When Mr Jubelin insisted that Mr Savage had seen the outfit a day earlier, Mr Savage asked why he would have waited a day to tell police.

"Because you're involved in the abduction of William Tyrrell," Mr Jubelin said.

"Rubbish," Mr Savage said.

"You've seen a Spider-Man suit the same as William Tyrrell's, and it confused you," Mr Jubelin said. "You look at it, and it confuses you, and you think 'what am I going to do, what am I going to do'."

I thought for a moment that might have been a police spy in a white top.

Mr Jubelin said Mr Savage was unaccounted for for two hours, which could have given him time to hide a body, and while others had been eliminated as persons of interest during the investigation "we can't eliminate you".

Mr Jubelin said Mr Savage's account of that morning, that he was searching bushland for 30 minutes on his own then returned home to have a cup of tea, is a lie.

"Why would I lie?" Mr Savage asked.

"You're covering up for Heather because there was an accident," Mr Jubelin said. "Heather might have run over William."

Mr Savage said if his wife had run over the three-year-old she would have "screamed the roof down".

"What if it wasn't Heather, what if it was you?" Mr Jubelin asked.

"There's no way in the world either one of us would hurt a child," Mr Savage said.

Red and blue rags. No white, no top.

I think that last answer is evasive. Jubelin has suggested PS accidentally ran over William and PS answers that neither of them would hurt a child.

I wish we could hear from the woman living in the caravan, if PS was such a sleaze, i wonder if she was scared of him too. He seemed to spend quite a long time with her.

We’re for Sydney | Daily Telegraph

In 2017, Jubelin and Detective Sergeant Laura Beacroft interviewed Savage at Port Macquarie police station.

It emerged Savage had been making a “pest of himself” around William’s foster grandmother.

The court heard it reached a point where the grandmother had to ask Savage, via his wife, to stay away from her home.

“You have been asked to stay away from the house where the child is abducted,” Jubelin asked Savage during the interview.

“There is (William’s foster mother and grandmother) and you, the only three adults who hear this child playing around the time he disappears.

“Can you see why we might be looking at you and thinking this is a bit strange?”

But Savage said he would never hurt a child.

“I have not in any way, shape or form set about to deliberately upset anybody,” he said in teh interview.

“I have always stood by my wife and my family and I would’ve done anything I could to help this family.”

snip

Though Savage didn’t fight the AVO or the allegations in it — including following the postwoman and turning up at her workplace crying — he told Jubelin it was “all lies”.

Savage had also taken a covert police camera — that was meant to be hidden in a tree — after his daughter found it in 2016, the court heard.

BBM : after his daughter found it in 2016??? Surely that's an error?

I'm now really confused when this camera was found

ABC Mid North Coast

A Sydney court's heard a person of interest in the William Tyrrell investigation found a covert camera that had been hidden near his property by police but didn't return it for months.

Mr Savage found the camera in early 2016 but a recorded police interview played to a Sydney court has revealed he kept it for months.

Mr Savage said he assumed it was a police camera and handed it over the next time police visited despite having contact details for investigating police.

Ditto

I have been pondering about the darn camera since we heard about it ..:rolleyes:

One recording, in which Jubelin discusses the possibility William died in an accident, was played in Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.

Jubelin made the tape when he visited Mr Savage and his daughter at Kendall in May 2018.

After explaining that Mr Savage's version of events "didn't add up", Jubelin said he had "concerns that you've lost touch with reality".

"You're twisting things," Mr Savage said in the recording.

Suggestion Tyrrell died in 'accident'

The post lady told police that Mr Savage seemed to think they were in love and should be together. She was married, and says she knew him only from brief chats when she dropped off the mail.

She asked for the AVO after he followed her from his house, to tearfully tell her that he missed her.

Mr Savage denied being a neighbourhood pest, and insists that he “never done nothing to hurt the little fella (William.)”

The interview shows Mr Jubelin asking Mr Savage: “Did you make a pest of yourself around (William’s foster Nana)?” in the months before William disappeared.

“Oh, give me a break,” Mr Savage replied. “I’d see her, I’d ask her if she needed hand.”

He agreed that he’d been told to stay away from the house; and to stay away from the local “post lady.”

“I raised with you that perhaps it was Heather,” Mr Jubelin said, referring to local rumours that William had been accidentally run over, on Heather’s way to Bingo. “I fully understand you love that woman. You would do anything to protect her.

“People do cover things up. I’m not sitting here in judgment.”

Mr Savage emphatically denied it, saying Heather would “raise the roof” in despair if she hit a child on the road.

Mr Jubelin suggested that perhaps Mr Savage had run William over, when moving his car.

“If it’s an accident, that can be resolved,” Mr Jubelin said.

“Some things that appear horrendous are really not that horrendous when it’s all said and done.

“If he’s been hit, that’s understandable. It’s not something you have to live with for the rest of your life. You’ll be looked after. You will get the treatment to help deal with this.”

The court is now being played another recorded phone call between Jubelin and Savage where Jubelin tells him the suit they planted there wasn’t white, it was only red and blue. But the suit William was wearing when he vanished did have a white part on the top.

This sounds crazy!!! Lol

For a while now I have been able to go to twitter & look at 'recent' or 'top' - I did this for Jubes the other day, but I don't know how to copy the link - it seems I can maybe (not being a member even) - but the upload button seemed so complicated. Not sure if it's just easier to join?
peekinandy,

I'm not sure what you mean, sorry: "upload button"? If you're talking about WebSleuths, I can only see an "Upload a File" button and then two options: "Take Photo or Video" or "Photo Library".

Here's how I copy the URLs of tweets:

1. Find a Twitter page e.g. the Daily Telegraph. In any tweet, click on the timestamp (example is circled in orange).

2. Click in the URL/address/location bar > choose Select All > choose Copy.

Ok so that gives the whole quote & the person's name at the top - which is what I see when other people re-tweet? Thanks! I will give it a go

No, it will only give you a URL, which you can then paste into a WebSleuths post as an ordinary link. I don't know how to embed the tweets.

Wow... that was heavy. sounded crazy when I started reading about planted Spider-Man suits... but now heavy and sad. Hearing Jubes talk in past tense about William.

Not sure what to make of it all really.

Savage is 100% full of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and a creep...Confirmed by the recordings.

Would they be airing this if he is guilty? Though?
