be narrowed down by postcode. I could be wrong though and if the vehicle is not from the local area then it would be a mistake to narrow the search. Still with the numbers of LTD's it wouldn't be an impossible task and does seem the police have found the vehicle. Brilliant work by the task force.

That is exactly what I meant. I know it is the "law" but in this case the law is an 🤬🤬🤬 and has been IMO very detrimental.

Looks like the Coroner is going to stand strong with her orders. That's a good thing IMO.

Non publication is also required by legislation linked to FACS/FOSTER children. Have there been any suppression orders issued and advised by the Coroner?

I took as it may have been an initial plan for the foster family to go out together then that plan changed to foster father going out alone.
I took it as this was the reason they drove up the day earlier. So he didn't have to make his conference call from the car on the way up, on the Friday.

I first thought the same thing, but upon rereading several times, I am now understanding that police 'identified the vehicle' (meaning manufacture/model/perhaps year?), but haven't been able to produce a drawing of the large man with the likeness the FM described. I think they only ID'd the vehicle type, but not the actual vehicle driven that day. Just my interpretation though, after relooking.

"The foster mother said that the police had since identified the car.

“I did have pretty intense reaction,” she said, her voice breaking.

But in terms of the person … the image we ended up with is not the man.”"

The laws of the land must be obeyed. Name and photo suppression is there for a reason.

I’ve notice some articles from Germany might be translated and include ‘different’ wording.

It came from our Websleuther ‘From Germany’.
It is the same article I had posted just a few up from FG's.

But I think absolute accuracy should be the norm when reporters are sitting and hearing matters live!

Apparently not... but should be you'd think!

I feel that you wouldn't have such a strong reaction to see the make of car. I think it was the actual car. She said the police identified "the car" not the make of car.

I think this is the Wilson's. I posted a link yesterday.
I remember Mrs. Wilson quoted as saying she had left around 9am. (Same approx time as FD, as it turns out.)

It might not have been issue - but they have another child - who deserves anonymity...

I didn't at first realise you wrote "not" common. It seems very familiar to me - the colour, in older cars. I don't know if there's anyway to check....?

Is it the kind of vehicle a person allegedly planning to be involved in a child abduction would drive? Not in my mind. They are normally noisy and standout to be identified due to size and brand recognition.
