Identified does not necessarily mean they had all been able to establish their confirmed whereabouts at the critical time though?

Id love to know where Mr Wilson was and what time did he leave after his wife.
He pinpointed the time Mrs W left but in an article I read Mrs w said she was not home and my husband was not home.
It was Mrs W in an article said she’d heard the children playing next door.

I can’t find the article that states this now.

The video shows the carer describing to police how she drove to a busy nearby road in Kendall, on the New South Wales north coast, as part of her search.

I've pulled over because I've just got my head out the window looking for William,' she tells the officer.

'I drive really slow… I get to the riding school and I just think 'he's not here'.

'And then I bring the car back up and I run out and look for him again.'

Mrs Wilson says in the above article posted I wasn't home my husband wasn't home.

A Benaroon Drive resident said his wife drove out of the street, which William's grandmother no longer lives in, one minute before William disappeared.

It was 26 or 28 minutes to 11am, he remembered with minute detail.

"She never saw a car or noticed anything strange," he said.

The man spent the next day with a pool net in hand searching through a dam and waterholes, anxious about what he might find.

I'm not sure.. because if she saw a photograph of the same model in the same color, she may very well have the same reaction.. how would she be able to tell whether that was or was not the 'same'/actual car? But if police *were* able to track down that actual car (like say if it was the postie driving that car that day, or something, or someone who came forward like they were supposed to, and said, hey I was in that neighbourhood that day.. blah blah), that is great, but then they wouldn't still need to be doing drawings.. because knowing the actual vehicle, would also give the actual driver, wouldn't it?

my initial thoughts too - just the vehicle type identified? If they found the actual vehicle then i'm sure they could find out from the owner who the red hair man is, & the photofit isn't then needed.

But then again - how could they not find the vehicle? And the driver that day? Maybe they have found him & we won't know until august (unless they gives us hints about who is actually coming in aug).

Maybe he's the unidentified male?

I often wonder how 'controlled' the search was on the first day, after a FB call out.

There would have been a number of cars coming and going during the initial period, did Police watch all cars?

The FB plea would’ve bought so many cars from Kendall and surrounds into the street.
From the description it sounded like a hundred or so.

Yes it does matter! The coroner is very serious & has spoken about this everyday & very forcefully. There was less media cameras out front in thus break after her opening statement today......honestly they are very intrusive

Anyone who wants to find out someone's identity can easily do it these days though. Covering up identities in this case hasn't been helpful with at all. The law needs to move with the times and accept that people can find things out without names even being published.


Yup, and we all know her name. Everyone who has any interest in the case knows her name. And it's not because of the MSM.

I'm not saying there needs to be some kind of blanket publicity of foster kids but in *this case* finding William should have been the priority over protecting the identity of a kid that everyone with even a small interest in the case could have found anyway (without reading a single MSM article). The law needs to move with the times.

eta I feel the same about the journos being prosecuted for naming Pell before they should have. We all just went and read US or UK sites to find out who it was. It was on the Internet within moments of the first verdict. The law just refuses to accept the reality of the Internet - you can't hide anything.

I'm fine with WT's name being protected, and the bios because it is somewhat of a stigma (imho) if your child(ren) might be in fostercare, however W's name has been out of the bag since day#1. The bio parents' other 2 children's parents' names and surnames are also out of the bag, and in fact so is W's sister's surname. It is the people entrusted with his care at the time of his unfortunate disappearance who remain anonymous.. just seems way backwards to me. jmo.

The man who pinpointed the time his wife left the neighborhood, I do not believe it was Mr. Wilson. I think as far as I know, that he remains unidentified. jmo. I do know the article you refer to, and yes, I'm hoping she will appear at this inquest as well, as all the neighbours really should? imo.

But recent media reports say an unidentified person is of interest. All residents living in Benaroon Drive at the time were identified. My initial reply was to a question posed about who may be responsible ...neighbour or blow in.

When it was first reported we all took it to be Mr Wilson. Perhaps it really did say Mr Wilson once and then was changed. It doesn't make sense that it was Mr Wilson who said that. So either his story doesn't make sense, or it was a media mixup, or we misinterpreted the report.
