William and his loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers today and everyday. I hope and pray justice comes in 2020.

Thank you to all of you for your dedication to William and his case.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Bring on 2020. Surely the Truth will be revealed & justice will prevail..

I wish I thought the same would happen but after 5 years I think they have no idea what happened to William.

I am not blaming the foster parents for William's disappearance at all, but I do not necessarily believe their timeline of events, and that is my right to have that opinion.

The FM could not remember how long William had been left unsupervised and she said this in the radio interview with Chris Smith and also to the 000 operator.

As a parent who has 'lost' her children in a crowded shopping centre I can assure you that I would not have been able to tell you how long they were 'lost' for. It could have been minutes, it felt like hours. I honestly could not tell you and I couldn't tell the security guards, either, at the time. In reality, it was probably around 10 minutes.

EXCLUSIVE

The mother of a man who has told friends he could be William Tyrrell's real father has revealed she believes the missing toddler is "alive … in an Aboriginal community in the outback".

Jacob Nichols, who was the boyfriend of XXXXX in the year before the 2011 birth of the toddler, is helping XXXXX get over her trauma about missing William.

There is a link for this however I'm unable to provide it as it mentions the names of the Bf, which is against TOS. However, it is all back in the thread for anyone who need corrorobation. Most posters would remember it. IMO

I am pretty sure most of us dismissed the veracity of the claims when it first came to light. It is not something I put much faith in as I believe the mother is out for a bit of attention, and it was never raised by police as an 'issue'. I wouldn't bother trying to rehash it, IMO, as it's a non-issue.

I don't know what you are saying.

The public had a right to know that William was a foster child and the couple who were reported to be his parents, were, in fact, his foster carers. The same goes for the grandmother.
I agree, the public does believe they have a 'right to know' but the law disagrees hence the silence. I have friends who foster and they would rather the children in their care were kept unnamed for their (the child's) own protection from the biological family. In this day of the internet it is often not hard to track down people who would prefer not be located.

Yes and unfortunately that seems to be the case in other missing child cases i have followed on WS as well. Social Media is on fire with accusations against those that have a missing child, and suspicion is always thrown their way. Perhaps because in about 97% of missing child cases it is those who were responsible for the child's welfare who are responsible for what has happened to the child. And i think all the secrecy & supression etc. in WT's case certainly hasn't helped to allay suspicion on SM of what this case could be about and the variety of theories that people sleuth about it in that regard. It has certainly been a crazy case IMO.

This has to be one of the most perplexing cases I have ever followed, Karinna. I think the age of social media has actually made it harder for police in many ways to conduct a fair investigation and subsequent trials. Unfortunately police always have to look at those close to the missing person first and foremost and work their way out there.

It's obvious how much William was loved by his bio parents.

It's a shame that authorities are so quick to tear families apart, when more money could be spent on supporting those families so that their children can stay with them...

I disagree with your assertion that "authorities are so quick to tear families apart". Please provide proof of this claim or back it up with 'IMO'.

Apart from the really bad fires in NSW, isn't a good part of the state in an ongoing drought as well for quite some time now? That certainly wouldn't help in regard to the bushfire risk if everything is so dry like a tinder box. Very sad and awful for the people affected, and i always feel sad for the wildlife that can't escape it as well.

It has been heartwarming to read the stories about the kindness and generosity of people who go out of their way to help others and wildlife, though. It restores my belief that people are fundamentally good at heart, despite the horrible things we hear about on sites like this.

It's tragic for those who have lost everything and for the poor wildlife. It's terrible to think that most of the fires were probably also deliberately lit.

I think there will be more to come in the new year, unfortunately. Very sad.

It is sad to think that the majority of them have been started by children/teenagers who will not face any consequences for their actions, either :(

I really hope this year there is a breakthrough. It has been such an awful case to follow. I think we can all agree that it would be a blessing for William to be found.

happy new year to everyone in this forum who puts so much of their time and effort into William and all of his loved ones :)

Welcome to the new year ( doesn't feel right to say happy new year when our beautiful county is in such a disaster atm )

Hoping this year will bring answers to all of William's families & loved ones .

How sad that our wildlife is now mimicking our emergency services :(

Also hoping any of our members & families down the South Coast are all safe.

Way to many lives have been lost already, with the threat no where near over.

There are so many "good" stories among the "horrific" ones .

More than 15,000 pieces of evidence have been collected over the five-year investigation. A $1 million reward remains in place for information leading to the return or recovery of William.

Information suggests someone in the community knows something and police are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the solicitors assisting the Coroner on 02 8346 1388.

The coronial inquest will resume in March 2020.

I just wanted to ask - what's your thoughts on TJ lately? I thought some may want to re-visit him? Theres been a few new POIs since - just as awful. I just wonder about his lies though...about what he was doing that day...sept 12

I'm so so sorry for the fires, as I know we all are - it's been such a terrible tragedy & some of us have lost homes - or know relatives/friends who have, and of course there's been lives lost & so much wildlife - it's just so freakin awful :( I'm glad there has been a thread created for the fires

Thinking about William too. Wondering what March will bring for him? Such a sad state of affairs here in Oz all round :(

So does anyone have ideas about TJ? Does anyone think he could NOT have been the one, for any reason?

I try and not think about him. He makes my skin crawl and I do not like to think of what he is up to. I am still in two minds about him, I think he is volatile and despicable enough to have had a hand in William's disappearance, but I do not think he is smart enough to have been a main player, that is, he is opportunistic and masterminded the whole thing. Still, something does not sit right with him in my mind.

Yeah I try not to think about him either, but can't help it. It will be good to see whether his alibi worked out. Was he doing both things - collecting metal & fixing hot water systems, pissed? We are yet to find out I guess. As far as his intelligence goes - I think his rap sheet speaks for itself - he often gets caught. Yet I think any psycho can get lucky, which is not so lucky for William & completely sux IMO - but luck might be in the perps favour in this case given the lack of witnesses
