Let’s not forget GJ strenuously denies these allegations. Many were condemned on here for pointing blame on BS before a court case or conviction. Surely GJ should be afforded the same

Thank you TBL. Innocent until proven guilty.

It may well have been very hard for more than 10 police staff to come forward and make this complaint against someone they most likely have a lot of respect and admiration for. They may well have feared that his methods as the case had been dragging on was going to jeopardise the investigation at some point and cared more about doing everything to secure the safety of an outcome for WT, than one person's highly respected reputation. It may well have been a very stressful choice for those concerned.

Warrants are the difference between being able to convict someone or having evidence that they did something and watching them roaming freely on the street. CCTV does not record sound. If the only thing they had in the AC case was that recording without a warrant those animals would have walked free. A court would have to throw that recording as evidence out.
Would the coroner be able to use her discretion in regards to the recording ? Genuine question. Is there ever an exception to the rule ?

My goodness! I guess there must be a strong reason in your own mind why this podcast should not be linked or spoken of on WS.

It is obvious that the podcast is produced by Channel 10, and they have verbally listed their producers and station participants at the end of the podcast.

The mediums they are using to air this podcast do not produce their own material. The mediums are the same as using a CD player or a BluRay player .. they are a device to use to play published material.

William Tyrrell’s foster parents have given an unprecedented exclusive interview with 10 News First as part of a ground-breaking podcast investigation which launches today.
Harris, who is behind the podcast, said she has gotten to know the family well over the past four and a half years, having been one of the first journalists on the scene when he disappeared. She has covered it ever since.
The ground-breaking podcast, researched, written and presented by Harris in conversation with 10 News First presenter Natarsha Belling ....

Listen to the story on Acast, Itunes and Spotify.

No, I think you overthink my motivations in my posts a lot by how you respond to them. Just didn't see ten play. thanks

Okay. Tenplay is evident in the very first link that RubyHill put up. The one that included all of the mediums to hear the podcast on.
I was shocked that you would think of asking a mod if Tenplay was MSM, is all.

I don't know what the coroner can accept. Yes there are exceptions, someone cited one earlier of a victim using a recording device whilst being attacked. That's one example I can think of.

Fabulous question TBL those recording might be gold for the coroner.
They just might show who took William & that’s all we want eh?

And it may well NOT have been the case. There are many reasons for Junior officers, who respect and admire their Commanding Officer, to report when they would rather not. Pressure from above is one. Think about it.

All My Opinion

Funny you say that, tbl, the headline in the Daily Telegraph’s op-ed piece on the weekend was ‘Cops are chasing the wrong guy’.

View attachment 190286

Makes you wonder about the timing of the charges and how much they are detracting from William’s case.

Hmmm gee which cop made the decision to chase the wrong guy for 4 years.

The recording in Parramatta is the one that is interesting to me.

Would they bring a POI from the Kendall area to interview them at Parramatta or would they interview at the local station, where presumably SFR are operating from?

Or was it a meeting of SFR that was recorded in the normal process of taking notes for a meeting?

From what I can tell, only one MSM source has spoken about the 10 police staff, none of the others. There are 4 charges under the Surveillance Act, if they had 10 staff complain, wouldn't there be 10 charges? Or would the charges be different? No charges re falsifying affidavits either at this point, or any other charges bar the Surveillance charges.

Reports in the media indicated 10 junior officers were instructed by Jubelin to record without warrant. I would say those instances have been discovered by the investigation team cross referencing everything that had occurred in the Tyrrell investigation to ensure the case file is squeaky clean and events that required a warrant were done under warrant.

A commanding officer instructing junior officers to conduct themselves outside the law puts themself in a difficult situation.

I wonder is it the same recording...a phone call, one person at Parramatta and the other at Kendall?

A well known and documented alleged POI was living in Sydney for a time. Perhaps the recording occurred at this time.

If that was the case, wouldn't it be only one charge? Then we have 4 charges re the Surveillance Act, so I wonder what the others are.
