BBM: If that dispute about the correct propagation of flowers is not why Mr Chapman did not approach police on the day that William went missing, at the very moment that he heard a 3 year old boy was missing from Benaroon Drive, then what the heck was his reason for not rushing up to Benaroon Drive and approaching the police who were already
Possible links between a witness who testified and Ole Col via the same dart league. It has made us wonder about other community-based links, and if those links have affected any testimony.

ETA: This was discovered by an astute WSer. If you do a search on 'darts' in the previous thread you will find the whole convo :)
Thanks

Was there anyone from here in the courtroom when the seemingly swift decision was made to defer to March 2020?

I'm just wondering if there was a note passed to the judge or it was adjourned for a short break and it was after the break it was announced etc..

No we just heard the evidence from Cherry & than an announcement from Mr Craddock for the women driving the fawn 4wd to come forward to investigators & the coroner made a statement for the media to help in getting that info out to the public.

Mr Craddock than announced that the inquest would now be suspended until March 2020 where there would be another 2 weeks in Taree.

It seemed to take everyone by surprise, including Swift & O'Brien.

O'Brien than officially withdrew from the inquest, which the coroner accepted.

The coroner said there was a very good reason for suspending the inquest at this time& again noted everyone's frustration.

What does it mean that O’Brien officially withdrew? Does that mean he is not representing BS any longer?

Wait.... Didn't give his police statement until after 3 years when William went missing?

I thought it was like a year - more bad reporting?

No Cookies | The Weekly Times

NSW police took almost 1000 days to conduct a formal, recorded interview with the man who may be the only credible witness to the likely abduction of William Tyrrell..........

“Why didn’t you call the police?” Mr Craddock asked. “When you saw that thing on the news, why wasn’t your next action to pick up the phone and call the police? As you sit here today, are you in two minds?”

Mr Chapman replied: “I’m 100 per cent sure it was William in the back of the car … no doubt.”

He told the court he spoke to police in about March or April 2015, and again in 2016, but no formal interview was done until 2017. In that statement, he said he hadn’t come forward because he was worried that he’d get in trouble, or make trouble for police. “It just gave me that big a shock to think that something like that, William being taken, had happened in Kendall,” he said.

I can't believe police haven't already made a public request for this woman to come forward and clear herself. This boggles my mind.

And the poor foster family... could they have been hearing this for the first time???

I’m finding it hard to see a child standing up on the back seat with all the swerving and erratic driving.

William would have been taught to sit down and buckle up so I’m thinking he would have been, at least, sitting down and hanging on if not being thrown around in the back.

Just my thoughts.
There’s a few of those old fawn coloured boxy Land Cruisers around my way so now I’ll be rubbernecking them & wondering. This is freakin’ cruel for William’s loved ones.

It means he thinks there is no further need for him to be at the inquest ( He's been there everyday & I hate to think of the costs!!) .

Dr Sleuth,
Can I ask, do you think they had finished questioning KC when this announcement was made or was her time on the stand interrupted by the announcement?

Perhaps he was holding onto the handle above the door/window? Who knows.

i wonder if this sighting is the same as mr chapmans sighting?
Car drove 'crazily' day Tyrrell vanished
Car drove 'crazily' day Tyrrell vanished

Unfortunately bear I know people who would turn their heads and I’m sure some would literally step over someone laying on the pavement.

I’m disgusted and will be staying clear of the Port Macquarie area and they will never get my tourism dollars.

Chinese whispers?

Welcome GreatExpectations.:):):)
You may have posted at a good time, with 'great expectations' soon, due to recent happenings.

Thank you tmar! And yes, after yesterday's testimony and then the abrupt postponement of the Inquest, perhaps there is more reason to have great expectations.:) Truly hope so.

She was finished.

The car McInally saw was white, not fawn or blue. Besides he can't talk for five minutes without contradicting himself. He doesn't know why he remembered the car in 2018 and he can't remember half the conversation because he was drunk, but he assures the court that Mr Palmer's account of what he said is wrong.

I wonder if PS was involved in any community organisations. Did he play darts, go to the local?

We might have to go through some of those publications in the link that GreatExpectations provided.

The Chronicle, the forthnightly newsletter for Kendall

I've just quickly done a search on each of the newsletters for the name Savage, but no mention of either Mr or Mrs Savage in any of them. There was a mention of Mr Chapman addressing the Garden Club in the Nov 2015 newsletter, and a mention of the Kendall Post Office being nominated for a Camden Haven business award in the June 2014 newsletter.

Mountaingazer asked last thread:

"Anyone have a pale, blonde women who was in their late 20's or early 30's at the time, on their radar?"

It reminds me of the picture of BM in 2011, plump and pregnant, mostly blonde, hair screwed up behind. She would have been, what, early- to mid-twenties in 2014. Apparently she has an alibi. Events seem directed at Savage, but if they weren't, I might want to look at the alibi more closely.

I am wondering if the FGM late husband and Mr Chapman may have been old friends?
