I wish Jubes was never taken off the case. He was so committed to finding dear William. I somehow hope he can go back and somehow solve this crime.

The court heard the decision to charge Jubelin over the recordings was made by Assistant Commisisoner Michael Willing, who was Jubelin’s former boss at the Homicide Squad.

Officer Bachelor told the court Professional Standards did not take a statement from Savage until after Jubelin was charged, to ask whether or not he had consented to the recordings.

If they rule no wrongdoing by Jubelin in the recordings of PS- can they be used against PS in further criminal proceedings.

My opinion is that the investigation is an elimination process. Everyone is a POI until they can be excluded. There is so much information that are not privvy to. I believe they had a valid reason to pursue PS for all reasons already stated before. His 2 hours that he was unaccounted for is still very suspicious to me...
Has PS given a clue as to what he was doing those 2 hours?

Officer Bachelor told the court the media was somehow informed Jubelin would be charged before they’d even had a chance to serve him with the court attendance notice. In fact, they heard it reported on the radio while they were driving to his house to serve him with the papers.

36 Admissibility of evidence
If the exercise of powers without a warrant in an emergency or under an emergency authorisation is approved under section 35, evidence obtained because of the exercise of those powers is not inadmissible in any proceeding merely because the evidence was obtained before the approval.

Cunneen asks Bachelor if there has been any internal investigation into who leaked the details to the media so quickly. He told the court there had not.

It's very telling of NSWP isn't it?
I think someone’s personal grievance with GJ has come to be a huge expense to poor Williams case being solved.

Maybe a bit less. Just a six figure sum.

Well, after reading all of today's tweets and articles, I think that things are looking okay for Jubes.

What a freakin' witch hunt, as well as a huge waste of the court's time and money.

If anyone is going to sue the NSWP, I think it should be him. Sue them for the lost wages that he could have earned until retirement (meaning 65-70 years old), plus great injury to his reputation.

This is actually up to the trial Judge IMO.

This means that even though the recording was obtained illegally, it may still be used in court if the desirability of admitting the recording outweighs the undesirability of admitting material obtained in that particular way.

Can Evidence That is Recorded Illegally be Used in Court?
