Another interesting case in Sydney today, not sure if its in the same place as Jubelin’s but could be very revealing.

@kiwi50 can you possibly give us any other hints to narrow down the search eg name of magistrate / judge and the initials please??

A Detective Senior Constable who worked on the Strike Force for more than 3 years is on the stand and being questioned by Jubelin’s lawyer Margaret Cunneen. She asks her if she ever witnessed Jubelin “belittling or bullying” any officer at any time. She responds “no”.

I’m intrigued! I’ve looked through all Sydney cases sitting today and can’t see one that might be relevant to this case...

The officer is asked if “one of the big problems” with the Strike Force was “insufficient staff” to keep up. She replied “yes, definitely”.

Cunneen asks her if Homicide Commander Scott Cook had the attitude that there would be “no success” with the Tyrrell investigation and it “should be discontinued”. She responded “yes”.

This is the saddest thing ... (from your link). Potentially allowing so much time for the perpetrator to cover his tracks. And/or for nature to conceal/destroy forensics. And/or for William to be relocated and hidden more thoroughly.

.... the investigation, while high-profile, was also chronically under-resourced and “often thousands of pieces of information behind” with “thousands of investigative notes” and possible tips and sightings not followed up, as well as “days and days and weeks’ worth of surveillance device material” not listened to.


I wonder if they have listened to all of the surveillance device material by now? So many clues that perhaps are still sitting in William's file.

so sad, and especially if they have whittled down sfr to a smaller team, what a nightmare!

Sergeant Scott Jamison is now on the stand. He told the court he’s no longer with Homicide because he’s been promoted to sergeant at a local area command. He previously worked on the Tyrrell case monitoring the surveillance devices.

Jamison told the court he never witnessed Jubelin bullying or harassing anyone “in any meeting I attended”. He described his briefings as “lengthy and thorough”.

Jamison told the court Jubelin provided the recordings to other members of the strike force to “assist with accuracy” of the transcripts made from the listening devices. He told the court he assumed the recordings were lawful.

Detective Inspector Darrin Bachelor is back on the stand. He’s with the Professional Standard Command. The Crown is asking him about other recordings found on Jubelin’s phone, including one of Family Court proceedings in WA. Another with Mark Leveson, who consented to it.

Was the foster parent's vehicle forensically examined? I know that the FF said in the podcast that it was, but do we know this for certain?

FF have been ruled out as suspects. Please refrain from comments like this as we need this thread open

I personally am perfectly satisified with jubes explanation and comprehension and advice sought in his dealings with savage.(not that my opinion has any value more importantly I hope this opinion stands clear in the court.)

in my opinion i think its important to keep an open mind too though, we only have the select minimum info fed to us from msm which we all decipher in our own ways and dont have to or shouldnt just accept anything without question, no matter who says it, we all get gut reactions to certain people which sways our opinions rightly or wrongly and my gut reaction to ps is very different to that of bs, but i dont think either of these men are involved
this case was stuffed up from the start and i feel very sorry for gj not being able to follow through

Media was stationed outside the house from the time they heard about the disappearance, but they never reported (that I have ever seen or heard) either of the vehicles (FGM's and FP's) being towed away for forensic exam. I believe they hung around at least until the FPs returned to their home. So if the vehicles were examined, it must have been much later. imo.
